@Dr Rosenthal

The copilot should be able to use the bombs ones you give him controll with the interactionmenu. Cant test it since mine has no bombs.

I did try it with a friend over mic the other day, but it didnt work. Chose co pilot-control of bomb bay in vehicle settings in interaction menu and everything, still didnt work. And he was in co pilot seat as he could fire the front MG. If anyone has solid info on this, please let me know!

When you check your map and you see people flying without the stealth

When I get to a lobby where there are only 1 or 2 players, I settle for business, send them peace messages and to show my good will, I do all my stuff with the Akula in non-stealth

It has happen several times and we all get along, cause the real enemy is not in the sky or the road, the real enemy is Rockstar, that wants everyone.to fight and loose money so they get desperate and go for shark cards, the only goal of this whole f*cking game now - shark cards

Probably the prep-mission one. That one has its stealth-mode disabled.

Which livery and primary/secondary colors are you guys using now the snow is gone? I miss my snow camouflage. It worked wonders.

This baby was worth every penny. Took it out last night in stealth mode, just spectating folks without so much as a single gunshot coming at me. Just waited for some jackass in an oppressor to start trolling random ceos and knocked him right out of the sky twice. Griefers gonna grieve now.

Wont bother messing with non-trolls though, not even fair, this is all just payback

I didn't change livery at all, it was Urban Warrior one with matte frost white both, now going to be full matte grey.

Bloody hell, people get really salty when you use this thing to kill them.

Came into a lobby today and saw a guy driving around in a fully maned khanjali, killing people over and over while talking smack in the sidechat. I decided to pay him a little visit, so i called in my akula and went over to him in stealthmode, poped out of stealthmode right behind him, grilled his chrome tank and went back into stealth.

The guy blew up like a bomb. Writing stuff like: "Black Dragon is a hacker Report, he has offradar hack and can blow up my tank with only 2 rockets" (i shot 8 at him btw.) all in caps into the sidechat for the next 5 min.

All 4 of them called in hydras and went looking for me. I followed the main guy (the smack talker) in stealthmode, poped out and blew him out of the sky.

30 sec. later my game suddenly went bananas and chrashed.

The other day a scriptkid spawned a guitar on me that caused me to fly into the sky after I went bounty hunting in my akula.

@cobrax

Still mate black, still no camo.

I dont see any reason to change it because during the day you are easily spotted no matter what color you use. During the night however mate black is king.

For the snow i also do not need a camo because the snow creates its own natural camo after flying around for a bit.

I'm tempted to stump up the extra mill for this. I've always earned the discounts though. But, its a pain finding people for the heists, I've had to work with a different person for each setup as the last wasn't online when I wanted to run the next one.

I'm up to the server farm. Failed it last night because the level 70 random I was with, wasn't pulling their weight. Frustrating.

^exactly this.

I'm a huge fan of this. I have racked up so many kills this past weekend killing every single Harry Potter biker in the lobby. I only go after them and red dots in the lobby. This heli is a beast, and sometimes I feel bad killing them. Feels sort of cheap LOL

To be honest....I can see Rockstar* putting a cooldown on the stealth ability. It's just that powerful IMO...

Keep trying. You can complete that mission with 2 people. Go for "normal" instead of "hard" if the team isn't competent enough. There are still around 15 vehicles to come (think MrBossFTW mentioned it in one of his videos), so I wouldn't waste money if you can avoid it.

If they nerf stealth, this heli will have nothing!

The only reason it's good right now is spamming stealth

Ironically enough I feel more like a hunter in the Akula than in the Hunter itself. I start by going high up in the sky and observing the map for a while, looking out for possible victims and then I silently creep up on them and kill them. With the Hunter, I just tend to go full Rambo mode. :p

Think I've gotten around 30-50 kills in the Akula in the last couple of days. Mostly players with a bounty on them, sometimes people who are participating in a global server event. But I don't keep killing them until they rage quit. After 1 or 2 kills, I switch to someone else (unless the person is being a real a-hole). Normally I don't go after CEOs who are grinding for money unless they are f*cking with other players for no reason.

Already encountered a cheater because of that. CEO and his associate (both a-holes) were in a van on the highway bringing a gunrunning shipment back to the bunker. So I performed a nice carpet bomb on them and immediately flew off to hide behind the mountains. Also enabled passive mode. Once out of sight I see like 10 explosions on my tail with nobody around me. I said "don't bother I'm in passive mode" and a few seconds later my character committed suicide out-of-the-blue.

It seems though as if the homing missiles don't lock onto certain shipments? For example: gunrunning shipments, import/export cars... Even when Player Targeting Priority is set to "everyone". And to be fair, I also often feel kinda cheap/cowardish when using the Akula because if timed and planned correctly, it should be a fairly easy kill. Whenever I feel like trolling though, I use the strike team from my facility and watch the live action on camera. :D

Don't want to look like bloodthirsty, but this my favorite line. Next time ask if he want modded money and tell him to go to certain location where something will drop on him for sure.

My akula does not have bombs, so delivering presents would be kinda hard. :D

Yeah you can't lock onto any ceo type jobs. But you can bomb the life out of them if you want

I can't decide which camo to use other than Nature Reserve (zebra stripes) with Matte Green or Olive Drab. Most of the other liveries are either too bright or have patterns that make it easier to spot. Parking the Akula on a grassy hill with this camo makes it hard to spot from a distance.

During the snow I had the zebra stripes with matte white. Wish the snow would last longer, since I loved the snow camo.

I freaking love the Akula, can't wait to get back from the holidays. Just flying this thing is pure joy. I'm an expert heli pilot in gta and the Akula is the best chopper I've ever flown in this game. Not to mention its capabilities, top predator.

I've had several Hunter pilots talk smack on YouTube how the Hunter would kick my ass. A little hard to kick the ass of someone you can't see...

Thanks. I got the hacking done OK, but when we got back to the surface we just kept getting cut down. Not all their fault I guess, being lvl 70 they had less health, snacks and probably less body armor too.

yeah, if you can save some money in this game, it definitely makes sense to do it. I'll stick with it, i was just feeling impatient to get hold of the Akula, such a cool looking chopper.

I remember doing it on hard the first time as a non-host with 4 people. We died a lot too. Even in the hacking room one guy kept on dying since he was tired. But yeah the tricky part is outside and more specifically climbing the ladders. I also did it once on normal with just 2 people (one level 50 guy with a good aim and me). Mowing down everything that moves with the minigun after you've taken care of the choppers worked here. That and covering each other, especially when going up the ladders one by one.

Well I just got it done. A 3 person team, me, a 572, and a 50 something who died on the first attempt, but we nailed it on the second try. I went old school outside, special carbine with drum magazine & a few shots from my grenade launcher.

Got worried at the end, it stalled for ages & said 'waiting for players' I thought one or both had dropped connection and it may not register it properly, but it did.

Snapped up my Akula within seconds of landing back in free roam :)

Man, are those weapons systems pricey though!!!!

Just had my first run up against a Hunter with my Akula. The Hunters flares does not save it from the constant barrage of missiles the Akula can deal out. His flares saved him from two missiles, but there were already two more homing in on his location. Love this thing.

Yeah when you come under attack from something that's not moving away or towards you with missile spam you are going to get hit eventually flares or not. That's why I feel you are much better of with chaff on the hunter under all circumstances

I love this chopper. The only thing is the handling. Is there a specific setup that maximizes handling and control. I know it is not a buzzard but shouldn't it handle like it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Video.

One downside, it's pretty annoying that you can't keep expanded radar in it, like in a plane. Nice video, btw, patience is a key

This thing has made me into a damn homing beacon for Orbital Strikes. Thrice today people I've fought have gone Ghost Org and run to their facility to Obliterate me... THRICE.

EDIT:

Also, the agility on this thing can't be praised enough. A very salty player tried to ambush me outside my hangar (he previously Ghost Org and ran to his bunker to Obliterate me), yet his little ambush didn't go according to plan.

Would this make Akula OP?

Stealth mode now halves the range of lock on range for enemies.

According to the fact, that by unknown circumstances it could be blown one shot, like Avenger, still no.

Also interesting fact, if Lazer hits wing to wing with Akula, first will be destroyed, last will be slightly damaged like after anything was blown near.
