Grand Theft Auto IV: Beta Mod

This mod is on hold. The thread will be locked until further notice.

It's time to show some vehicles we've been working on...

I have been working for quite some time on some beta vehicles. I've been invited to make this mod with a few others! Now we've got the Vehicles, peds, textures and not to forget, Niko.

Good job, dude. Did you use the wheel texture I posted in beta Infernus thread? I hope your mod will be very successful. The merit's grill needs to be larger and less sharper. And also, I think the license plate needs to moved down a bit. The headlights needs to be reshaped. The NRG 900 had a Sh*tzu badge on the lower part of the body as you can see in Trailer 2.You may remove the red markers on the taxis. The police car had a registry number on the trunk. It also had no antenna. Some vehicles had no badges.

Sweet! A while back I had remade the deleted bank made by Gill Bertram for GTA IV and showcased most of it on the Beta Thread. Rented even told me in that thread that he could maybe help with getting it ingame. I had to recover the file in an older HD that was acting a bit weird, but now I have the files again. I still need to sort some small details out (some props that are not in GTA IV that need new textures plus better UV on some stuff), but if you want I can send the files his way to be included in this mod.

That would be great! Most vehicles are work in progress, haven't seen them released like mine before I think.. i know it sounds stupid I say it.... and I am restoring small map thingies too and trying to get bigger.. already replaced the doors of the bank of libert to the glass ones

Yep you're right! The headlights have been reshaped already, forgot to place the new one. The bumper was more sharp and didn't have foglights (the merit) and where did you see the trunk number??! I must have missed it somewhere..

Omg cant believe i missed that part.... thanks for telling! And i'll make a list of vehicles that need to be redone in alphabetical order and make them in that order.

I think the reflections could be possible with enb or ice enhancer. As for the Beta map, refer to cnt, screenshots and beta hunt. The timecyc is similar to San Andreas. Marbelle's rims are similar to ford Granada. Did you already read my post on beta noose boxville? There's some fix for the wrong sit animation and opening and closing animation. And why I see every vehicle didn't have dirt on them in some early screenshots?

Dirt may haven't been functioning well I think, the sit animation has been fixed already and comes with this mod, version 1 may be the release of some vehicles already but I am.gathering people who would love to test the vehicles first.

For the black ring that surround the center cap bore, idk how to do it. All helicopters have full grey color on their blades.

Please keep in mind that "Missing trees" or "white textures" aren't "Beta" They're unfinished (or yet-to-be-implemented) elements.

Beta content, as far as I consider is basically earlier versions of the same assets that are in the game (or cut content)

Character's looks, timecyc, missions, vehicle shapes, weapons, different building design...

 

Pls don't remove trees or other useless stuff. Stick to the way the game used to look early in development.

The Chavos in the picture looks different. The Blista Compact has different rims. I think all supercars had red brakes. The Hakumai had no grey line on its back. I was thinking that you may start an EFLC Beta Mod.

Did you use Niko's beta hair from beta hunt edited by Letus? And sorry for the spamming. You know how to do the beta helicopter blade effect? You need to edit the blades model.

Yep I am aware of the model of the blades but they're rotating way faster in the final version. Making the blades bigger won't be changing that much. But maybe i'll be having luck. Yesterday I started the checklist, soon I should be at the Maverick.

You have 3DS Max? With that you can create beta walking animations, helicopter sitting animations, etc. The Banshee in CNT had black center hubcap, brighter rims, double stripes, no badges and no rear mirrors. Damn, that's a lot of cars for ya, Brownie. I dunno if you can make that much. Sometimes, bugs can be cause by ZModeler2 such as rear badging bug, broken headlights bulb, etc. Vehicles had no grains on them. Your Beta Comet has no red brakes.

I will check for every tiny detail when I get there. Now I am at the Admiral. I have 3ds but I don't know how to use it. I just need to copy sitting and opening doors of the maverick from the front passenger seat to the rear too... of course its many cars but I have decided to go with this mod so i must finish it. Bugged cameras after export of zmodeler are fixed too

Did the admiral had no badges? Some cars retained their final design from beta. There's beta TLAD bikes hidden in vehicles.img. We can add them but they will cause map bugs or misplaced objects. To add their sounds, use Fastman92LimitAdjuster. The Buffalo in the billboard looks different from TBOGT.

Just worth to mention that audio.wad has different niko walking animation where his head shakes more , maybe that could be one of beta walking animations?

Hmm...I will check it. He had different walking animation in the first trailer. Here it is. Skip to 0:40. He didn't shake his head. Is the Infernus finished? I removed badges from some cars.
