Is GTA Online the most successful online game ever

I highly doubt it. Certainly far more successful/profitable than anybody expected it to be at launch, however.

GTAO makes more money than Minecraft. Probably because they charge the game for only 10 bucks or Im looking at the wrong thing.

 

To the OP, GTAO is on the list but compared to League of Legends and a lesser extent World of Warcraft, those games still make more money than gtao.

Not the most successful, but it's certainly up there, and it will continue to do well in profits with more and more crazy, overpriced updates.

At least in GTA everything is "affordable", by (a lot of) grinding or buying shark cards (legit ways). I played FIFA FUT before - The game gave weekly "updates" with new good cards, but overpriced by community. Playing legit in that game, you probably would NEVER be able to have all TOTY cards in the club. Even buying those FIFA points would not give you a security in that goal, bcs there is everything about luck in packs. You could spend 1000$ and get *****. In GTA with that kind of money invested in, you would get all good stuff easily (I am not saying that spending 1000$ on GTA isnt a lunatic move, I am just comparing it to FUT).
