Jack Lupino
Hi friends I am building my gaming pc within next few months to play GTA 5.I wanted to know that what is the spec required to run this game at ultra high graphics without lagging. And please tell me if the following specs are enough to run this game: CPU - Intel Pentium G4560 Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-B250M-D2V RAM - 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM PSU - Antec VP550P HDD - WD Blue 1TB GPU - Zotac GTX 1050Ti Mini 4GB My total budget is INR 35000 (around 550$)
yoječ
You might experience some stuttering due to a dual core CPU. A quad core would be preferable. Other than that you should be fine. Jack Lupino
Andreaz1
I also don't trust a 1050 Ti to deliver absolutely smooth gameplay if you max out the game. It only manages ~50fps and that's with a much better CPU.
yoječ
It probably won't be enough for the ultra settings, but the question was if it was "enough to run the game", and the answer is yes. Even on my GTX660 2GB the performance was satisfactory (@ 2560x1080 on medium details).
Jimmy
I've a 1050Ti Mini 4GB variant and it's not enough to run the game at max settings. I would also suggest getting a Quad Core CPU as G4560 being a dual core won't be efficient. It's good enough for getting somewhat 35 to 40FPS though. I wanna make sure you haven't made a typo somewhere as that sounds too good to be true. HalfOfAKebab

I suspect his idea of "satisfactory" might differ from that of other people, but it's such a subjective term.Capped, stutter-free 30fps at 2560x1080 medium settings and no AA might well be achievable on a GTX660 and some people would doubtless see that as satisfactory. I don't think I'd be one of them though. yoječ
Yeah, haven't played this game in a while, but the FPS varied in the 30-60 range on medium settings with AA off, IIRC (at least in singleplayer, I haven't played GTA:O). I don't mind that, honestly it's much better than I expected, GTA4 ran far worse and looked far worse. Edited January 2, 2018 by yojc
DEALUX
GTA IV PC port is a steaming pile of crap. I think they might have f*cked it up even more with the impromptu patch they made last year. HaRdSTyLe_83
OP didn't specified the resolution nor the FPS that he wants to run the game at, and while he did say Ultra in the first post, on the title he only mentioned High settings. since he comes from consoles it can be a bit confusing thinking about settings. i wouldn't go with a dual core or a 2GB GPU in these days, but with that budget i guess it's kind of hard to do any better anyway Edited January 2, 2018 by HaRdSTyLe_83
jpm1
from personal experience i know that in GTAV CPU is at least as important as GPU. if you have medium CPU and GPU, and you're asking yourself which one you should go for. i'd definitely say CPU
