Nss Posted December 21, 2017 Share Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) Full Vulkan support has recently been added to ppsspp. I decided to check it out and I was pleasantly surprised. On OpenGL the game is unplayable, now I'm getting steady 30fps, barely any audio stutter. Since we're not getting VCS on mobile I'll take that as my Christmas gift. If you want to play VCS on your mobile device this year and if your device supports Vulkan API, do yourself a favor and check it out. Nss Posted December 21, 2017 Author Share Posted December 21, 2017 Check if your device supports it and just change the backend in ppsspp to Vulkan. I think you can check using Hardware CapsViewer for Vulkan app but I haven't tried it. Otherwise you can just check if it works in ppsspp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nss Posted December 21, 2017 Author Share Posted December 21, 2017 That phone's not getting nougat but there are quite a few fairly cheap devices with decent specs that run 7.0 with planned upgrade to 8.0 such as sony xperia l1, it's only 110 where I'm at or xa1/xa1 ultra, emulates VCS without an issue.
