Texturiser
I never see anyone else in one Me neither, but I guess we never will even if people are using them. Not until it's too late nayway. It really is a ninja of a helicopter. It's perfect when you get someone who just wants to be one up on you, doesn't care about getting a lot of kills - just being higher than you. Then you don't need to be prepared for a huge battle with flares and everything. All you need is to be able to hide and wait for the right moment, and then disappear with a 1-0 score, taunting the EWO-spamming tryhard endlessly lol. I have witnessed extremely salty behaviour because of this diamond of a helicopter. This thing is definitely a tryhards' nightmare elfoam and Happy Hunter
LordLoff
Not the best looking camo but I believe is the most effective to adapt to all situations, I just change the base colour 2K from time to time and now is the season of matte white https://m.facebook.com/carlosloff?refid=8#!/photo.php?fbid=10210398482827887&id=1517683535&set=a.10207700375056879.1073741842.1517683535&source=48&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.10210398482827887%3Atl_objid.10210398482827887%3Athrowback_story_fbid.10210392551439606%3Athid.1517683535%3A306061129499414%3A69%3A0%3A1514793599%3A6521421927794355622&__tn__=EH-R
elfoam
winter has come to LS don't forget to adapt your camouflage Frost White (Metallic) as primary and secondary color? Or Bluish Silver? nope. just both matte ice white I'm running both matte white now also, goes like a boss, especially at night, haven't been shot down yet in hours and hours. I guess everyone using it has adapted to the machine like I have. I don't battle in it. I hide, I wait.. time the attack. The waiting and stalking is even more exciting than a battle ! Aslad
First and only encounter with one so far was during the Scavenger Hunt - I kept getting lock on warnings whilst flying my Deluxo and missiles kept appearing out of seemingly nowhere, until I started paying close attention to the map and noticed a blip briefly appearing every now and then... unfortunately I'd run out of my own missiles but managed to get into a "dogfight" of sorts with the Akula and eventually managed to kill it with my guns Happy Hunter and elfoam

Happy Hunter
Got to be careful with deluxo's that's quite a dangerous machine if you let it face towards you Even with a chaff-enabled Hunter, those are quite nasty little things. They have those missiles like on the Ruiner. And the way they move - they're not like Oppressors or similar stuff that has to take a pass, but then will have its back to you. They can just sit there and spam away. Definitely need to be wary around them. Aslad, Nossirag and Goingcrowd9
Shadowfennekin
The Akula is loads of fun. Unlike the Hunter, which has been basically rotting since I bought it..... I take out the Akula multiple times a session just to f*ck with people, it's great fun especially in the snow. Prenihility
Ok, my friend keeps saying that the gun camera is "glitched" for him? It's apparently sluggishly slow. It takes the movement of his mouse across his entire mousepad to move it even a little. ??? We went through settings and nothing changes apparently. Does anyone experience anything like this? We swap seats and i notice nothing. It's fine for me. According to him it happens "sometimes" with the Hunter. Always with the Akula. We fly the Hunter a lot. And he never seems to complain about the camera. What is this? It's irritating both of us. I wanna fly the Akula. I haven't even taken it for a proper test run against live targets... docholladay1976
I love the Akula! Hiding in plain sight, doing freeroam events feeling like I'm in a solo lobby, surprising bounties who think they're safe and far away from anyone, and boom bounty claimed. Thought I'd try my luck against an oppressor yesterday. Managed to get him 3x before he left the lobby. The snow is a major help in hiding too. Go in stealth, circle around and head him off, it's almost too easy. Was surprised when I took an rpg that I was able to keep going. I was smoking heavily but able to get to safety before going down. My only wish is that it had 76 on it like the Chernobog. Oh well, not like most people will see me coming anyways. Hécate-II
..GhosT
Could it be that its homing rockets are absolute sh*t? I have engaged multiple helicopters by now and not one rocket has hit them regardless of angle and missile spam.
Rabid Vulpix
I just played The Los Santos Connection alongside 3 helicopter pilots: an Akula, Hunter, & Savage. Got to the scrapyard & for some reason the Akula went stealth, Hunter didn't see him circling around in the opposite direction, they collided & both ko'd into the electrical tower. The Savage pilot just turned to look at the explosions, could tell he was just thinking "Sigh, new helicopters...." So just remember, stealth in the Akula doesn't make you collision proof! I know what you mean but I've taken out hydras, Opressors, Deluxos other helicopters so they're not always sh*t but sometimes it seems like none hits what they're supposed to Nossirag
Karrecod
I just bought this thing and ohhhh boy do I love it! I always fly off the radar and scan the (extended) map. I get behind my target, use just one rocket and activate stealth again. No one knew a thing! I love combining it with Lesters off the radar as well. I see someone driving to a certain spot (for example someone delivering a car to the warehouse). I park my chopper in stealth mode and call Lester just before stepping out. Now I have a full minute of being off the radar so I can intercept everything coming my way. The only thing they notice is my name in the players list, maybe a parked chopper to the side and eventually assault shotgun shells to the face! Dottie
for free roam transport, I definitely found this useful for cruising from point-to-point undisturbed. Though not as armed as a Hunter with explosive machine guns, countermeasures, and whatnot, It's a must-have in my opinion for public sessions. I must get used to that twitchy handling though...too much time on the sluggish Savage got me almost crashing the Akula because of how sharp it turns
Mr Woods1990
I've been having loads of fun with the Akula but I can't lock on to some GR Vehicles, especially if they are running sales. Does anyone know why this is? Targeting Priority is set to Strangers.

I can *On Call* for a CM at 2am on a Wednesday & have no issue finding a full lobby of mixed players for Titan or a Job. Or a pair of 500+ level players wanting to run Stick Up The Stickup Crew. I would probably keep the Tula, though the Avenger is better the Tula does float which is neat and I love the look of it. Tough choice though I'd keep them both but between the two I would stick with the Tula. Black-Dragon96
Here is my black beauty: I kept it simple, mate black and homing rockets for self defense. Its a great helicopter and together with the hunter my favourite in the entire game. The only thing I dont like is that the homing rockets do not have a non-homing setting wich makes it very hard to fight ground targets. Black-Dragon96
Yeah I guess they forgot the manual aim missiles. Easily fixed though. Well i think they did that intentionally. I mean they make you choose between homing and barrage while the hunter that has both. Nossirag, xXxKAMIKAZExXx and Fatsanchez
