I love Trailer Park Boys but there's nothing about Trevor that screams "reference". They're not psychopaths like Trevor is, except maybe when Lahey is wasted and being Canadian + crazy antics doesn't really scream reference either.

For example

Lethal Weapon...

When Michael pulls the stilt house off the cliff face with a Dooley truck

The shrink is a parody of the shrink from the TV show MASH

Jimmy Boston and the Epsilon program is a parody of Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology

 

...the TV show The Prisoner

...the X files

...even an old Twilight Zone episode

...and so-forth and so-on, the list goes on and on

 

So far I've found one in just about every mission

 

Edit that's not to say Trailer Park Boys is one of them

Those are direct parodies though. Nationality + lifestyle alone doesn't mean much.

How the f*ck is that even a connection, "Trevor is Canadian therefore he's a reference to the Trailer Park Boys". That's like saying GTA 5 is a reference to Schindler's List just because Schindler's List has cars in it and so does GTA 5.
