AUScowboy Posted April 7, 2018 Share Posted April 7, 2018 (edited) I'm amazed at how often i use this thing in races, in solo race/time trial playlists, and even to tool around FR with. It is very, very fun to drive IMO. Just fast enough to be fun, and loose enough to swing around canyon roads dangerously. It's like a little Japanese Stirling GT in the way of handling, I absolutely love it. Wasn't super familiar with the 240Z/2000GT prior to this car being added, but now I am and have to say I've grown a decent affinity for them. 79'Blazer4x4 Posted April 19, 2018 Share Posted April 19, 2018 I'm contemplating buying one of these since it's on discount, but it doesn't really fit with any of my other vehicles, which are all as close to real life vehicles as I can get them. As I've mentioned before in this thread, this is too much of a mixture between a 2000GT and a Fairlady to really look enough like either of them. I like the looks of it in its own right though, so maybe I could pretend it's some kind of kit car or something and go completely custom with it. Commander S Posted August 6, 2018 Author Share Posted August 6, 2018 Took it out for a spin recently - I thought I'd cooled off on it, what with the lack of mod options, the 2000GT still not being my ideal choice to mix with the 240Z, the too high-end interior lifted from the Rapid GT Classic, and ...nah, it's still just a lovely thing to throw around, and with the right options just ends up looking like a GTAO Fairlady. One thing that intrigues me, though: I wonder if this is actually an older model, originally, updated with a more modern interior (again, Rapid GT Classic) and engine model. Because while newer cars all seem to have abandoned crash deformation and the like (you can pop bumpers off, but you can't crumple the actual bodywork), the 190z still has it - ! Managed to botch a stunt jump yesterday, and like a launch-era car, the poor thing came out of it looking like it had been sculpted from tin foil... Well, after the useless fender flares with the horrible wheel fitment that is. In the After Hours patch notes they mentioned fixing something on the 190z as well some other cars, I was hoping it would be one of these issues, but apparently it was not.
