So I got 1,093,276 two days ago, which makes no sense to me as there is no way I've spent upwards of 8.4 mil. As I was loading in today I got a screen saying I've been awarded my stimulus and rebate, yet I received nothing today.

 

I guess the loyalty reward is the stimulus and tax + 100k on top but then again it still doesn't make sense since I didn't spend 10M during that week and I got $1.350M.

We got, respectively, 1.3mil, 850k and 400k.

 

I started playing in June, they started 3 years ago.

 

It is NOT related to how long, it's related to how often. Period.

I think it's related to how much you spent + 250k. Some have 1.35 because the game couldn't work out how much to give, so have them max.

 

As for the extra 100k, I'm guessing an error again. I've seen the splash screen and it only states the loyalty is made up from the two things above.

I got 2 mil 13 thousand total a few days ago. First a mil loyalty then second screen just said 2013000 has been deposited to my account

As you should, we haven't gotten any casual clothing additions in well over a year now. I/E was the last of that. All Tryhard clothing ever since, apart from the scuba suit

What bugs me most about this goofy "tax refund" stuff is that when Rockstar came along and removed money (both legit and gifted), it was such a big deal about cheaters, taking aim at cheaters, etc.

I've never "cheated" at the game, but I was given money, not by my own volition. I never complained when they took that money away, either though, but I was annoyed that I'd bought Shark Cards that may have been affected, too, in that money wipe.

But NOW, this is the second or third time they've given money away for no real reason, other than to stimulate gameplay interest during a lull period. It may not be hypocritical, but it sure seems like it.

"Someone gave you $500,000 illegally, so we need to remove that from your account, but if you wait a year, we'll give you $500,000 in two installments. Enjoy!"

And yes, I understand that many "gifts" were far larger than $500k. I'm just saying that it seems like we're not the only one's versed at playing games.

That said, if they really wanted to stimulate gameplay interest, especially among long-time players, they'd let us SELL our stuff, like Pegasus, properties, clothing, weapons, etc.

I mean, I have no use for two different Cargobobs, an oversized Dump truck that doesn't dump, or an Airport Bus that spawns up in the theater district.

^^ Couldn't have said it better! In total agreement with the selling of vehicles/properties we don't use--heck, decrease how much we get back--but at least let us get rid of it.

 

But also a couple issues that really bother me:

 

* R*'s mechanism for detecting fake GTA$ is borked. So is their mechanism for giving their own players free GTA$. And yes, I've also lost Shaft Card money along with unsolicited script kiddie GTA$ when I've been money wiped. So I seriously have to ask: how screwed up does your code have to be incapable of consistently GIVING each player who simply logs in to your system some GTA$? You have legit players who aren't getting the free GTA$ that should be, and they're understandably not happy campers. Find out why and fix it. If such a thing were possible.

 

* R* also speaks out of both sides of their mouth:

- On one side, they are intensely obsessive about players making too much money, and so the game is plagued with cool downs, as well as cheater-level tactics to chip away at player GTA$ and soak up player time (I/E is a perfect example of that).

- On the other side, they offer discounts, double-GTA$ events, and try to hand out free GTA$ multiple times.

 

I don't have a problem with free GTA$, discounts, OR double-GTA$, but I sure as heck wish they would make up their minds about whether they want us to make GTA$ or not. If they do, then for goodness' sake, just stop with the lazy-a$$ troll tactics, and let us earn our legit GTA$ without feeling like there are cheaters breathing down our neck even when we're in a solo public session.

 

If the I/E payouts are too high, then lower them--but FFS stop. resorting. to virtual-godmode NPCs and BS kamikaze traffic. It just looks incredibly stupid in a game that otherwise should act like it actually has a shred of intelligence.

 

The situation is, quite frankly, beyond pathetic--the contrast of NPC behavior in I/E vs. good 'ol Contact Missions says it all.

 

No question in my mind why fans like Yan2295 have lost interest in this game. The philosophy and attitude behind it remind me way too much of Microsoft: "Play this open world game our way--and like it--or take a hike."

FWIW, saw the tax rebate loading screen on two separate occasions last night, but no actual deposit in my Maze Bank account (checked the transactions log each time, and...nada).

 

Note that the "Refund" entries are Import/Export GTA$ earned from selling top-range cars (note the -$20k before each one):

 

 

So for me, just the 1.35 million deposit was made.

^^ Thanks for posting that--motivated me to submit a ticket to R* support for the tax rebate and refund I didn't get (if it was indeed supposed to be a separate gift from the 1.35 million).

 

My understanding is that it was(?) but I'll ask R* support and see if I can get a clear answer on this--will post what I find out.

Early last year when they kept giving cash sums, I got 8-10x 250k, many got many more, and less. 'Awarded $250k' thread. I noticed those splash screens never were on display the day I got the cash. But came a day, even 2 later. Often staying for up to a week after too.

 

I still get this one you show, as of last night, lol. But am certain it's just to confirm what I got from the black screen with the exact sum I received.

 

My experiences, just in case. (I bumped the correct thread too).
