Vanzant
Was given an Xbox 360 S to repair a few weeks ago. Motherboard had corrosion all over it, cleaned it up but come to find out the hard drive was the main root cause with the E68 error. The Xbox has been repaired and works without the 250GB drive plugged in. My customer wants His old saves. I have already been paid $50.00 just to clean up the fan / board and case....is it possible to get the saved games off of the crapped hard drive onto another new hard drive? If that is possible the customer is looking to pay another $50.00 for both a new Hard Drive / plus the transfer cable. I'd rather just get a new hard drive and start over...but again, the customer wants his old saves. If it's possible let me know.
sivispacem
If you can find an identical drive from a batch produced within about a month or two of his then you can usually do a mainboard swap and recover, assuming the physical platters aren't f*cked. Bit of a stretch though.
