So which act is the best to grind for money with 2 people?

Recommended Posts

Act 1 has the server farm, which can go really poor really fast. Act 2 has the garbage hard drive retrieval that's a total pain in the ass because everyone needs to be in the Riot. Act 3 has the painfully slow bombing mission and the finale can be rough.

I want to practice one act with my buddy and grind it for cash, but I'm not sure what the best option is, because each act has at least one mission that can just go horribly wrong...

I created a spreadsheet to work out your $ per hour linked here:

http://gtaforums.com/topic/902903-heist-payout-calculator-which-is-most-profitable-to-host/

Put in your expected times for each prep, set up and finale with two people, and it will tell you which nets you the most per hour.

Initially however I suspect ACT 3 is actually going to be the best with two people. All the preps and setups aren't actually any harder with 2 people than 3 or 4 if you do them right. If you can handle the finale I reckon it will work out better.

I would avoid act 2. Rescue ULP and Salvage Hard Drives are a lot easy with 3 or 4 people, plus you have to source 4 strombergs. Act 1 sourcing 4 Deluxos is similarly tedious with less than 4 people.

In summary - I'd recommend act 3 if you can handle the finale. Act 1 if you find that a bit difficult with only 2 players.

Act 2 is not that bad, considering how easy the finale is and the payout on Hard is $1.2 m.

Avenger, Rescue ULP and Salvage can be done by 2 good players.

And I always do my own preps before I start any heist setups, including strombergs and Deluxos by myself in free mode.

^ It's not a question of whether they can be done, it's whether they are efficient with two players. All Act III setups can pretty much be done with 2 players as effectively as with 3 or 4. I find Rescue ULP and Salvage Hard drives can be done much quicker with 3 or 4 players.

I think act 3 is best, because most money and missions are simple.

Definitely act 3. The preps & setups are easier & more convenient. The Finale itself is cool once the initial shock of the clones wears off. The best part is that you get to kill Avon over & over again.

Personally I'd say Act II is the best one to "grind"

Easy setups and a fairly easy finale, Act III's first setup and the finale are a nightmare. Def not grind worthy imo, almost not even worth the money for the insane difficulty.

me and my faithful companion have been doing all three acts in order over and over again, and all of the missions in all of the acts get easier with practice.

in rescue ulp i use the insurgent custom - not as a weapon, but to block view from the goons out in the field, making me having better control of my HP. it is also very nice to have an escape vehicle readily available right outside the door when player 1 comes out with ulp.

rescue agent 14 is practice, and practice alone.

avenger was a bit tricky for a while, cos my lazy co-player didn't bother to research thermal scope for the longest while. i'd have 30 kills, him 4, and we'd restart over and over again. then one fine day he clearly had gotten the scope and told me "this is too easy with a thermal scope". guess what i told him the first time we played this setup.

the real time grabs are the 4 item pickups. if you're aiming to grind these heists for a while, there is also the added bonuses of less monotony by doing all of them, and the extra cash with the loyalty and all in order things, as well as a real practice for a proper mastermind run !

This is why I favour Act III for two players. Unlike Act I and II, there isn't one of these preps!

^ Act III has more preps to do though and the ones before rescuing Agent 14 are dry as hell lol

I rather do escort ulp and act 3 preps 10 times than do salvage hard drive again.

Randoms in these heists have been pretty decent so I go with act 3.

It seems best for you and a friend to split up do your own preps. I do the first 5 preps in under 40 minutes so thats not too bad. Host setups to randoms then meet up with your friend for the 2 finales. Split both finales 50/50 and thats 1.5 mill for about 2.5 hours of work.

Yea a bit douchebagish but you can thank R for the sh*tty payout system.

I tried act 2 preps solo yesterday and it sucked, wont bother with act 2 again.

Never said it was hard, It's boring and long as hell!

The RCV is just so damn slow! And steers like a bus.

Remember that associates get 45 grand per setup in act III which is nothing to sneeze at.

If you're both good at the game & coordinated then the finale isn't too bad. Move together, Always have your snacks/armour menu open, watch out for the insta-kill enemies, The usual really. Me & my friend usually have the CEO doing the hacking so that the other person can get the health re-gen proximity bonus.

Act I might be good to speed through if the host is willing/rich enough to buy the prep equipment, all 3 of those preps are a royal pain imo.

The Chernobog setup is way longer and more repetitive especially if you're driving the thing Edited by Rafae

The Chernobog is the only really bad one.

But I repeat, the ops question is about 2 players.

And the real killer for Act 2 is sourcing the 4 strombergs. Act 3 has one extra prep and setup which can easily be done combined in half the time.

Avenger also has a fly back that is the full length of the map. The Act II finale is a doddle admittedly even with two players, but but most other tasks are slowed down if you don't have a full team.

The Act 3 preps are all single location pickups. They are easily done solo, never mind with two. If the leader stays in the facility and launches marked cash right after the recon of the dry dock you can also save a lot of time as player 2 will already be in the right locale.

Act 3 is easier and faster to grind by far.

I do all my preps in 30 minutes.

Fill my bunker beforehand.

Start setups with my buddy on Hard.

Done in an hour, trip skip all the drives.

Knock out finale in 40 minutes.

I sell my bunker.

I do this almost every day.

Make at least $1.5m every day.
