You can abseil from the maverick

Since the beggining of GTAO you could sometime abseil from the merryweather helicopter but it was very situational, I found out that you can now do that from any maverick as a passenger if the helicopter is not to high. You do this by pressing and holding X/Square. I've never seen this feature so it might be a new one from the doomsday heist

EDIT - I made a stupid post, ignore this one. I was probably wrong.

Wait - you can now do this when you're a passenger even when another player is flying it?

Oh damn yeah pretty sure that is new, my bad.

That's pretty cool. Gonna have to try that tonight, lol.

This update has gotten those smaller details better this time. Just noticed today that we get momento's in our facilities from completing heists too.

This is rarely used but I think it's been possible to do it from the Maverick for quite some time. Like years. But I may be wrong!

On a similar note - this should be possible from any helicopter with side-doors imo..

Yes it might be possible to do this on the frogger and annihilator since they have the part that holds the cables on the models. But I haven't tried so you'll need to do it yourself

Only Maverick and Frogger have these rope stuff attached.

That's something new, I like it.

Yet, I won't be spending over a million on a helicopter just to check this.

You don't need to, just grab a helicopter from the airport or the heliports near the marina

I know it goes against T2's policy of late...

But it is still technically Grand Theft Auto, lol...

Peace man.

Ok, i can confirm that you can abseil from Annihilator.
This looks strange, cuz there's no rope and player goes trough the helicopter.

Obviously what we're witnessing can only be a true descendant of Kraff!

Pity the controls are disabled while someone's abseiling. Imagine if you went crazy in your heli so you'd launch the one sliding down into the sky.

What happens if the pilot is killed or the tail rotor is destroyed while another player is rappelling?

What happens if the pilot is killed or the tail rotor is destroyed while another player is rappelling?

Basically what happens when a NPC NOOSE member is rappelling down a Police Maverick and you shoot their tail rotor/kill the pilot.

Essentially the rappelling player(s) will fall to their death(s).

I can confirm this works on an Annilhilator (as pilot, a rope will spawn in the middle of the helicopter and the passenger will slide down, I assume as passenger the rope comes down the side and you slide down the side), Police Maverick (air ambulance livery included), and the normal Maverick. I believe the Frogger does not have the feature, but I may be wrong.

I bet some fun stunt videos could be made out of that, especially with other players in cars during. lol

The key word in this is some because GTA has a horrible case of having reality ensue randomly. GTA is so random about its in game logic, for example it'll usually let you off scot free with crashing through fences, but occasionally the game will stop you with a bush, or you'll land on your motorcycle and die on impact or, more commonly, ragdoll off your bike.
