Doomsday Heist Walkthrough and Rewards

Recommended Posts

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Thought I'd make this walkthrough since I did the one for the original 5 heists. Not sure if it belongs in this subforum or not so I'll just leave it up to the mods to decide if it needs to be moved to the Guides and Strategies subforum or if it can stay here for the meantime.

As always, there will be spoilers.

Notes:

- Colors for the different types of missions/rewards/challenges are as follows: Acts, Preps, Setups and Finales, Rewards and Elite Challenges.

- You will need to purchase a facility to host the Doomsday Heist.

- Heist setups and the finales are doable with 2-4 players (normal heist mechanics apply so you only have 0-2 team lives depending on the difficulty).

- Freemode preps are doable with just 1 person, but may be a bit more difficult or inconvenient for just 1 person to do. To make trips faster, be sure to take advantage of the CEO Buzzard or any helicopters/planes/jets that you own. Cargobobs are also usable to transport required vehicles faster.

- The rewards/unlocks (trade prices for the Warstock vehicles) only unlock for the host of the heist, contrary to the mechanics of the original 5 heists where everyone who took part in the mission got the rewards/unlocks.

- After completing certain heists, trophies will pop up in your facility. Some of them are: a trophy of an underwater mine, a plaque of valor from the IAA and a model of the Russian submarine in a glass case. Apart from those trophies, you'll also notice agents (probably IAA) occupying your facility after Act 2.

Act 1 (THE DATA BREACHES): Setup cost for host: $65,000.

1st Prep (PARAMEDIC EQUIPMENT): Fairly simple one where you go steal an ambulance from a random spawn around the map and deliver it back to your facility.

Reddit strategy: You can call 911 to request an ambulance to make it this prep a lot quicker.

1st Setup (DEAD COURIER):

Paramedic - Take ambulance to LS Coronary and head in. Once inside, make your way to the Cold Storage and search the 3 bodies. After finding that none of them have the USB stick you’re looking for, head upstairs to download the files. There will be several guards there that (I’m assuming) you need to kill because the area’s supposed to be off limits and they become hostile. After downloading the files, fight your way out of the building and meet up with the helicopter pilot to make your escape.

Helicopter Pilot - Steal Savage and bring it to LS Coronary. Wait for the Paramedic to finish his job and then escape.

MISSION COMPLETE.

2nd Prep (DELUXOS): Steal 4 Deluxos from a house (different spawns, but usually near the Eclipse Towers area). The house has a number of guards that you need to kill, and the last guard killed drops the key that’ll open the garage. Once you spawn inside, there will be another 3 enemies inside (2 with guns and one that will charge you as soon as you spawn). After killing them, get in a Deluxo and take it to LSC to respray it (color is up to you and all paint jobs are free, plate will also automatically change to a random one as soon as you spawn outside. Simply deliver the car to the facility and the prep will be completed once all 4 are delivered.

Doable with 1 player, but recommended to have at least 2 people unless you’re fine with going back and forth 4 times in a public lobby.

2nd Setup (SIGNAL INTERCEPTS): In this mission, you’ll be tasked to hack a number of vehicles around the city. The first 4 vehicles will be black trucks/Blockades (I think) with gunners in the back. The driver cannot shot so it’s advisable to hack from the front in order to not get shot and subsequently die. After hacking each vehicle, you’ll need to destroy them. After all 4 trucks have been hacked, you’ll be hacking 4 boats using the Deluxo’s hover feature (2 are in the Del Perro area and the other 2 are in the docks area). The boats are slightly harder due to you having less cover, but there’s only 1 gunner per boat anyway. Once all 4 boats are hacked and destroyed, make your way to the airport. There, you’ll be hacking a cargo plane using the hover + flying feature of the Deluxe. It’ll take a while to hack the cargo plane so it’s best to have just 1 person in the yellow circle to hack while the other destroy any NPC helicopters that follow. After the hack is complete, destroy the cargo plane and fly to the checkpoint. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Deluxo.

3rd Prep (AKULA): Go to Fort Zancudo's control tower to download the location for the Akula. There is an elevator to the right of the stairs which actually works and is a 100 times better than taking the stairs so be sure to take that to save time. Once you've downloaded the location of the Akula, you will need to fight a number of guards guarding the exit to the tower. Afterwards, just head on over to the Akula. It's also guarded by about 5 guards that you need to kill before taking it back to the facility.

3rd Setup (SERVER FARM): This is a stealth mission, but the mechanics have been greatly improved to allow more room for error unlike the Deliver EMP setup before. You’ll take the Akula and, using the stealth mode on it, fly to the FIB complex (I think it’s FIB) and land on the roof. Once there, decent down a couple of ladder and make your way to the checkpoint to kill the head of security and take his key card. Afterwards, move around to the side of the building to enter the complex and take the elevator down to the server room. Once there, it’ll get a little bit tougher as you have navigate your way around the server room (which is actually pretty massive) and hack 4 servers, while also stealthily killing guards that are patrolling the area (**note that the minimal doesn’t scale well in the area so it’s difficult to pinpoint guard locations until you’re very close to them**). The hacking style is a new one, but is basically just matching wires and hoping you get it right. If you got it right, it won’t reset that particular wire and you only need to worry about correct any wrong connections you made. After about 3 hacks have been made, NOOSE will start spawning in the area so you’ll need to fight your way to the elevator to make your escape. The finale will be to fight police outside the facility and make your way back to the Akula, and fly to Sandy Shores Airfield. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Akula.

Heist (THE DATA BREACHES): Go to the secret IAA facility underneath the satellite farm near the Sandy Shores Airfield. The facility itself looks a lot like the facilities that can be owned by the player, in which you’ll fight through to the bottom-most level, killing enemies along the way. Afterwards, you’ll be tasked to head upstairs to the war room and man the turrets, where you kill enemies outside until a cutscene starts, revealing information about the heist, the second act and meeting the other NPC’s vital in the story of the heist. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Nothing. (?)

Elite Challenges:

Complete in 5:30 minutes

78 kills

No deaths

ACT 2 (THE BOGDAN PROBLEM): Setup cost for host: $95,000.

1st Prep (KEYCARDS): Steal a Riot Van from a gas station in Del Perro area and bring it back to your facility.

1st Setup (AVENGER): Go to a hangar in LSIA housing the Avenger. When you enter and approach the plane, the lights will go out and you'll be ambushed by Merryweather personnel. You'll be using your night vision goggles to be able to see and kill them. The enemies will come from the ground floor, second floor and ceiling area so you need to be mindful of that. For a bit, they will spawn indefinitely until Lester finds the backup generators. Once he does, you'll climb stairs to the top of the hangar and fight your way to the other side to turn the backup generators on. Afterwards, you'll take the Avenger and bring it to Paleto Bay to complete the mission. You'll be tasked to fly low to avoid being spotted and locked on by the enemies. I believe altitude is relative to the ground underneath the plane as the purple box on my minimap that shows my altitude kept bouncing up and down. MISSION COMPLETE.

2nd Prep (ULP INTEL): Kill 4 drug dealers around LS to get the location to an apartment where you'll steal a duffel bag containing information about where Agent ULP is. Once you enter the apartment, there will be a number of enemies and if you die, spawn back outside the apartment, which is really inconvenient because the loading time is so long. Once you have the duffel bag, return to your facility.

2nd Setup (RESCUE ULP):

Ground Team - Go to the foundry and kill the guards outside before making your way in. Once inside, just follow Lester's directions to ULP while killing any enemies along the way. After finding ULP, you'll leave the way you came in and there will be a Nightshark outside for you to use to get to McKenzie Airfield.

Lookout Team - The lookout team's main objective is to kill any NPC that's outside and just try not to die. Once the ground team is outside, meet up with them and make your way to McKenzie Airfield.

MISSION COMPLETE.

3rd Prep (RIOT CONTORL VAN): Go to the marked area and throw tear gas to start a riot with the pedestrians there. After a minute, the RCV will show up for you to steal and bring back to your facility.

3rd Setup (SALVAGE HARD DRIVES): This setup is fairly similar to the Trash Truck setup for the Series A heist in that there are 2 teams; operators and collectors. However, instead of the operators protecting the collectors as they pick up the trash, it's better for the collectors in this setup to do most of the killing as the operators need to extinguish the fires quickly or else the files will burn. Contrary to what Lester says, the RCV actually sucks at going through roadblocks so if you can avoid it,

In this setup, you'll be using the RCV and going to 4 places to extinguish fires (operators job) and then collecting files from extinguished vans (collectors job). I highly recommend only having 1 operator in the RCV to go to the vehicle to extinguish fires while the other operator and collectors go on foot to kill any enemies near a particular van. Once you've gotten all the files, bring them to the marker in La Puerta to complete the setup. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the RCV.

4th Prep a.) (STROMBERGS): Wastelanders will be marked on your map for you to check to see if damaged Stormbergs are on them. Some will have random cars like Elegy Retro Customs while 4 will have Stormbergs. Once you've found a Wastelander carrying a Stormberg, take it back to your facility. The prep will be completed once all 4 Stormbergs have been delivered.

4th Prep b.) (TORPEDO ECU): In this prep, you will make your way to Elysian Island to take Seasharks to an off-shore rig to steal 2 torpedoes ECUs. I recommend killing all the enemies on the rig by sniping from shore before taking the Seasharks to it. Otherwise, it'll be difficult to kill the enemies and you'll be stuck in an endless loop of respawning on Seasharks and getting shot to death before you can even get on the rig. After you've picked up the ECUs, there's a Frogger that you can take to get back to your facility quickly.

4th Setup (SUBMARINE RECON): Take the Strombergs to the Great Ocean Highway where you'll destroy a convoy of Insurgent Pickups, Dunes and Buzzards. Once you've destroyed all the vehicles in the convoy, the team will be separated into 2 teams to search an area and destroy the mines using the submersible variation of the Stromberg. There are 2 areas with 10 mines each. After destroying the mines, you'll need to scan the sub in three areas to search for an airlock/entrance. The scanning mechanics works the same as hack so you just need to stay in the yellow circle on the minimap to continue scanning. Once you're finished scanning the subs, bring the Strombergs to the drop off at the Ammunation in Paleto Bay. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Stromberg.

Heist (THE BOGDAN PROBLEM): There are two teams in this heist, which is pretty similar in design to the Humane Labs Raid; air team (in an Avenger) and water team (in a Stromberg).

Water Team - Make your way to Paleto Bay to the Stromberg and head to the Russian submarine. Once you're close, a cutscene will play showing you parking the Stromberg on the submarine and entering through an airlock. After the cutscene plays, you'll be inside the submarine and must fight your way to the informant a few levels below. The interior of the submarine is very tight so shotguns are recommended for killing enemies quickly. When you meet with the informant, you have to interrogate him to get information before heading to the bridge. At the bridge, you'll take a photo of the documents/files on the table with your phone and then plug Clifford into the console. Afterwards, another cutscene will play, this time, it will reveal Captain Bogdan and will show him telling you that Avon and Clifford are actually evil. This is interrupted by Avon confirming it on the intercom and then setting the submarine to self-destruct. Bogdan will give you scuba gear to exit the sub and you'll spawn outside after the cutscene ends. You'll then need to meet up with the rest of the team on the Avenger. (**Note that there will be a number of enemies (Avon's military**) that are waiting at the beach and 3 helicopters that will easily kill the you as you swim to shore so it's advisable for the air team to prioritize destroying the helicopters to allow the water team to swim to shore. Once you've made it on the Avenger, head to the drop-off at LSIA to complete the mission.

Air Team - Most of the mission revolves around you killing enemies heading to the submarine, much like the air team in the Humane Labs Raid. After a while, you'll be prompted to meet up with the water team. At this point, several enemies will spawn at the beach, including 3 helicopters so you'll need to destroy them to or else your teammates will die rather quickly. If you're only 1 person on the air team, remember that the Avenger has an auto pilot mode so you can set it to VTOL and head to the back to man the turrets. Once you've collected the water team, head to the drop-off at LSIA.

MISSION COMPLETE.

Rewards: Nothing.

Elite Challenges:

Complete in under 15 minutes

5% vehicle damage or less (Avenger)

No deaths

ACT 3 (THE DOOMSDAY SCENARIO): Setup cost for host: $120,000.

1st Prep a.) (MARKED CASH): Go to LSIA to steal a black duffel bag. As soon as you pick up the bag, you gain a 3-star wanted level and police immediately spawn near you. Lose the cops and take the duffel bag back to your facility.

1st Prep b.) (RECON): Go to the Pacific Allied Shipyard and take photos of key areas marked on your minimap. You cannot land a helicopter at the main gate or else you'll get a wanted level. A time limit of 15 minutes will be given to complete the prep and, ll in all, there are 10 photos that you need to take and send to Lester. Once all 10 photos have been taken and sent, leave the area.

1st Setup (RESCUE AGENT 14): Make your way to the Merryweather docks to rescue Agent 14. There, you’ll need to fight a number of enemies before triggering a cutscene that will show you 3 juggernauts that can go invisible, which you’ll need the thermal goggles for (they spawn to the north of you). Once you’ve killed all three, another 4 will spawn to the south of you, as well as you helicopters as soon as the 4 juggernauts have died. Afterwards, you’ll need to make your way to 2 Akulas for extraction, along the way, there will be several enemies and 1 Buzzard. (**Note that there will be enemies that spawn behind you as you move on so keep an eye on the minimap to avoid dying**). At the warehouse, there will be a few more enemies in the building and around the Akulas, along with 2 juggernauts will spawn to the south. Once the 2 juggernauts are dead, another 2 will spawn to the north. Take the Akulas and fly to the checkpoint. Buzzards that will spawn to try and kill you. MISSION COMPLETE.

2nd Prep (CHERNOBOG): Head over to the Paleto Bay beach area where Merryweather has set up a little camp of sorts with the Chernobog. It's heavily guarded with a number of soldiers and 2 riot officers with Railguns. These riot officers have more health than normal NPCs and take about 3 shots from the Heavy Sniper Mk.2 to kill. After killing everyone, take the Chernobog back to your facility. The missiles are deactivated and therefore, unusable in the prep.

2nd Setup (ESCORT ULP): Head to the Paleto Bay Construction site to pick up the Chernobog SAM platform and 2 Ramp Buggies. There will be a number of enemies that spawn in the construction site itself and some Dubsta 6x6’s that spawn as well. Once you’ve gotten the vehicles, the rest of the mission is just following Agent ULS from Paleto to Sandy Shores. You’ll be destroying and killing Valkyries and Dubsta 6x6’s (plus roadblocks) that spawn indefinitely until you reach the safehouse (near the Zancudo facility). MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Chernobog.

3rd Prep (FLIGHT PATH): Go to the marked area on the map (forgot what the name used was, but it's the building beside the Richards Majestic apartment). Lester will send a photo of the what the target looks like, but game will mark him on the map anyway. He'll exit the building and move around the back where there's less pedestrians, which is where you need to kill him. Doing this stealthily is the best way as it just generally makes it easier without the involvement of cops and hostile NPCs, but spooking him will NOT fail the prep. If spooked, he will run away and you'll receive a 1-star wanted level, as well as having hostile NPCs show up. After killing him, take the briefcase back to your facility.

3rd Setup (BARRAGE): Go to the Observatory and wait for the helicopter convoy (you’ll be given a Heavy Sniper Mk.2 with explosive ammo for this mission). It consists of 4 Valkyries and a Cargobob airlifting the Barrage. Destroy the Valkyries and the Cargobo, which will drop the Barrage around the area where you destroy it. The Barrage can hold 4 people; 2 in the front and 2 on the mounted guns (one machine gun on the front and one grenade launcher on the back). Use that to go to Sandy Shores whilst being chased by Dubsta 6x6’s, an occasional Valkyrie and a few roadblocks along the way. Once there, you’ll need to destroy a Bombushka that’s about to take off, along with a number of other enemies. It’s advised that you park the Barrage somewhere close that’s not at a range where enemies can hit you consistently so the gunners can do their job while the driver and passenger can help snipe the enemies. Afterwards, drive the Barrage to the safehouse in Grapeseed (there will be enemies still chasing you on the way). MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Barrage.

4th Prep (TEST SITE INTEL): Head over to a house Procopio Drive in Paleto Bay. Once there, there are 3 guards patrolling the outside of the house, which may be dealt with stealthily or not (which will give you an immediate 3-star wanted level). After killing all 3 guards outside, head into the house. There will 5 enemies in the house that you have to kill and, weirdly enough, some enemies aren't agro-ed when you enter the house (I had only 4 red dots pop up on the map and one guy was just standing idle in the living room). After all enemies are dead, find the lockbox containing the laptop, which is the green box/cache in the living room beside the coffee table. Take the laptop back to your facility. (**Note that Dubsta 6x6's will indefinitely spawn in groups of 2 to try and kill you on your way to your facility**). Calling Lester to remove the 3-star wanted level while inside the house does nothing.

4th Setup (KHANJALI): Drive to the aircraft junkyard in Sandy Shore to destroy Insurgent Pickups, AA trailers and a Barracks, and also killing any enemies in the area to get to the Khanjali tank. The tank can hold 4 players; driver, railgun operator, machine gun operator and grenade launcher operator, which you’ll use to kill any enemies that spawn on your way to Zancudo (Hunters and Dubsta 6x6’s will spawn). MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Khanjali.

5th Prep (ONBOARD COMPUTER): *Locked until every prep and setup prior was completed.* Down a jet and retrieve the module from the crash site. (**Note that you cannot lock on to the jet**). This mission was a bit glitchy when I did it as I downed the jet over the Alamo Sea and Lester said to dive down and retrieve the module, but the mission icon was on the freeway.

5th Setup (AIR DEFENSES): Go to Sandy Shores Airfield to pickup the Volatol and fly to Mount Chilliad to destroy a bunch of SAM towers/batteries using the Volatol’s weapons (2 turrets - top and bottom - and carpet bombs). The hitboxes and overall damage of the turrets seem to be pretty generous as it takes only a few shots to down an enemy Buzzard and Molotok (which will all be chasing you), as well as a few shots to destroy a tower, especially since the turrets are really wonky and only fire at certain angles. Once you’ve destroyed all the towers, fly back to Sandy Shores. MISSION COMPLETE.

Reward: Trade price for the Volatol.

Heist (THE DOOMSDAY SCENARIO):

*Currently bugged and the game will give you an error when starting.*

2nd setup is a deluxo hack similar to the rocket voltic mission. Hack and destroy four vans, boats, and planes.

And you just get trade prices for the akula and deluxo, like you mentioned.

So the preps are in free mode and the setups are in separate heist lobbies?

Correct. Should add that the preps can only be done in public lobbies.

When you say "free mode preps are doable by one player", it means it's soloable if your partner is an idiot or you can actually start if you are alone in your lobby ?

Hopefully the preps only need to be done once and count as done for all heist reruns afterwards. I can not be doing with free mode every time I want to do the heist.

I guess the usual sensible things to do will still be worth doing, like wearing heavy heist armor stocking up on snacks, bullet proof vests etc.

This is pure speculation at the moment but when I manage to get in game I will be running through it all with a group of seasoned heisters so will be able to contribute with more then :)

It may also be worth mentioning the property you need to buy to start the heists as well.

I seriously doubt that since the preps seem they are organized on the Air Freight and Gunrunning platform formula, meaning other players are allowed to destroy or steal your supplies...etc..

Im just curious on the total payout at the end. This heist seems big and just want to be sure were paid for the time put in or I might only do it once which I hope is not the case.

Unlikely, as there's an option to buy the preps

the prep mission where you collect 4 deloreans can be done solo . if you only collect 1 , 2 or 3 cars let timer run out and then you can collect the last car next time you restart that prep mission, you dont have to collect all 4 in one go

Finished Act II, I wish the heavy utility outfit would work during setup missions, the Avenger's mission was a real pain to complete.

Act 1 finale $650,000

Act 2 finale $950,000

Act 3 finale $1,200,000

This is NOT paid to each player, like regular heist you split it with crew. You DO get first time bonus cash.

Finished Act II, I wish the heavy utility outfit would work during setup missions, the Avenger's mission was a real pain to complete.

Yeah I decided to test the heavy heist gear by RPG ing myself at the very start of one of the setups I was expecting to get launched up into the air and land again with half health like in any other heist, it is a bit weird that it does not work I am hoping it is a bug which will be rectified lol but I doubt it.

I don't know where to post this so I guess I will do it here:

I found 2 easter eggs so far:

- In second mission with Deluxos after you enter the car there always will be one blue surfer passing by. Those are Libyans from Back To The Future (

)

- As Paramedics in cold storage you can find a pizza box on the operating table

Seems like some of the prep would make more sense to skip by paying the 94k, if you just wanna get through it ASAP. I did the 4 Deluxos solo, but I could've made more than 94k doing import\export + VIP work in the amount of time it took.

Does the "buy prep equipment" fee go up in the 2nd and 3rd act?

For trade prices on vehicles. Is it whole crew unlocks price a la old heists or the sh*tty boss only version a la Special Vehicle missions

So, just use one friend and do them twice.

The Preps you can solo, and you only need one more player for the Setups

Or you can just buy the thing(s) you want and pay extra.

I like the option, at least.

When I logged on again a friend wanted help on his 1st act finale so I joined him he had a lobby of 4, it was a pain as the rest of the team were getting killed over and over while getting through the base and I was getting short on snacks because of the reruns but we finally did it but it was painful and I got to the point of thinking why bother!.

Later I decided to do mine but tried it just with 1 friend and it was so much easier I think there was less resistance and we just tanked it with the interaction menu open consuming snacks all the way and we got paid 2x as much.

I believe that the other setups would also have been easier as a pair TBH and a lot more profitable.

So my tips for the 1st act would be.

1 Just go as a duo.

2 Make sure your snacks are full.

3 Keep the interaction menu open on the snack menu.

4 Choose a weapon that will do the job as you can not change it when you have the interaction menu open I used a MG mk 2 with standard ammo and big clip.

5 Tank it and spam snacks.

This was on hard.

And you still get the same pay for the mission, right? Because if it's actually easier with 2 and you only have to split the earnings 2 way then it's a great deal.

Yup, the number of players doesn't change the payout amount, only the difficulty does.

Updated the OP already.

- All setups are complete already apart from a few roles that I might've gotten incorrect as I didn't get to play them (i.e. what the other Stromberg team does cause I think there's only 1 sub so I'm not sure if they did the same thing my team did)

- Preps aren't complete for Act 3 as I've yet to play them and was only able to do the setups.

- Act 3 finale is currently bugged and cannot be play so I don't have information about that either. Link to the thread regarding this issue.
