Stock car races not appearing

I have played all of story mode and even went back and did the "Mr Phillips" mission numerous times and still no stock car races. Anyone able to help?

Rockstar is incapable of fixing this nonsense it seems. I and several others have suffered this and as far as I know, if you un-link and re-link your SC account it will make the races appear.

I'm sorry I'm kinda new to all this... What is a SC and how would I go about unlinking and relinking?

Never mind I got it figured out. I didn't have the social club set up so I set it up and now the races have appeared thanks for the help

I have the same problem for 2 to 3 years. Only thing that works for me is to do all 5 stock car races before the story mission "Nervous Ron". After each race go up the road close to the train tracks near sandy shores airfield and do a quick save on a new save slot. After nervous ron mission the stock car races will be gone forever.

I'm trying to get the cars now and nothing comes up I've signed into my social club account on my xbox and still the races dont appear

I'm having the same problem now, just un-linked and re-linked my social club account on ps4 but races don't appear

You have to be a "Returning player" for these to appear. Only requirement for this is to have your social club linked and played the first mission on either Xbox 360 or PS3 until you unlock the achievement (I guess this is how it determines if you are a returning player). After that it becomes available on the enhanced editions of GTA V (PC, Xbox One, PS4, Etc.).

I think it is unfair that someone can’t get 100 percent completion of the game if they aren’t a returning player from ps3 when they haven’t played it on the ps3. I want to do the stock car races but I can’t because of me not playing it on the ps3. Can someone fix this please!

Yeah! I had the same problem. It took so long but with a lot of research, digging, and getting in touch with Rickstar Games themselves. I confirmed that Rockstar with an update removed the stock car races because of all the glitches with it.

They told me there was a glitch in the update programing, that after the Nervouse Ron mission they will be gone completely. But the glitch was a minor one and was only happening on just a few 100 acoounts that recieved the update.

Still not fixed as of the LS Tuners Update on Xbox One in 2021.

I had the same problem too, and here is my solution. (I play on PS4 and PS5)

Save the game first.

Delete the game and reinstall it.

Do not update to the new version, let the game keep v1.0. Keep offline or just stop the auto downloading.

Load the saving and the race will show up. 
There will be only race 1-4 if the game is still v1.0. I think it’s because that Cheval Marshall is in newer version.

In case the races disappear again, I played race 1-4 with game v1.0. After finishing race 4 I saved the game and updated the the latest version (v1.38).

Then I loaded in the game and it went back to race 1.
I was thinking about giving up, but I started the races  all over again and the race 5 and Cheval Marshall showed up!

What happens to the rest of your savegame when you try this solution? I've got 100%, done almost everything (apart from the golden peyote and the murder mystery), even the stuff that was for former PS3 players like the Dodo, monkey mosaic and animal photography. I don't want to lose my progress, not in my game but also not in the Rockstar SC. Or would I have to start from scratch again!?

And in that save file the race icon is present, and I can do those races (although the story progress on that one is around 33%, before "Nervous Ron").

I'll correct myself, the newer save file is actually at 24.2%, and "Nervous Ron" is completed. The last played mission is "By the book".

Okay I can confirm that deleting the game and reinstalling it to v 1.00 (no updates) will bring the stock car races to bugged save files . 

 

1. Delete the game and reinstall without updating 

2. After installing the game to v 1.00 load into your save file that's having the stock car problem  

3. When the game starts switch to Trevor wait like 10-15 seconds until you get a text message from Ron. Now you will be able to participate in the stock car races.   

4. After completing the four races I highly recommend that you DON'T overwrite any of your important save files for obvious reasons. After updating to current version you may lose your vehicles you stored in garages that where part of DLC updates e.g. T20, Vindicator etc.
