Game freezes on every update

So me and my brother wanted to play gtao 4 weeks ago and the game froze all the time on the loading screen... so somehow it got fixed (have no clue) so we were happy it worked, until today he got in the game and the game froze AGAIN! So i tried rockstar support which didnt work because they're useless so i hope anyone knows how to fix this sh*t because its getting really f*cking annoying

Hey, I'm the bloke with the problem. It happened once back in the day and now it's happening again, no idea what caused it in the first place.

This is what worked the first time around, but now I have savefiles from GTAIV and LA Noire in the Rockstar folder, so I'm kinda reluctant about doing this again... But I'll delete just GTAV and Social Club to see what happens.

It's always clean, checked again, PC is indeed clean. Video drivers always at the latest version.

What are your computer specs? Especially your graphic card and what are the graphic settings you're using in game.

 

One thing I can think of is either 1. Your graphic card/PC isn't strong enough to handle this game or 2. You are over estimating your card strength and putting the graphics up too high.

 

Putting your graphical settings higher then the card can handle will cause your game to have extreme lag and in some cases freeze the game all together

i have a worser pc than him and the game runs smoothly on high and so does his! so i dont think that there are any problems with gpu

 

and since you requested the specs here they are:

 

R7 370

FX 6300

8gb ram

1tb hdd

and his psu is 550W

U wot mate? I've been playing since release (both PS3 and PC) with graphics at high-ultra and never had a problem. This started happening about 2 months back.

 

It happened at the last big update and now it happened again. No idea what causes it, but it seems to freeze the game after a specific amount of time, but measuring shows that each times it takes a few seconds more or less.

 

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I tried deleting the Rockstar folder and it didn't work

Have it on RGSC, but I already reinstalled the game and the exact problem persists

 

Still have no idea what's causing it though, been messing with it all day long but nothing seems to work

 

 

EDIT: Honestly this is starting to piss me off. GTA Online has so damn many problems that prevent it from working properly. I had a lot of server loading issue back in the day but now the client isn't working. sh*t's infuriating.

 

Right now I think I've tried everything Google had to offer, submitted a ticked to Rockstar but of course they didn't even bother reading it and closed the thread. One thing that seems prominent though is that the game freezes when an image of a GTA Online promotion is supposed to load up. Still, no idea why does it freeze and crash, since I already reinstalled and tried to repair it via the installer.

 

EDIT2: Now it crashes as soon as I press "Story Mode" or anything that initiates loading

 

EDIT3: Solved the issue in two possible ways. First off, I degraded the game's graphics to the absolute lowest and it worked, but it eventually crashed. Somewhy, enabling AMD's ReLive completely fixes the issue, can run the game at High-Very High again.
