Rockstar games question..?

Recommended Posts

DetectivePhelps

Okay, My story is I own the original Xbox to where I bought my first game, Vice City which came with another game like a pack, GTAIII. & Max Payne, The Fall of Max Payne.

I use to have an xb360 but..up in smoke. I bought an Xbox One.

Any chance of Vice City being a Backward compatibly? I know its a long shot. Any thoughts..Just thoughts?

And MP- & 2?

Also when I use to own Xbox 360, I bought San Andreas.

What are the odds to all these being Backward compatibly or remastered?

XB1 is the console I use for games & I love & cherish disk classics to even my original Xbox.

Any opinions or facts or thoughts would help me understand.

Sorry for my questions, Im old school when it comes to these great classics.

Thanks in advance.

Backwards compatibility on the Xbox One? Maybe, Microsoft announced OG Xbox compatibility on the One at last years E3 so it's possible Rockstar would support it. Though, don't they have ports of their classics on the Xbox store already? I know they have ports of a bunch of their classics on the PS4 store.

Im not sure about digital Vice City or others. Im disk fan of these games & I would love to own any console to play the classics. But with college and all, I cant afford another station. Ill keep my fingers crossed.

Thank you for the response, I truly appreciate this.

Both IV and RDR have disc-based Xbox One backwards compatibility support so with a bit of luck once Microsoft ramp up their disc-based OG Xbox backwards compat they'll also support the older GTA's and Max Paynes, so you might get your wish at some point. :)

Thats so true. I have IV stand alone game of Nikos story & RDR, I cant get enough of those. I bought Episodes of Liberty City but it Cosme with Tlad & tbogt. Love it though as the music such as Ram Jam & Vice FM is included.

As what you had mentioned, Im counting minutes for the day it happens. Max Payne is such a feel good story, you know Mona Sax. lol. Good stories you dont see often.

I did buy my remastered of L.A Noire, My dream game.

Ill be here checking this forum for any updates.

Thank you again👍🏼

Not yet but it would be a no brainer for them especially since they were back compat on 360 but a digital version could be problematic as they would have to make a version with removed songs built on top of the tmgta trilogy version since that was the kast revision of the games. For example Vice City would be the Haitian friendly version with a ton of missing songs and a broken radio because of it, gta 3 would have O mio removed, San andreas would be version 2 with a broken radio and songs removed. The first disc versions of the Xbox games would be your best bet to get the maximum enjoyment from them if they become back compat.

GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas were reportedly confirmed to be made backwards compatible sometime this year. Rockstar will most likely be doing it.

PC Gamer Master Race.

I pity the console peasants who cant have a taste of great classic games from past.

Get a gaming pc and play all games from past and present without worrying about backward compatibility.

As tasty as that sounds, Im good. I managed to plug in my original Xbox AV-1 as I have my XB1 on hdmi.

Ive been playing Vice City & it truly looks nice for some me reason. All the 80s music, no glitch and just perfect.

Personally, I could never buy mobile versions. I just cannot. But for others thats good.

PC? Yeah, It sounds tasty but I have a job saving all I can which Im just about saved up a few for college. So thats why Im stay sticking to what works for me. I appreciate your advice though.

If the BoX1 backcompatability for San Andreas/GTA3/ViceCity does it mean

( REMASTERED ) cos the Pocket/Mobile edition is without multiplayer online ?

I truly hope they make San Andreas Backward compatibly for xb1. I have the 360 version.

Is there any concrete evidence that it will happen or it may happen. Such a fun classic game.
