Getting Busted in GTA Online

Unless I've not noticed it in the moc, back when gr came out, you can now get Busted when using the Avenger.

 

I was using the Cannons/turrets to kill endless cops. After a few minutes I was removed from the control station, presented not with a wanted or whatever strap, but one that said Busted in blue. I then respawned outside the nearest police station. I was worried about and checked my ammo, luckily we were fine there.

 

I'm not sure why they would introduce this new feature. Sure it's logical, but most changes these days add something to the agenda of the dlc etc. This is a core change, albeit a small one.

 

Similar to how the strap fonts have changed too, eg you are now ceo or you have quit ceo etc

Hydra fix to break is apart of it too.

No, in both the MOC (even before this update) and Avenger, once you reach 5 stars, you are immediately rewarded with an insta-Bust.

 

I was pretty mad, when they took me out the MOC like that, so I got my APC, went into a trolly tunnel entrance and proceeded to rain shells on every cop, of every ilk, that funneled into my death trap, for an hour straight. No insta-Bust in that bad boy. Suck it, R*.

It is only on those two vehicles and a resupply/defend mission as an MC, you don't get pulled over or anythng like, just the screen blacks out and it says "busted" on it.

Pretty strange, I just took my avenger out solo and was doing the autopilot/killing tons of cops. Hit 5 stars for a while, took back control and avoided the wanted level. Never got busted. Ive also been in the moc for a long time with friends at the 5 Star level and have never been insta-busted

I think you have to be on the ground not going anywhere to get Busted. Perhaps too it requires the cops to get close enough to the moc /Avenger?

Funny, as I was sitting in my MOC trailer, positioned where no cop could reach the back of it and I was Busted at 5 stars. The OP says he got busted in his Avenger, in relatively the same way. Call it "bs", if you want, you're wrong, but go ahead. If there's specific circumstances that strictly relate to it, it's yet to be discovered, but the fact that it does happen is the furthest thing from "bs".

Tested, results varied.

 

OK, So I have a screenshot in my library dated June 14th in the MOC outside YouTool near Grapeseed, when I first tested the MOC turret - 5 stars, never got busted. Escaped that Wanted Level.

I have tested Avenger too, but always in-flight (isn't that the point?), 5 stars maintained for 5 minutes or more. When it is destroyed, I spawned on the ground on foot with my 5 stars to escape.

So I decided to test again.

 

MOC on Grapeseed Main Street, 5 stars for 5 minutes until MOC destroyed, got into a nearby Sandking and was eventually wasted at McKenzie Field Hangar.

 

Avenger on Route 68 parked at the interchange with the freeway near Davis Quartz. 5 stars for approximately 2 minutes before the Avenger was destroyed and I got the Busted event for the first and only time.

 

MOC on Route 1 just south of Braddock Pass tunnel, hit it with a few Buzzard rockets before I got in to start havock, just to weaken it an get it destroyed quicker. 5 Stars for about 90 seconds before MOC destroyed and I spawned on the road in front of my cop swarm and got wasted.

 

So yeah, I can see there IS some sort of event trigger/bug that can get you busted in GTA Online. But NO, it is NOT "insta-bust at 5 stars in an MOC or Avenger parked on the ground" as you claimed.

It still doesn't do it in a normal car.

 

I could be sitting in a car unarmed with a one star wanted level after getting in traffic collision with a cop...

 

And that cop would get out and shoot me dead.

gta online and sp are not the same...there is so much happening online....

 

why is this always hard to get

 

police in online are to kill you....when you are in a near indestructible vehicle like an MOC or avenger not moving then it makes sense you would get busted...seeing as the cannot kill you, of you camp. even with full snack and full amour you will eventually die...if you are on the move, they can spawn and de-spawn police...(an issue which is not a problem in sp, but you also die much easier)

 

But if you are in an MOC or avenger (not moving) you are causing too much police to keep spawning that will not kill you...this is an issue online as 30/15 other players may also have wanted levels, not just you alone in SP

 

it would also act as a teleport glitch if you did for 1 star, they dont arrest you online then put you in the car and drive you to the station, it cuts to the station and all is reset.

 

 

people online are so quick to criticize without thinking sometimes..it makes perfect sense why you don't get busted online...
