Imponte Deluxo appreciation thread

The Deluxo is perfect for headhunter. The more time you take the more money you get anyway. If you sit and wait to kill the last target until there is less than 3 mins you get the full 25K but who wants to wait that long? If you start in the city there's no way it takes you more than 6 or 7 minutes to get all 4 targets anyway.

And then I used the Buzzard for sightseer.

The mission is 15 minutes. I can do it usually in less than 5 with the Buzzard or akula.

That's 20k.

I wait five minutes for the VIP cooldown and sell a sandking while waiting.

Thats 17k.

Then do sightseer, usually in about 5 minutes.

That's 20k.

So in that same 15 minutes I've made over 57k instead of 25k plus 3 extra minutes.

Maths are easy. :)

Ha! But you can only sell a vehicle every 24 hours game time....but I do like your math.

Mostly what I do to make money is source/sell cars for import export (80K profit) and then do Sightseer in between. That's about 100K every 30 mins or so conservately.

A dream of the 1970s and an icon of the 1980s, anybody who has seen one of these cars has had atleast one thing to say about it. And plenty of us have wanted to own one at some point in our lives, whether it's as a piece of Vinewood history, automotive curiosity, or just plain appreciation of this stainless, wheezing, gull-winged sports coupe.

Ha! That 15 minutes is between sourcing and selling cars and guns. It's a matter of efficient use of time and deluxo is just too slow to get around the map.

So with a little practice and the right video I realized I already did the speed glitch but didn't recognize it. Now I can do it in 1 or 2 tries. It's useful when doing the point to point vehicle cargo missions and might viable once I can do it every time.

It's fun and all but not something I would use in a public lobby. Especially to grief players. But I might use it to catch a speeder that's griefing. ;)

Thinking about picking this up before the end of the rebate period on Tuesday.

Are there any downsides to this car? I don't have a bunker or MOC and have no desire to put guns on it, just fly. I've always wanted it but 4.7 mil is a lot.

My personal one is I believe dark blue with either racing or ultra blue pearlescent, and whatever the stock brushed metal secondary is, along with some black wheels with a chrome lip. Can't remember what name, but pretty sure they're muscle wheels :p

The point of doing VIP work is to do it as fast as possible, since the time doesn't affect the final payout as much as it does in Contact Missions. The faster you complete VIP work - the more times you can do it in a row => the more money you can make per hour.

Deluxo is too slow for Headhunter. I can complete it under 1-2 minutes with a Hydra, still recieve my 20K and move on to the next business activity.

If you want something that kinda hides the metal texture, try using an ice white pearl underneath brushed steel

Biggest downside is it puts a giant, red bullseye on your back.

I'm conflicted about the Deluxo, fun to drive/fly, sounds good and looks good as well. Unfortunately the amount of times I've been attacked by these things makes me hate it so much. Much worse than the Oppressor because somehow it takes even less skill to use decently. I wouldn't have a problem with it if the weapons just weren't there (mine doesn't have weapons, PvE and missiles don't mix well most of the time)

What other people do with their toys shouldn't make you feel bad for enjoying your own toys. It's not the car's fault, after all, that the owner is prone to random acts of violence. The Deluxo is great fun just as a car, and plenty of people who own one just do for the sake of it. Enjoy it if you can!

Fun enough to drive even if it couldn't fly, I think. Here's my ugly Deluxo.

I use this car for contact missions. So damn easy and it kinda makes CM's fun to do again. I even compiled a playlist with good missions to do with the car.

It's also great fun to drive around with, fully upgraded even more. I kept mine stock with an OUTATIME license plate.

I didn't think colored chrome still works. This is blue chrome.

Anyway, I bought one because it's nice to have a flying machine at your disposal for quick getting around.

And here's my Deluxo's theme song.

I don't understand people complaining that the Deluxo is slow. In air? It's certainly not a Lazer or a Buzzard, but on the ground? It keeps up with the pack. Plus, when you can just, y'know, fly over mountains rather than drive around them, the point-to-point time is more meaningful than speed.

Then again, I seem to be one of few people here who likes the ground-based handling. Mmm, heavy 80s cars...

I really like the drive handling as well. And I have all the upgrades.

That doesn't make it quick to get around by today's GTAO standards.

I mean, if you're pursuing someone you might lose them for a minute or two, but the Deluxo can go anywhere and sure enough they'll see the little bastard-mobile slowly hovering over the mountains towards them in due course Edited by Cutter De Blanc

Yes. I might see the bastid mememobile slowly creeping over the mountain, but he won't see me until it's too late.

the thing is though, I've been escorting a friend doing Haulage with a Deluxo, and it couldn't keep up with the Phantom custom hauling a trailer - neither in the air nor on the ground. And this was going from the Alamo Sea to the docks. Even flying in a direct line, my friend beat me there by a solid 30 seconds at least.

There aren't many non-hyper/sports cars that can keep up with the Phantom Custom.

I honestly and respectfully don't get how people think this is an efficient VIP vehicle. I guess it is if all ur targets are a mile away from you, but if they're across the map you might as well play VIPs with a strategy to use the entire time for that extra couple grand. Instead of doing two VIPs in nearly the same amount of time.

Phantom Custom has the speed of an average Super car, not suprised Deluxo can't keep up. Where it makes back time is not having to turn, it can travel a straight line from point a to point b
