I've got an i5 4650 and a gtx 970 with 16 gigs of RAM and the game runs pretty well for me in 2D ... But I just started playing it again in 3D/VR and now my mid-range system suddenly isn't so mid-range anymore.

 

So I'm looking for something like a texture replacement mod--something that would help me gain a few more frames without thrashing the graphics too bad ...

 

Any suggestions?
