Losing AR Ammo

Every single time I log into Online, I only have 240 ammo left in my ARs. If I go to buy more and then go into a contact mission, once it is over I am back down to 240 ammo. How can I stop this?

Play a different game.

 

There isn't a known solution yet - some people say changing the tint or livery on the problematic firearm(s) helps, but it's ultimately something Rockstar Games needs to sort out. The issue came about as of Gunrunning and it's disappointing that it still hasn't been rectified, despite support personnel stating "they're aware and a fix is being worked on".

This only started happening when I upgraded my Bullpup to mk2, so I'll try changing the livery color on that.

I had the same problem. Was also losing ammo from other weapons. It was costing me about $70,000 each time.

 

If you're using a gun locker to have a custom loadout. Stop. Go to gun locker, set everything to "show".

 

This fixed it for me. Haven't had the issue since. It sucks carrying weapons I never use, but it beats the alternative.

Ok, I'll try that. Changing livery color didn't do anything, so hopefully, that will work for me.

Do you have mkII weapons and explosive rounds? I have this problem with my marksman for many months. It happened before and after I made it mkII, pretty much ever since I switched my sniper to explosive rounds but I dont wanna give them up and Im not sure if that would do anything.

 

edit--eh did not work for me. anytime I enter a lobby screen the ammo is automatically removed.

Yea I have tried a bunch of fixes but they only work for a couple days then its back to the same sh*t again. For me its only the marksman where I have the problem. The prices are f*cked up too. If I go in moc they want 36K but If I go to interaction menu they want 76K. I think the problem is the explosive rounds as getting rid of them is something I havent tried yet. If its not the ex rounds then I am clueless. Sometimes I lose the ammo randomly but yesterday I noticed losing it immediately after returning to a lobby from a job lobby screen. And I was able to replicate it. Like literally buy ammo, open phone join any job, sent to lobby screen, back out and ammo gone.

My marksman always goes back to 12/16. Its total bullsh*t when I get into a sniper fight because Im either getting killed while trying to buy the damn ammo in the middle of it or I have to leave the fight, its really frustrating.

Same thing happening to me on rifle class . Always switching back to 240 rounds . Right now all I do is fill up to 500 ish . I did notice that if I empty the ammo to 0/0 then rebuy 360 rounds .... those 360 rounds showed up in the next session even though I ran them down to under 100 from my last session . Very annoying though
