Why no Spanish/Mexican character?

As the protaganist? I mean .. think about it. Mexico is like our neighbor. Now whether you like it or not. (If you are racist gtfo) i don't want cup cakes in here that can't handle what i am gonna say.

 

Mexicans are like brothers to us. And the US has a high population of Mexican Americans and Americans with dependents from Mexico. And it's just growing and it's going to AND you can't stop it. So why the heck hasn't a Mexican American main Character ever made into a GTA game? I mean .. come ON!!! Seriously this White / Italian / Russian / Black type of wannabe hardcore gangers type of sh*t has to seriously stop!! Lol

 

I mean yeah ... yeah ... San Andreas was alright. Things like that used to happen. You know little gang fights. And every once in a while a drive by. But when does sh*t like that of the current GTA's ever happen like in the US in real life, Whites? Blacks? I mean come on man! If you are talking about hit squads, bombs, gun fights, drugs, cars, women, crime where else do you think sh*t like that is going down in reality? THINK !! MEXICO! DUH! Watch how brutal the cartels fight. It's like a war zone down there. It makes ISIS and other wars look like cotton candy. I mean it's BRUTAL down there. It makes EVERY type of gang in the US and ANY other in another part of the world look like a child's playground. Now i don't want to get into how they brutally torture and dismember / skin their rivals but it's hard core. I've seen the videos. AND i know you guys know. So don't act stupid. Like you don't know. Cause thats the reason why they want the stupid wall. (Supposely) me thinks it's a racist presi .. ...

 

I am not getting to politics. So that's all i am going to say. I'm going to leave it there.

 

My point it is. There should have been a Mexican Charcter by this time. GTA 5 should have had a Mexican Character. Why they didn't do it is just ... like stupid as hell. And honestly i didn't like the characters in GTA 5 at ALL!

 

Carl and Niko have been my only favorites ones.

 

Again the point is. I, we, rockstar we could all make this happen. A story that has to do with Mexicans, Cartels, Drugs, you know. The big stuff. Big action. There is potential for a good plot, a story. Character etc. Stuff of Chingones. Vergones. Nada de mamadas like previous GTA's. We need a change. It's the Mexican side now. REAL Mexican. The Ruthless and Brutal side of Mexicans. Type of sh*t that GTA's have been trying to imitate with white / black characters.

 

Now. I am not WANTING TO glorify the type of sh*t that goes down in Mexico. It's hell and evil down there. Children and Families get killed as well and that's evil and i hate it. But look at it this way.

 

In current GTA's. And in most type of war games. Tell me. What exactly do you do most of the time?

 

KILL! So ... are they glorifying killing? No of course not. So there you go. There shoudn't be an excuse for a game involving Cartels etc.

Now don't even try to tell me they are discriminating because that's Bull. How come there is 3 games with African Americans? Carl Johnson, Vic, Luis. Yes two of them are from the Caribbean Islands but they are totally different when it comes to Mexicans. TOTALLY OK!? Those three characters are African in blood and two are from the Caribbean. Mexico IS not an island. AND Mexicans aren't BLACK! EVERYTHING is different. Even the Spanish Accent.

 

So i think Rockstar should make the next game take place like in Texas. This game has to grow balls. Hopefully they don't turn it another cup cake game. Wannabes and stuff. Seriously or you grow balls if you don't agree with me.

 

I am going to try to convince them. I know a close friend that knows a game developer that worked on most of the GTA's as an engine programmer. I'm going to see if i can convince them.

 

And i am going to win. (also man .. if you got offended by something i said .. lol) Maybe you do need to grow balls. Because i'm Mexican and i get ALOT of sh*t daily but because i have big huevos. Me vale verga what they say. I don't get offended at ALL!

I always thought Franklin in the debut trailer (guy in the red car) had a somewhat Mexican appearance to him. It probably would been logical to have him as such, considering L.A's large Hispanic population. Not that I don't like Franklin as is, even if he does just feel like CJ 2.0.

First off, Niko isn't Russian, he's a Serb. It's mentioned many times in the story so I don't know how you got that part wrong.

 

Second, calm the f*ck down. Sure would be interesting to have a Mexican protagonist but did you have to go on a full-on rant about politics and other things that aren't related to the topic like kiddies playing GTA?

 

If you want a GTA that also takes part in Mexico, the closest thing I could recommend is Red Dead Redemption as it takes place in Texas during the Old West days and Mexico is a huge part of the game.

Can you actually relax? Some may not want a Mexican protagonist due to different reasons like wanting a story focused on the mafia. Not everyone who says they dont want a character of some ethnicity is a racist (if they give a reason rather than outright say I dont want a black/Mexican/Asian/etc. protagonist due to them being a different race)

Not sure if you know how a company works, but he's a developer. He either follows orders or will need to look for a new job. He has no power on a huge decision like the ethnicity of a character, specially an engine developer who needs to work on the technical stuff. How is he even going to convince his bosses of this idea? Saying he suddenly feels the urge to program the physics of a sombrero? That even considering this is true.

 

As for your idea, I don't mind the ethnicity of a character as long as it fits with his personality and the rest of the game.

Ok. But i can say the same thing about white characters not everyone wants a white character in every game. I know GTA is not one of them but still many people would want a Mexican. Don't forget that Mexico is part of North America. Mexico also has part in sales of video games and systems.

And besides why do you have to reject a game that involves Cartels? Why are there gangs in say San Andreas? Why in hell didn't you reject that when the game came out? Seriously. It's all excuses you are saying. YOU JUST don't want a Mexican Character. What's wrong with ... you .. ??

 

And the reason why i don't want a white or black main protagonist again is because im tired of it. It doesn't feel real. And because it's time that there should be a Hispanic one. Simple as that.

There is no need to not want one. You've had already 3 games where the main character is white. 2 games where the Character is black. Plus Luis in GTA IV. (He is Caribbean) Dominican African. So that brings it up to 3 for African Americans.

 

Don't worry though. I'm working on it already. I already contacted my buddy that lives in New York. Hopefully we can arrange a meeting with his friend that works at RockStar. Then maybe he can talk to one of the head honchos that runs the company.

@dougL4S1 .. I know about that. But that programmer is like a senior Programmer or something. He's been there years. Most people that work there know him well. I'm pretty sure he knows someone in the upper management or something. I'm going to fight this. I'm not just gonna back down. Plus. They can't fire him for just suggesting something. lol

Dominicans natives mostly mixed with Africans. Wiki has it all wrong. So don't even try searching it up. You can quickly tell for damn sakes. Just look at the hair texture and face. Even Vic Vance is African blood of Dominican Republic. There many people in the Carribeans that will deny their African blood line. It's pretty sad. It's almost as if they hate their blood line.
