ArmyRaidFail404
I just downloaded GTA SA on Steam. After year so playing on consoles, it feels really smooth on the PC, except for region: Willowfield. For some reason, Willowfield is the one area in the game that experiences a major dip in frame rate for some reason. A lot of the times, I have all settings turned up to max (excluding anti-aliasing), and I never go to uncomfortable levels under 30 fps. The interiors can even run up to 60fps. My laptop is relatively old, running a NVidia GeForce 600m and 4gb memory, but it can still play the game relatively well. I just want to know if anyone has gotten this problem or even has a fix. j7n
I noticed that the GPU load fluctuates a lot depending on how many shadow casting objects are on screen at the same time. Those objects that make rotating shadows that follow the sun and moon. These shadows are barely visible and look too sharp and unrealistic when I do see them, and I've turned down the effects quality to get rid of them. In LS, there are power or communication wires that cast these shadows. I recall them mostly in Idlewood though, which is in the same general area.
