On ps4 you can go to settings, network, set up internet connection. Choose custom, keep everything the same. When you get to mtu change it to like 800. Load back into online and you should have solo. Every now and then 1 player may join but thats all/

You can get into a solo session on pc easily.

1. Alt+ tab to close the game window

2. Left crtl+ left shift+ esc

3. Go to performance tab

4, click open resource moniter

5. Find gta.exe, right click it and suspend process

6. Wait around 10 seconds and right click it and resume process.

If it doesnt work the first time u can repeat steps 5&6, theres no risk of getting banned for doing this, and do note that people may start joking and repopulate the lobby after a while, usually 1hr for me.

You can also do some firewall shenanigans by blocking ports, but I don't have the instructions on hand. This makes a session completely private, but it also prevents any friends from joining.

Same works with 3rd party tools like Process Explorer

It's BS though. I sell in full sessions - no problem.

I'm on PC as well. My success rate is 95% or so.

Situational awareness + speed are your friends.

Know the game mechanics

1) I/E vehicles are invulnerable for the first 10 seconds after they spawn outside the garage, if you see an ambush don't give up and use this window.

2) All Bikers Business delivery vehicles are invulnerable until you enter them or turn them over. Don't rush entering them - check the environment first.

3) Sometimes switching sessions is worth the cost of the few crates

4) Never fly / drive away from homing missles. Always, fly / drive towards the opponent like I did in the video. Use your flare gun if you can.

5) Selling a small amount of stock will leave you with better delivery vehicles.

I do agree that you may want to be as safe as possible if you need money ASAP, but this introduces a habit of being too relaxed. If you have to help a random person with a sale in populated session - you won't know what to do with the aggressors, since you have zero experience. It also makes the game boring with time.

The difference between you and most of the gta-casuals is that you are able to use your brain, flex. Don´t expect to much from the majority of the playerbase. For most it´s easier to whine and bitch instead to learning by doing.

I couldn't agree with this statement more. I'm a solo player for the most part, I lobby jump until I hear the explosions and enjoy the emptiness of the session. The only battles I get into with are NPC's. It has gotten me, my CEO warehouse's, The MC clubhouse the weed/coke/meth business, as well as a bunker and MOC, it's made making money relatively easy for me and the grind rather enjoyable to almost relaxing levels.

It's also made me rather useless outside of that realm. Like my buddy said, as he was looking at my stats the other night. "You have the firepower but not the experience to back it up" . as much as it sucks to admit it, that's a 100% correct statement

I make it a point to play in open lobbies now during the smaller sales. As much as I know it hurts my game play I'm not willing to risk a large delivery in a lobby full of randoms that like to kill each other. Loosing 60k isn't a big deal to me, but 80k+ yeah, I'll take the experience hit on that one until I can complete a small sale while under attack without loosing everything in the process.

Playing in empty lobbies is a lot like drugs, all morals aside in moderation it's ok, but use it everyday and before you know it your life is effed.

It entirely depends on what you are trying to achieve with your play session. If you want the cold hard currency for another upgrade go into a solo session. If you want an "experience" that can only be derived from the (real or perceived) threat of others then join a full session and begin your delivery.

For some people listening to music and enjoying driving a post op van is all they want to achieve in a day, others may want that excitement of constantly trying to watch 29 other blips on the radar.

There is nothing stopping anyone from doing both in any given day.

I agree with the posters above, concerning selling in public lobbies. It’s really not that bad.

Though I play on PS4. PC might be more difficult, with modders and such.

But if you are careful with choosing the session you’re going to sell in, you should be able to have at least 75% succesrate.

Never start a sale immediately. Always check the map for signs of danger.

Are players camping/ fighting on your route to the other county, or do you see opressors or jets? Beter find another lobby.

Also, take some time to follow the notifications above the minimap. You’ll know soon enough if crates and shipments are being attacked. If so, find a new lobby.

And finally, if you do find something to your liking, take your time to plan your route, before you enter the vehicle.A minute spend choosing a safe / easy / fast route will pay itself back quickly. And If you stay at least 2 blocks or 1 hill away from others, there’s a good chance no one will even bother to come after you.

If players do come after you ( always keep an eye on the map!) get out of the vehicle, don’t panic and fight them.

Don’t be a sitting duck, be a killing duck!

I’m doing sales myself like this and I’m not even good at pvp ( kd is 0.5 or lower), but I have a 80% succesrate in public lobbies.

It really is a lot more fun then those desolate solo lobbies.

Cheers, Lanesend

Guide > Settings > Network Settings > Test NAT Type

Your matchmaking will be unstable (ie sh*t) until you reboot the game.

There is no reason to mess with your internet settings.

1 Go to Online, go to Optiions and switch Matchmaking to Closed.

2 Jump sessions until you have an empty session.

3 Enjoy

You can have up to 4 friends in the session with you but make sure the other 3 do the same thing or you won't keep an empty session.

THIS WORKS ON ALL PLATFORMS.

I tested it and got a person in my lobby after 2 hours.

The best method for pc is block port i think, the suspend method dont work with I/Export, the car gets destroyed

Gunrunning is not too risky in public sessions as most of your sales are in armoured vehicles - and in the case of Marshalls and Buggies you won't go too near the congested areas.

Similarly with I/E you have the advantage of speed. You should be able to outrun most opportunists with ease.

The one thing you have to watch out for is players with jets who are bombing everyone in sight - but you'll know if there's one in the server if you observe for a few minutes - in that case I'd switch sessions rather than sell.

It's also worth remembering that the only Freemode activity where you get a significant boost from doing larger sales is special cargo. It's much easier for a single troll to shaft you with the types of vehicles it lumbers you with too, which is why I don't bother with it.

Plus, anyone want to move 1m in a tug boat now there is an orbital strike ability?

So move smaller amounts more often. There is absolutely no need to sell a full bunker in 1 go, given a delivery mission can typically be done in under 10 minutes. Much less risk but you'll be getting delivery bonuses for busy lobbies which rack up over time.

The maximum I move in a public server is 210k worth of guns sold far (what you get from one full supply bar - also gauranteed to be one delivery vehicle).

i hesitate to even mention this... but it's perfect at least on xbox one.

i have made so much scratch with this that the price tags on whatever i want is practically irrelevant. i almost feel like they changed the way the controllers idle out on the xbox just to force me to come up with a new way to spam the controller. ha! 8)

let your bunker fill all the way up every damn time. full lobby, small lobby--whatever. start the sell weapons, see if it's the two trucks, or maybe the three easy Insurgent locations. (both of those are easily do-able, solo--which is important because you're not gonna have any bodyguards left if you're forced to use the trick) if it is one of those two, go ahead and do it. if it's not, find new session, repeat. but that's not the tip you're looking for.

here's the magic part.

if the session is full and you feel like trying for the high-risk bonus, go right ahead. any time somebody comes near you, you can still do this trick and kick everyone and finish your sale. if you don't feel like bothering with that sort of nonsense, just do the trick preemptively. don't bother with it before starting the sale, though, because if you're gonna have to find new session anyway (see the part about the two trucks or the three Insurgents) then you're just wasting time.

the trick:

go out where your wireless router is and UNPLUG THE patch cable. yes. count to seven, and plug it back in. then go back and wave good-bye to everyone as THEY leave YOUR session. the best part is if they were coming to screw you over, and you're fast enough, they're standing there frozen and you can even blast them on their way out.

pretty much the only way you can fail is if you suck and can't get it done in time, or if you crash the Phantom Wedge and watch your trailer go spinning into the ocean or something. i recommend buying a bunker with your second character as well, and double your profits.

you're welcome, and merry christmas.
