LucidLocomotive
I've seen Sly Shooter videos where he goes into LS Customs to evade 5 star wanted levels, but whenever I try to enter the garage, even if the cops can't see me, a prompt comes up on the screen that says "lose the cops". So how does he do it in his videos if you can't go in there with a wanted level? Do you have to own LS customs or is he just somehoe using a mod on console? Deadman2112
Normally the reason you can't get into the Ls Customs is because a Chopper can see you. You might think they can't see you but from the air, they have a better vantage point and are capable of spoting you from a much greater distance than the cops on the ground. As far as your questions "Can you lose your wanted level by driving into a Ls customs?" The answer is yes. Once you make it inside, if you change color of the car you will lose your wanted lvl If you're short on cash, or simply don't want to change the color of the vehicle you are driving... Then the other option available is to Simply sit in the Ls Customs long enough for the wanted Level to go away. However this only works if the door to the garage can fully close ...at the others the cops can still see you and may interupt waiting them out if they spot you The exact amount of time required to lose your wanted level will vary slightly depending on how high your wanted level is. However, if you're on the PS4 all you have to do is watch for the light on your controller to stop flashing red and blue. Excalibur Voltaire
Yes, you can But for some reason, it's impossible to enter the LSC near Carcer Way, Burton, as the prompt to lose the cops will appear, use other LSC LucidLocomotive

Deadman2112
I don't know what you guys are doing wrong but I just checked it a few moments ago and it worked even with 5 stars. I made it into all four of the Ls Customs including Beeker's Garage. I'll make a video of it if you like? I really don't know what advice too offer... ...spend time getting better at driving maybe. IDK ...there is an in game award that can be earned with your online character for driving certain distances without accidents. I found it helpful, maybe you will too. actually there are lots of driving Awards. I play with my radar and HUD turned off most of the time and still burn those cops. LucidLocomotive
Deadman2112, It's not that I need to get better at driving, I can get away from the cops very easily, that's clearly not what Im having trouble with. This post is about how the game does not allow me to enter the garage when I have a wanted level, even if the radar goes gray to indicate that I am out of sight. I thought that I was pretty clear about that
Deadman2112
what platform are you on? maybe that has something to do with it? the reason I made mention of the driving practice wasn't an insult in any way shape or form I hope you didn't take it that way what it comes down to is that when you're trying to make your way into one of the pay n sprays you have to do so aggressively and quickly meaning if you take too much time wrecking while you're making sharp Corners then you're obviously going to have trouble getting in the other night when I said that I tested it... I started off with a 3 star wanted level, eventually ending up with a 5 star wanted level I drove into each and every LS Customs including Beeker's garage one after another, and I was able to maintain my wanted level without losing it each time I went into the pay and sprays by not repainting the car. sometimes it took me a few tries to get into each garage because the cops were too close. When this would happen I'd lead them on a little circle around a few blocks away and come back and try again but each one eventually let me in. I honestly don't know what you're doing wrong because it works for me Edited December 11, 2017 by Deadman2112
LucidLocomotive
Yeah that's strange, for me this is what happens: No matter how damaged my car is, no matter how Im driving, whenever my car approaches the garage door that leads to the inside of Los santos Customs, the garage does not open, and a little rectangle pops up on the top left corner of the screen that says "lose the cops". This implies that on the version of the game that I am playing (ps3, and xbox 360, not sure which version), the game wants me to lose my wanted level before the door will open to allow me to go into the garage
Deadman2112
Maybe it's because you're on the 1st generation of the game? I started out on the first gen but, don't remember having issues on that version either... Oh well
HappyTorrentt
Ok, 3 years too late and I'm sorry about that. But I'm having this issue too. Only on PS4 though. On my PS3 and 360 I can enter any LSC no matter how many stars, saved me many times. On PS4 though, it gives me a pop-up saying "Lose the cops" even if I'm out of sight of the cops. I'm thinking it may just be a bug, but who knows
El Penguin Bobo
Yes, you can lose the cops with Los Santos Customs however, the cops needs to be either searching for you, or they can't be near you. It's kinda like GTA IV's system. Edited May 8, 2019 by xXPinguXx
Davao
I'm pretty sure you cannot use customs during missions, tbh. I'm pretty sure you could do it in IV.

Deadman2112
@xXPinguXx I think it is only available on some missions. Edited May 10, 2019 by Deadman2112
billiejoearmstrong8
Yeah it varies, there's definitely missions where you go there and it says it's closed. Same with the gun shop which is even dumber. And you can lose the cops with it as long as they can't see you go in. V's definition of the cops being able to see you is just less forgiving than in IV. Like, they can't be right round the corner, they have to definitely not know you're there. With the way they constantly spawn very near you it's nearly always easier to go and hide somewhere else tbh Edited May 11, 2019 by billiejoearmstrong8
