I wanted to play through the game, and when I get to the intro I'm faced with this:

I do need to use the Silent Patch, but that thing is annoying.

I already tried using MixSets, and while all its other settings seem to work, setting the following options to 1
doesn't make any difference in the game:

SunBlockedByVehicles

SunBlockedByPeds

SunBlockedByObjects


Even if I set only either one of them, or all together to 1, nothing changes.

Some people suggested to add yet another big mod SkyGFX just to change this one problem.
(Not to mention I don't need anything else provided with SkyGFX)
I really would rather avoid adding more and more of such big mods, to avoid them conflicting with Silent Patch and MixSets.

What I'd really love is a simple cleo or asi script that would fix this issue, even with Silent Patch being used.

I have Silent Patch, MixSets and SkyGfx installed with no problems (sun is blocked by peds, vehicles and objects by changing the values in MixSets.ini). I haven't tried without SkyGfx though. The authors of such big mods communicate with each other so they are compatible. If anything but installing SkyGfx fails, don't worry. You can configure SkyGfx so it does absolutely nothing. But, it's such a great mod, and really a must.

Alright.

How does SkyGfx impact  FPS if I only set it to change this effect?

My computer isn't modern and I can have GTA SA running smoothly on Low settings only (because of the stencil shadows, as i found out).

Also, does it substitute the settings of "timecyc.dat" ?
Because I had to manually change mine to get rid of two issues: red sky glitch during storms in some places,
and a "stacking separate surfaces of fog" weird visual glitch that my game has on my AMD graphics card (I turned off that part of the fog).

They do NOT work during the introductory cutscene of GTA SA.

And I only ever tested them during that cutscene,

because I thought since it was rendered by the game's engine, that it would be a fast way to test if it works or not.

Perhaps it's technically impossible to affect that thing during the intro.

Also, I don't know yet if it's applied in any other cutscenes.

What I do know, is that during the gameplay itself it does apply.

Tried on a clean game with only MixSets installed? I'm too bored to try it myself...

That's a thing, on clean game there's no such a thing happening during the intro cutscene, so there's nothing to fix there.

But if you use SilentPatch, then MixSets properly overrides that "fix" applied by SilentPatch, but only during gameplay, but not during the introductory cutscene (maybe not even during any other cutscene, but that one is the easiest to check).

Ah yes, right. I tried, but I couldn't reproduce the issue.

Hmm.

Did you have with Silent Patch ONLY on a game without mods, this sun visible through a man and a car like on this picture?

If yes, then maybe that's some very specific settings combination.

Or, maybe your game isn't GTA SA v1.0 Euro + NoCD
(Mine also isn't a downgrade, but real v1.0 Eu)

Well, if you can't reproduce this issue, could you upload somewhere (mediafire or google drive would do) your mixsets with settings file and silentpatch with settings file?

Because, it could be not just a specific settings combination, but also you could use not the most recent files I downloaded for both asi files which could introduce this issue.

Well, it could also turn out to be the incompatibility with my old AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card.
(As for the drivers, I'm using the most recent among those that do work without issues with my card for all the games. I can't just use modern drivers with it. I get a lot of issues either with games or my system, and it's a known fact anyways, that old graphics card + modern drivers is usually a bad mix)

I have tons of mods installed, including SkyGfx, Silent Patch, MixSets, Widescreen Fix, Black Roads Fix, Skygrad, Real Traffic Fix, 2dfx...

Then the test doesn't really mean anything.

I simply reported my observation anyways: MixSets by itself, when set to fix these sun issues, fixes them during gameplay, with SilentPatch present, but it doesn't do anything for the cutscenes.

I doubt the author of MixSets would do anything for this, since it's a minor thing. So doesn't even matter now :)

Hello, for many months I have been looking for a mod that can shrink or make the hud or radar of the gta san andreas rounder, since by default the one I have is very oval and I want the radar to be rounder, other than the widescreen, I don't want that one I would like another to achieve that characteristic, thank you sorry for my lexicon but I don't speak English xd

Gta 5 rocket effect for San Andreas

 

There is any mod for this feature? Can someone create it? The thing is take off that light and make a classic smoke effect like seen in gta 5 or any planes game.

Can someone make a more inmersive camera for san andreas like seen in gta 3 and vice city at beggining of this video?

The thing is make just a little closer camera to character. Also when you take a car.

I need a guy to make some good improvements which make a more realistic and enjoyable experience in San Andreas.

The thing is bring back the car acceleration from gta 3 as well as hidraulics and psychs to do 180s easily.

Also increase psychs to give a more realistic weight vibe perfectly recreated in The Getaway or Juiced games for ps2.

Bring that realistic sunshine from Driv3r roads to San Andreas. Also bright effect when you're looking to sun.

Greetings: I make conversions for NFS HighStakes, I saw THIS car (1936 Ford Sedan) in a GTA 1940's mod, I been searching EVERYWHERE for this car to no evail and it don't seem to be in the mod out for download now files.
