Will GTA V run on my gaming laptop?

Recommended Posts

It is an MSI CX62 6QD, and it can run GTA IV completely fine, i assume it can run GTA V, but i am nervous about buying it, because of the size.

I found a video of someone running it at around 50-60 fps. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BACkTxnqqTc]

Thanks.

My specs are;

Intel Core i5-6300HQ
CPU 2.30GHz
8GB Ram
Windows 10

Batman Who Laughs

Anything that runs 4 can basically run 5 better. The 4 port for PC was garbage, plus 4 was built on the 3 core XB360 so when it went onto a X86 based PC it was less than useless.

Depending on whether it is the DDR3 or GDDR5 version of the 940MX, will make a lot of difference. 2 GiB of memory will effectively force you down to medium at best, which should be quite comfortable with that GPU. I'd say for a smoother frame rate, drop down to 720p, instead of going full-screen.

Not a problem. Download and run GPU-Z. It'll let you know. :)

Sounds like it's reporting system memory. If possible, could you screenshot it and upload it to Imgur?

But to summarize, whether it's the DDR3 or GDDR5 version, I wouldn't be comfortable pushing it beyond 720p on a mixture of low-medium settings. You'll definitely be able to play it, but you'll need to adjust the settings for your specific configuration. If you do decide to get the game, enjoy it.

Ah, I see your problem. It's reporting the Intel graphics by default. Switch it up to the NVIDIA graphics from the dropdown menu at the bottom.

You did? I thought you were asking whether it would run or not.

If it has an igpu from intel, then you ll propably have to make some sacrifices in graphics quality.
