Colonel _Cortez
For me it was the chiliad challenge. The entire race felt broken. You have to drive very carefully to not fly off the curves and at the same time you have to keep your speed, or else the unfair AI opponents will overtake you. The worst part however is that every time when you fail the race (which happens a lot) you have to get up at the top of the mountain again. This challenge was just unfair, grinding, annoying and boring. It even caused me to give up for a week. Evil empire
serjj
For me it was the Spray Tags...I went to do it myself because my mind didn't function correctly and completely forgot that I can just google an image of all the Spray Tag Locations but I have completed it now because I remembered it and Googled an Image of all the Spray Tag locations. Rhoda
A lot of the collectibles feel difficult, but that's mostly because they're tedious, not so much because they're hard to find/do necessarily. I will agree that the Chiliad Challenge took some getting used to, but I elect to do that as early as possible to get it out of the way. I used to struggle with the Sanchez challenge which involves driving through red, yellow and green coronas for a high score, but again I got used to that fairly quickly. I also dislike the NRG/BMX challenges, and the Bloodring event. They can be a challenge for me. I've never been good at those. The BMX challenge got a bit easier when I learned about the super bunny hop technique though. 4nsmiley
Jack Lupino
Beat the Cock was impossible for me to beat as others swim too fast than cj. I had to use a cheating technique. Some races were pain in the ass like Kart races and that sports car with sh*ttiest handling in LS
Hmmm nice bike
Supply Lines. There's a reason that Zero's missions aren't required for story completion. Evil empire and Wingate167

Wingate167
Exports and the last half of the Trucking missions, I hated doing the last Trucking missions, freaking Enforcers kept knocking the cargo off. Quarry missions were a pain in the ass at times. Horseshoes were annoying to do especially since you need the Jetpack and it's weird controlling that. ROCKSTAR MANIC
Exports, just because I have to go across the whole map just to find a car. Its just an OCD to do 100% completion, I dont feel complete if I dont do it.
Lioshenka
Flight School. Took me forever to pass, and then there was Stowaway. It took me a long time to realise that my 450Mhz Celeron simply isn't capable of running this mission. Andromada is moved by a script, and Carl's acceleration is affected by a severe sandstorm and inability of my computer to move him fast enough to catch up with the plane. The rest was more or less easy. Very diverse, very enjoyable missions. Loved the oyster collection, I would turn my volume to the maximum and start swimming, listening to the ambient sounds of the nature.
ArmyRaidFail404
f*ck the Mount Chilliad Challenge. It may not be the hardest but by god is it a major pain in the arse. First off, you gotta haul CJ up to the top (tedious when you don't have ready access to a helicopter), then you gotta fight to stay in first place while mashing the W key like a crazy motherclucker (remember that your opponents have Insta bike sprint for some reason) while slowing down to a near halt at those dreaded hairpin turns, and make sure you don't get caught behind the barrier of otherwise you gotta turn your arse around and spend an extra 5 seconds doing it right because jumping down will only make you miss the next checkpoint and that's not worth the trouble. Make sure you don't fall off the mountain, make sure you don't get pitted by anyone causing you to spin wildly out of control, make sure you follow this thin f*cking track all the way down, make sure you mash your A and D keys till they BREAK, make sure you keep this ridiculous top speed that's hard to control and accelerate to while you're going downhill.....etc etc. Oh and if you fail, you gotta get your arse back up the mountain, and you do, and then you realise it's not the right f*cking time to do the mission, now you gotta go back down, which means you'll need to come back up! Just f*ck this mission, man! This is the reason I never got 100%. I just could not f*cking deal with it. Whenever people say Wrong Side of The Tracks is hard, I show them this. ---------- Anyways the hardest part about my 99% completion was the Vigilante missions. I wasted over 5000 rounds of SMG ammo doing it and got a 4 star rating, meaning a helicopter was constantly trying to shoot me and cops were trying to ram me off the road. The worst part is I had to do it on a bike so I could shoot forward, since apparently looking anywhere but your front just immediately spawns a car in front of you. Evil empire
Many moments left me horrible memories hence the fact I still didn't start a new party since I completed the game 8 years ago, these crappy garbage rubbish junk Freefall and Supply lines pieces of $hit missions being the worst ones. oClucker
Interestingly enough I didn't have very much trouble completing the chilliad challenge. It wasn't a breeze by any means, but just keep your momentum best you can around the turns while trying not to get knocked off the mountain then power past the AI in the straights. What I did have the most trouble with was probably the BMX challenge. Specifically trying to get that one ring on the half pipe platform. Could not for the life of me figure out how to get CJ to bunny hop up there. Eventually landed on the corner of the ramp and shimmied the rest of the way up. I also hated the blood bowl stadium event. Trying to collect the checkpoints while everyone else is running into you, AND while other npcs are trying to collect them too was so frustrating! Super Shizuku
I remember the shotgun section in shooting range challenge used to frustrating me a lot. gts.
Beat the Cock isn't required for 100%. I don't care. I just wanted the game with nothing left to do after everything, that's 100% completion.
Tommy Dickfingers
I've only ever completed 100% once, after that I vowed "Never again" as it was such a time consuming ball-ache. So many side missions were quite difficult; 8-track, BMX Challenge, Chiliad Challenge, Ammu-Nation shooting range, the quarry missions & the last trucking mission. Then you have the import/export list, it's not difficult, it just takes ages. The hardest game to achieve 100% in my opinion.
Gian_Yagami
I've once to try completing 100%. But I am stopped at oyster because finding them is hard and deadly (san fierro is the deepest fault) and I think beat storyline is fun enough for me. Also truck mission makes me tired. Little Bear
I would like to say the Paramedic missions were the hardest on the game, trying to complete the levels was kind of easy but I really hated when I was so close and then the Ambulance would flip and blow up, it was really annoying for me. Rhoda
I would like to say the Paramedic missions were the hardest on the game, trying to complete the levels was kind of easy but I really hated when I was so close and then the Ambulance would flip and blow up, it was really annoying for me. I used to dread the paramedic/fire missions. For the fire missions, do them right at the start of the game. As you leave the cemetery for the Grove, look for the fire truck. You'll go through the skate park usually, but go around the right hand side instead and look for the fire truck. If it's there, snag it and take it with you to the end of the mission. After passing, go to the beach area just east of Ganton. Start the fire fighter missions there and you should be fairly lucky with traffic spawns. Occasionally you'll end up in the countryside but the game won't take you much further than that. As for paramedic, go to Montgomery and do it there. There's a hospital and an ambulance waiting for you. Knock the doors off with any melee weapon so your patients can get in and out quickly. It might not feel like it, but this extra time saved will make the entire slog less painful. The tedious part here is the back-and-forth driving you'll do. Obviously you'll be making a minimum of four full trips by the time you hit level 12, but often the patients will be grouped together in clusters of three or four. It's helpful to get these two out of the way early on, though vigilante is best left until you have decent firepower and a sturdier vehicle. That is, if you don't cheat/glitch your way through it. Shogun Pacino
The stupid f*cking taxi mission, worst hour of my life i did the taxi missions using Crazy Trainer, it automaticly gives you 49 taxi fares and you have to do just one. I'd also say Fire-fighter missions, Plus Crazy Trainer dosen't even have that so it's easy I wish Supply Lines was removed and replaced with Tanked Up Train missions, i bet i will finish listening 5 albums while trying to make it. Beat the cock was easy - i just used spawn vortex cheat and i drive it carefully so i won't kill anybody. ArmyRaidFail404
Beat the Cock is really easy. I liked that it isn't made obvious into the game, until you figure it out yourself. I didn't realise about the race even existed in the game on release until someone talked about it. @topic - NRG 500 challenge. Still quite a challenge to complete. The only reason I know what Beat The Cock is because I saw it on a poster in a gym. I didn't think it was real until I actually went there
lol232
To almost everyone in the thread: I think you're mixing up "time consuming" and "difficult" here. I'd say Paramedic missions, and they're not that hard either. I usually do them first with burglary afterwards because infinite sprint is a valuable asset. BowlingMaster
It was not so hard to get 100%. But if I had to pick one side activity, it would be the trucking missions or the airplane races (Barnstorming and Military Service). As for tedious and just plain boring, Freight Train, Import/Export and Valet Parking are strong contenders for me. Ballas King
