male07mdl
How do you start making custom maps for GTA SA? Are there any applications that can help you make one, also add pedestrians to the map, etc.?
mde2
This tool You can't create maps per se but you can edit the map to your liking. I don't believe you can edit the landmass either but I'm not too familiar with the tool. I used it for about 5 minutes before I realised I was putting my toe in the deep end. If you need help I'm sure the boys in the modding forum will help you. Edited February 5, 2018 by RetroMystic

FWhyKay
I kind of have the same question. But I have a map from Goldeneye 64 that I wanna place inside of gta and I already have a spot for it. Did thd usual routine of exporting as dff and applying a collision, and then added the .dff and .txd to the gta3.img Whenever I load up MEd and search for my object and hit ok it stops working and crashes. Already checked the .col file in collision editor and it shows up fine. Help?
guard3
If you want to make a custom map, you need to clean the original map with steve-m’s Map cleaner. Then you basically need to make your own .DFF/.TXD/.COL files, load them in game. The whole process is lengthy to explain
