Mobile Missions much harder

For those that haven't noticed, it seems that Rockstar has made the Mobile Missions much more difficult with the addition of the Valkyrie chopper with explosive ammo, thus killing you within a few a shots.....I noticed them in Half Track Bully and Work Dispute missions. The Oppressor's missles have been nerfed in power.

 

Crap like this when they update, really sucks. I only managed to play 3 of the Mobile Missions and been tunred off by them with the uped difficulty of the Valkyrie. Please, feel free to comment.

Me neither.

 

Also there were no changes to the valkyrie nor the oppressor, the only balance change was the explosive ammo and special ammo overall.

They mean the enemy NPC Valk in the Special Vehicle Missions, not the player version. Lots of things seem slightly different or harder, lot's of tiny changes in this DLC.

I don't know what Mobile Missions are

 

Missions you start from mobile operations center. If I remember correctly they are called mobile operations.

Noticed that the NPC Valkyries seem to be using the explosive cannon as well, as in a couple missions my friends told me they were instantly killed on foot when the Valkyrie got close enough instead of being shredded by the door guns.

 

Will need to try playing some free mode work where Valkyries spawn to see if this is just a mission change or is across the board.

It's across the board it seems, there is a resupply mission where you need to steal an APC, explosive aimbot cannons (because AI never miss) constantly firing ect.. relatively easy to get round for the supply run you could just go in with a weaponised helicopter & sneak up on it, however the MoC mission you mentioned seems to be broken as a result of this not sure if they made this change by accident, it would be interesting to know whether the devs play tested it (without godmode) first :/

 

Things like this cease to be fun if there are AIs spawn killing you :/

Well they were never overly difficult, but they weren't absurdly easy either... it was fairly balanced.. dirty word with R* I know, but now it seems to be unplayable... going to have another go at it & see if I can find a way round it.. but it will probably involve coming away from the docks & returning which will kind of ruin the continuity seeing as you're dropped into it to hit the ground running... rather than land in it retreat & come back :/

I don't like damage and accuracy modifiers for pedestrians using little guns. But NPC aircrafts using all their weapons is normal, Buzzard in On Manoeuver and Savage in Convoy setup use both gun and missiles since forever.

 

Is there an angle modifier for NPC Valkyrie cannon? IIRC during some crate mission the Valkyrie was able to aim with the miniguns even when you fly above it.

They don´t have restrictions, a buzzard for example can shoot with his minigun straight down or straight up. Which looks absolutly retarded by the way.

it does have an explosive gun in the front passenger seat lol

 

also there was one mission i revisited where you have to pick up the oppressors, i tried calling my mechanic for my apc and it was missing from my greenwich parkway garage along with the other special vehicles. before i was able to use them in these moc missions but now r* disabled them

Well that sounds like an actual nerf, because they want you to use the opressors for that mission... in the final mission the Opressors are pretty much useless against the explosive cannons on the aimbot Valks... I would say they made it possible for NPCs to use the valks explosive cannon with the intention of making one of the doomsday missions more challenging but didn't know or think it would break other missions :/

 

Someone on twitter suggested stealth... not really sure how you could use stealth as you're dropped into the area on flying motorbikes & the enemies spot you instantly :/ clearly this individual hasn't played that mission, it was suppose to be a dive in & blow sh*t up type mission.. to promote the Opressor

i think all those missions are nerfed to the point that you cant use those aforementioned vehicles in them

i think all those missions are nerfed to the point that you cant use those aforementioned vehicles in them

 

But the mission requires you to use the Opressor, the mission provides them :/

nah i meant the other moc missions that doesnt allow you to call an apc, oppressor, half track, etc. from your garage man :/

I think that has always been the case.. not being able to call in a personal MoC... I think they were also blacklisted in heists from day one too.. as far as I know the only missions that allow those kinds of vehicles are the contact ones, as for the NPCs using explosive cannons on the valkyrie, I'm thinking it was something that was intended to only be added for one of the doomsday heist missions, the one with the missile launcher.. but R* being R* instead of creating a scripted event where the NPCs used the cannons in that specific situation, they opted for the easier option of just enabling ALL NPCs that take the passenger seatof the valk.. hell I wouldn't be surprised if a friendly player left the session while their character was in a valk they would suddenly start spamming the cannons too.. given how hostile abandoned avatars can become :lol: ...

 

I urge someone to try that mission 'work dispute' with the difficulty set to hard & see what happens

nah its hasnt been always the case. i was able to call in my half track during that mission in the underground tunnels before r* blacklisted them.

 

its the heists that you cant use the apc and the oppressor in since day 1 but you could use others like the weaponized tampa, insurgent pick up, half track, etc.

I was a victim of this today was doing half track bully, my randumb partner apprently forgot how to read or follow Gps and i proceded to die twice because of the valkyrie, good times

I noticed that the valk has explosive cannons being used in that mission too... but as long as you take the dirt road to the right (as agent-14 tells you to lol) you won't get blown up.. however there is rather a lot of damage dealt, which again is not a good promo to get people to buy the half track as the mission was intended, which still tells me that it wasn't an intentional change, shark card sales?? I don't think so.. because if the buffed scripted version nigh on gets blown up by a vehicle that was released in an update from 2015... how the hell would they expect people to buy it (the half track) after that.. So with that in mind I don't put it down to some ploy to make money on sharks.. I put it down to sloppiness on their part!

Again likely by accident because some cases will result in the APC getting severly damaged by the valk.. before the merryweather have even been removed from it.. the APC passenger is also using the turret, which we all know how trigger happy the AI can be.. so if you happen to be near a wall when they blow you up.. they'll likely blow themselves up, the Chernoborg mission in doomsday the valk use the cannon, but the difference being it is fairly balanced in this case, if only they had taken the time to add it for just that one mission, instead of using a generic one size fits all code edit for everycase where the passenger use the cannon.

So this is where all those explosion during that mission came from, I was confuse why all of a sudden something bombard me out of nowhere,...I thought it was the APC's cannon... :lol:

This also applies to the valkyries you encounter during crate sales. Luckily the cuban 800 provided for the sale can tank some shots.
