darkphoenix77
I just came back recently after taking a long break from the game (shortly after Bikers was released) and noticed a few things.... I was doing some stunt races for fun the other day and noticed that the Coil Voltic either needs to be buffed to be a little faster or should be dropped into either the sports class or coupe class. The reason I say this is I tend to race every vehicle I own taking turns rather then just always racing whatever is the fastest in class. When it comes to the Coil Voltic it is in the super car class, however there's two races that it has issues with. When fully upgraded it can't even complete Plummet as when it's at top speed it can't even make the second jump after you come out of the tunnel. On Chiliad when heading to the peak, after the jump it always clips the peak of the mountain and can't land the jump cleanly ever. Now, from what I've seen this particular ride is in need of being in a different class (or buffed slightly) as I am pretty sure that having cars in a class that are flat out incapable of completing a stunt race was never intended. If buffed it wouldn't need much, it misses the jump in Plummet by about 3 feet, and the second slowest car in class (the Bullet) can make the jump with no issues, so a buff to be on par with the Bullet (or maybe even slightly less) would be sufficient. In my opinion several vehicles could use some shuffling around being put in different classes but this one is one of the most glaring. On a separate note these are some other things I would like to see considered: 1. It would also be nice to see two motorcycle classes....one for normal bikes and one for super bikes. 2. A complete overhaul of all the vehicles in game to make sure that they are in classes that actually make sense (i.e. Coil Voltic, but also some others like the Faggio.....I mean it is a scooter not a motorcycle.) Maybe condense the sports classic and sports classes into just sports. 3. Some new tracks for Stunt racing that are not for the Super or Motorcycle classes, I mean come on....why have they been the only classes to get new tracks? 4. Regular street races being more prominent, I mean I like stunt racing but it would be nice if these jobs were given more of a stage. Lately it seems like everything that gets released vehicle wise has to have guns on it and cater to a specific kind of "player". 5. Why has the option to race custom cars in Splits been removed? I mean I bought a Rhapsody and modded it to race that because I hate the look of that clown car the Grotti Brioso and now there is no option to race anything but that. Why? At any rate, thanks to all that read this far....I just felt like voicing my opinion a little in this mini rant and hope someone from Rockstar actually reads and considers these opinions. It's just been a little frustrating lately as it seems like the game is catering more and more (especially lately) to the death match "kill anything that moves" crowd and there are other types of players that do play this game is all I am saying. My normal Akuma wins races against Drags because the riders couldn't handle basic ramp jumps or tight turns well with the Drag. I'm sure if we were racing on sheer straightaways, the Drag would've kicked my tailpipe, but as it was, we were city racing and the Drag (or maybe just the riders) isn't that "super" when in comes to close quarters. Interesting idea though, for sure. 2. I think everyone would like to see a reclassification of many vehicles. For me, putting a fully customized Elegy against a Futo is just silly. 3. Totally agree. Never going to happen, but boy would I love to see a Coupe Stunt track or even an SUV Stunt track. It's always been hard to find quality races for out-of-class vehicles in this game, even in the early days. But, back then, there was more of it because of the lower number of vehicle types compared to now. 4. GTA races have always been fun, but again, I agree. Last night I joined an older race called Dipping In and I won, mostly because traffic was on and the other drivers didn't understand how to use a brake! But, seriously, I have no more interest in Stunt races. They're fun, for sure, but I miss the old school race in your face school. GTAIV had the best courses for that. GTAV has them, but they are so underrated now. <sigh> 5. I can't speak on whether customs has been removed (was it there at one time?), but to be honest, I love both the Rhapsody and the Brioso, each for similar AND different reasons. It would be fantastic to bring them both into one race. I hope the custom option actually is or does become available! As a final thought, I understand your frustration. I join races frequently and have to say that about 1 out of 10 is truly a fun race. Between the boring old start crashes, pitting, and backwards drivers, I almost always land in a Stunt race where people drop out as soon as they fall behind. It used to count against you if you dropped from a race, but apparently, it's not a big deal anymore. Cheers!
No Use For A Name
It doesnt need to be buffed; it is what it is. And who cares if it isnt competitive in the Super class? It wouldnt be in the Sports class either dead goon and Gnocchi Flip Flops
tommyguns
The Voltic didn't have the speed to compete in the supers class back at the start. Certain vehicles should not be in the class they are. Take the RC1 is it? That no way has the performance to be in supers. I actually like the look, but when I tested it on my favorite tracks it couldn't even match the times of a number of sports cars, let alone super cars. Yet its in the supers class and priced around 1.3 million. Honestly there should be more classes or R* should take far more care in balancing them. It's boring when you have a class with only 1-2 realistic choices to pick if you actually want a chance of winning a race. Which is the case in multiple classes. Regardless, I like my voltic a lot. Most of the time I want a great sounding engine, but sometimes its nice to cruise and in near silence. It's a fun little car to drive and the acceleration is good. Nice, low priced free roam car. Bloodytears1666
Omnis too can't do good with some Stunt races, can't be certain, because tracks updating regularly and I played stunt races at launch. Also most of old super cars can't handle stunt races when stock, that's too I think unfair and bad design choice. To be realistic Elise in every race game is a beginner level exotic car, so no point expect more from it.
MechanicMammal
" the Omnis and Tropis both have a advantage if used on tracks with off road sections like the Stunt track Rally for example they are programmed to have less drag and more grip than other cars in those situations, the Kuruma and Comet Safari also share this property. But on 90% of Sports races that are mostly on road the Pariah is pretty much unbeatable. Back to the OP. To be honest the class system for racing is pretty broken Rstar are just putting any car in the sports class even if they would be more suited in different classes. The Faggio can be also used in the Utility class, if you can ever find a race set to the utility class it is at the top of that class. The coil voltic is not quite as bad if used in stock races but upgraded it has no chance, this is due to it not having as many performance upgrades as the cars with engines, And like any of the electric vehicles it has a low top speed but good acceleration so it is no good at all for any of stunt races where Top speed is a lot more important than it is for street racing. But I agree with most of your points. Edited January 13, 2018 by MechanicMammal

It wouldnt be in the Sports class either That's beside the point, I don't care whether or not it is competitive, just that a class shouldn't have any vehicles that can't physically even complete the race circuit. The Voltic didn't have the speed to compete in the supers class back at the start. Certain vehicles should not be in the class they are. Take the RC1 is it? See that's the thing is the Voltic could be a good car for certain tracks if there actually were any that were short quick turns with few or no straightaways so that the top in class cars couldn't fully utilize their top speed 95% of the time. As it stands however it is a pointless car for racing. The fact that it can't even complete one of it's classes races when fully upgraded is just plain stupid.
