top 5 best weaponized aircraft in your opinion?

I like the starling and pyro, but not sure if they are worth spending the money on for what you get

The First Hunter

For what?

For dogfights imo Pyro is the new king but for air to ground vehicles jets are still better.

Hunter is armed to teeth with a co pilot and Akula can terrorize a lobby alone.

Avenger
Hunter

Akula
P996 Lazer
Pyro (never flown it but it has a reputation)

You need to specifically learn how to fly a Starling if you want the Starling to be an effective dogfighter. Starling is my favorite dogfighter, but I probably wouldn't try to fight a Hunter or Avenger in it, unless I wanted a challenge.

It won't be a popular opinion, but for me, the Nokota is as close to perfect as I can get.

Granted, I dont pvp unless pushed into it, so that has a basis on my reasoning.

I like the looks of the Nokota, the sound, just.. the "presence" it has, I like the rockets, and I'm nowhere as near an ace as some people, but I've flown mine for enough hours that I'm confident in my abilities when in it. When forced into pvp, I can hold my own. I may win or I may lose, but I don't care either way, as long as I've made that kill difficult for the other guy to get.

I use my aircraft for crate running, and if it's not the Nokota, I grab the Molotok. (Unless its the stupid one where I have to escort the titan, in which case I grab a Hydra.)

Isn't Nokota the same as Rogue but with savage missiles and without explosive rounds?

Depends on what you're looking for.

My 2 picks would be The Hunter and The Akula.

The Hunter, with a co-pilot is pretty much unstoppable. It is also great solo, you just won't have use of the cannon. I have been able to wipe everyone in a session out multiple times over with this beauty.

The Akula is useful if you like being sneaky. You can creep in behind someone without being seen, blast off some missiles, and be gone before they even respawn. If you're good, they'll never even set eyes on you once.

Both choppers also have bombs, and they allow you to get directly on top of someone, which prevents them from shooting you. Then you can rain hell upon them.

Lazer, reigns the land and the air. The only thing that the Lazer can't fight, consistently, is an explosive sniper, Oppressors and Thrusters are the lesser threats, you'll pretty much need to rely on your homing missiles to take them out. So apart from these things, the Lazer pretty much dominates. On ground, absolutely nothing but the explosive sniper is safe.

Pyros and Starlings are also good, sure, but the Lazer can take them out in seconds, before they manage to get on your tail (e.g., the first approach).

Only the Starling comes 2nd, IMO, because it can also ravage ground targets with bombs, and it's small size and manouverability makes it a very difficult opponent in dogfights. Still, nothing some good aiming with a Lazer won't deal with.

Piro

Best weaponized aircrafts?

Pyro - great for dogfights, can take out jets with no problem, super fast, has 2 seats and its easy to land.

Hunter(with chaff) - perfect against vehicles with super rockets (like r2k, oppressor and deluxo)

CEO Buzzard - served us well for years. (I think we should get custom version at this point)

Avenger - flying tank with great armor and great weapons (and that hover mode is pretty cool as well)

Akula - unlimited offradar is fun and useful

Honorable mentions:
Nokata, Molotok, SeaBreeze, Deluxo, Jetpack

Hunter because it's a badass heli, strong, agile and fast af.

Nokota because it's got great missiles, guns are so-so (strong, but not explosive) and it's the best looking plane imo. It's a P51 Mustang. Need I say more?? ;P

Isn't Nokota the same as Rogue but with savage missiles and without explosive rounds? In general body shape, sure. And I use that loosely, because even then they arent /that/ close.

Speed, rouge (supposedly) has the Nokota beat. I don't know, I've never raced them, and I'm not going to attempt to talk about things based on my own guesstimation.

I can say that in general, the rouge just fails to trip any of my buttons. It's a good aircraft, but I just can't seem to like it enough for one to stick around. I hate how twitchy the handling is, and even though I got better at controlling it, it still annoyed me when I had mine.

I also hardly ever use a plane to bomb with, and if I do, it's usually just NPC's or random things Im roleplaying are German factories or something, and if I'm roleplaying in that sense, then the mogul comes out..

The rouge does have explosive cannons, but they're slow-firing, and besides, I already have the hydra, so if I know I'll need the explosives, I'll just hop into that.

The rouge also has the option for regular machine guns, but.. why? 2 regular machine guns on the Rouge vs. 4 on the Nokota.

The rockets: the rockets seem to be the same speed and tracking ability to my untrained eye, but the Nokota being able to spam fire is definitely a plus over the Rouge's cooldown timer, imho.

When it comes to looks and sound, the Nokota has the Rouge beat, in my opinion. There's just something about that low roar of a Rolls-Royce Merlin and the painted battle graphics of the Nokota that just makes me shake with anticipation.

Also, takeoff/landing. I don't remember much, but I do remember the Rouge seeming to take a hellishly long time to take off, and I remember having to come in to land at a pretty low altitude and a pretty flat angle, or else there was a chance you'd snap the landing gear off. (Done it at least once, maybe 2 or three times.. not sure how likely it is, though.) the Nokota, in contrast, definitely earns a spot as an STOL aircraft. It can land and take off from some crazy short spaces.

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. In the end, we like what we like for the reasons we like it, even if we can't express in words why we do.

Edit: fixed apostrophes.

Hunter - A beast with bombs, barrage and homing missiles as well as counter meassures. If you have a co-pilot you can add an explosive cannon to that.

Akula - No chaffs or flares but stealth mode. Bombs and missiles but is used completely different from the Hunter.

Starling - As mentioned it takes some practice compared to the other planes. But rocket boost as well as being able to glide slowly makes this a good competitor against Hydrda and Lazer griefers.

Pyro - An ordinary jet but fast and agile. Just as the Starling this plane can easily take down Lazers and Hydras as long as you avoid their explosive cannon.

Thruster - It's homing missiles could be a bit more accurate. But its big strength is its handling and size. Can stop on a dime and easily hide amongst buildings if you want to have a dogfight downtown.

#1: Akula- AntiPlayer- Ground

#2: Pyro- AntiPlayer- Aerial

#3: Buzzard- Univsersal

#4: Valkyrie- Co-Op Interaction

#5: Savage- Anti-NPC

It all comes down to the use of the aircraft in mind.

Those are the best imo, based on the different core uses & what aircraft are the best for each.

No need to have more than one for each task.

Deluxo. I was reluctant to buy it at first due to the price tag but glad I did. Its the ultimate getting from A to B machine (it's replaced the Buzzard for me) plus has decent weaponry for when it's needed. Its not the quickest thing ever but the ability to land pretty much anywhere make it great when doing CEO/Biker stuff. I don't PVP so can't comment on that side of things but it's been a godsend for doing MTU solo session business stuff.

If not talk so much and with daily experience apart from theory - Lazer and Akula. I also like Rouge as hardcore choice, to feel oldschool dogfights.

A Naughty Pilot

P996 Lazer all day. Unmatched on air to ground, though the explosive heavy causes a few bumps. Just fly low and use terrain or buildings for cover. Air to Air, it will always be my favourite because I've always used it, ended up leaderboard level dogfighter on old gen. Love those stalls😏

Honorable mentions to the besra for many sessions sitting behind wannabe dogfighters that were looking for a fight.

A lot of love for the rouge but the handling let it down big time. That would have been the new top air to ground aircraft if it had better handling. Its a shame because its based on a dedicated CAS platform too.

Buzzards can grief as well as jets in the right hands and area too, trust me.
