Original radio station in GTA 6?

Recommended Posts

LeakyLine

In my opinion, one of Rockstar's biggest mistakes was abandoning one of their most creative outlets - the radio stations consisting of Rockstar-created music. Most of GTA and GTA 2's songs were original, although some were just very little known. They did a very nice job with the songs they created. Two stations in III followed suit, Lips 106 and Head Radio. Some really good music on there. But they really shined their brightest on Liberty City Stories. They captured the vibe of the mid to late nineties so well. Lips 106 had the whole Backstreet Boys/NSYNC vibe, as seen here

And Head Radio had the whole nineties contemporary vibe down SOLID.

Why did they stop doing this? I know Head Radio was cut from IV, but it's anybody's guess whether it was original music or real music. I really hope GTA 6 gets one of these :(

Yes I really loved them in GTA 3 and in LCS

It depends in what time it's set in though. If it's in the 90s, 00's, and modern day I can see them doing that. If it's in the 80s or earlier it'll be harder IMO

I want to listen to songs that are real, not by some fake band. It can be either recognizable hits or a nice music discovery. R* putting their own songs in the game gives me neither.

You know the game these songs appeared in were alongside real songs, right?

GTA V had a whole host of original music that they had created for the game. I don't necessarily see the problem.

This, but...

Songs created exclusively for the game by real artists =/= songs created by Rockstar

I'd say it was a good move. 99% of it sucked, especially Love Fist. This is pretty much the only good song they made:

I liked some of their original music, but nah. They should stick to real-life music. Good music that is, not the crap they had in V, lmao.

BTW, you posted the same song twice.

I'm fine with it as long as they continue to be alongside real songs. There's no reason why it shouldn't be there for the ones who would listen to it. Others can simply listen to whatever station they choose to listen to.
