BowdonUK
I enjoy the races in GTA. But some of them have massive jumps and when landing it can spin the car out, even when I think I'm landing it perfectly. I've experimented before and noticed by positioning the car in different ways the effect changes. But does anyone have any guide or advice so the car doesn't spin around when it lands? There is a Rockstar created track that has a big jump right at the end. If I don't land properly and spin around, the car in second place can sometimes overtake me. oleg_aka_djmeg
landing on rear wheels first helps more often than not. Tonguegirl, Pedinhuh and Da Elite Ninjah
Tonguegirl
It's all about the take off from the jump, you have to be at a 90 degree angle from the edge otherwise you have to try and control the car in the air which only really works on one plane of rotation (forwards and back) You don't want to be going side to side, stay horizontal. There is some movement sideways i.e as if you were steering on the ground but not enough to make a difference. Try and stay in the centre of the track or at least follow the lines of the ramp so that you know your take off is good. As oleg_aka_djmeg says land on the back of the car rather than nose first if the gradient of the landing surface is steep, flat is better for landing, well, on flat stuff or low gradients. Try to get down as fast as you can by pointing the nose of the car at the track, you'll drop faster, then level it out as you're about to land. fryday
You Van calibrate the car during the Whole Jump by steering AND by steering while handbrake is pressed. This is the trick Tonguegirl, dieseltech20, Da Elite Ninjah and 1 other

Me too. wtf lol Anyways you can "fly" the car with your joystick. Some cars better than others. It's a quality I like with both the Vagner and X80. They feel very balanced in the air. MechanicMammal
I always try to land on the rear wheels mainly so I can get the power down as soon as possible, but I also do not spin out that often doing it like this maybe 1 in a 100 times it will spin. I think having a clean take off helps as well.
Pedinhuh
-Release the accelerator right before jumping, when your 4 wheels are still on a surface. In the air, once you're close to land press the accelerator again to rev your engine up and be quicker once you're on the ground; -If you need, you can "steer" the car on air by pressing the handbrake and adjust the angle your car will have on landing - Be advised that this will lock up the rear wheels and the car will bog out when you hit the ground, which is important to remember the tip above; -Always land with the rear wheels first, even in a FWD car, this avoids your car from bottoming out and spinning on landing; You're probably taking about the last jump on the "Chilliad" race, right? You can skip that jump entirely and save about 2 seconds of your time if you do it right.
