This is how much GTA$ you need to own EVERYTHING in GTA Online

Excluded clothing, though. What I mean by "owning everything" is not having 6 high-end apartments, but 1 luxury, 1 stilt, 1 updated, 1 high-end, 1 medium-end and 1 low-end apartment. This will limit the amount of vehicle you can purchase, though. It's hard to determine what the individual player needs to have in their bank account to own everything they want.

The spreadsheet below is a rough estimate on how much you need to own everything in GTA Online.

Spreadsheet Link

I've calculated it as "you can only own one Vigilante, one T20, one..." ect.. Same counts for apartments, as mentioned.

I excluded weapons from the calculation. I totally didn't forget that weapons were a thing... I'll add that later LOL

First time I publish this anyway, I expect there to be some mistakes here and there.

Is this worth it, though? $5.000 worth of Megalodon Sharkies.

Cool man!

I saw someone break down the entire costs on a 2 hour YouTube video a week or two back, it's crazy how much it cost.

I would be interested to see how much buying all the clothing would cost though... It's got to break 7-figures.

It would actually break 8 figures - remember the premade outfits and expensive 25k cowboy boots! ;)

E: Plus, even without the clothing, $5.000 worth of Megalodon Shark Cards ain't my cup o'tea,

Is this worth it, though?

No.

You'll feel the pain when you try switching through masks, hats, clothing in general, Pegasus vehicles, etc, etc. It gets real annoying real quick. I was on last gen and when they announced no more updates buying everything seemed like a good idea at the time.

It wasn't.

Nice analysis you put together. Just goes to show how much more expensive gta has gotten. New players are f*cked.

Edit: did some quick math on this. The total amount equals to 50 megalodon sharkcards. Meaning that in order to have the most expensive items, it will cost you 5k in real money. Thats my estimate.

Impressive.

Also such potential donations sizes and yet we still have game filled with bugs. But free content, wooo.

Add clothing, at least $150m more, I think.

I would assume that too. But adding all the clothings and prices of them will take weeks with the free time I have

Just like in real life, everyone needs are different, and there is no objective in the game to have anything, you could just stay with your pistol if you wanted.. so it's kinda pointless, same as in rl you wouldn't purchase everything there is to purchase, same is with gta online.

Good work, Classique. So, it'll cost you about 400 million dollars just to own everything in GTA online.

But don't forget all of the additional costs like bullets, body armor, entry fees, insurance costs, special cargo missions gone awry, unwise respray and other cosmetic decisions, clothes (which you mentioned), Pegasus concierge costs, the daily mechanic and assistant fees, and the property fees (mine is 4.2k daily!), and other business operational costs on coke, weed, etc, and bunker staff and maintenance fees, etc, etc, and anything else I may have missed.

You can easily add an extra 100-200 million just in expenses.

Woah, nice find guys. $5000 to get everything in a $60 game is just outrageous, and that's not including future updates or any of the clothing. You can buy a real life car (albeit a crappy one) for that kind of money. :O

Of course, I'm sure there are glitchers who have well over that amount.

I don't know how it ended up such a small amount. I was sure it would be well over 500 million.

Well, keep in mind that clothing is excluded, so I would assume it's going to be 400M +- 150M if everything is included :)

Bit drastic, lol.

I own all clothes except from the Smuggler's Run new helmets/nightvision things (2 categories, already priced them around $6m-$7m), but I've spent 23m roughly on all clothes.

I did get some on discount, but certainly not that much, lol.

Great work classique, be a handy reference for many too. I've made almost $330m now. Aside from the research, which I never paid a dollar for and finished last night, thank f*ck!. I do feel it was worth it in the sense of fun and what-not I got from the game, 100%.

As I said, the research is a huge no for me, it returns, I leave again, but for good. Unacceptable. I give them a pass as I do feel it was a bit of an experiment, we'll see, plus the unexpected success may have forced knee jerk DLC's. Now they know, now we know, never again. It's not gaming to me.

Money/shark card-wise, worth it?... Hell no, and anyone that has spent that much, or near it for all this crap that's going to get erased/deleted/forgotten when the next GTA/other games come out, lol. Such a waste.

The hours needed to 'grind' to that level are absurd too (103 days here, granted, so much goofing around) with no end in sight. So much commitment needed to get success from a god damn game. I look back fondly for sure, met many a twat, many a great player too. Met great players here to talk about GTA with too, no complaints about my gaming experiences, even the bad made me better, lol... But I'm a day one player that progressed, so I, and others with a similar start date/approach didn't suffer too badly. Well, until public only came along, since then, I've had luck with 2x events/heists... Forget the businesses if you actually want fun, lol. Freemode businesses never sustained me and my spending... $175m from jobs alone, I was fine as it was. No forced way to play back then. Dude, I could write essays of the good and bad I took from GTA, lol...

But that much, and players are defending the microtransactions/loot box mentality... Makes me laugh, but also worry for the next title coming, RDR2. And of course, what GTA VI will contain and what gets held back for the whales to buy for us... Bad times indeed.

Suffice to say, if you can only play videogames now and then, maybe a little at weekends for an hour or 2, a very casual approach, and you don't plan on spending, or cheating... GTA:O ain't for ya... Shame.

* As Jenkiii pointed out too, there's just so many little bits not accounted for even, crates bought, supplies bought. I've got over $11m not on my stats, from buying crates and Pegasus calls etc. So many lil' bits that soon add up... Ammo, FML... $7m so far...

If the game was played in a story mode state which includes doing all the missions once and the heists just the once, how much money would that be? Enough for a couple of supers?

Do it right, hitting the heists will net you around $14m through payouts and bonuses...

I did my sons CMM with a few guys from here, and he was on 600k (roughly), and rank 68 or something... By the time we'd done it, he was just under $15m...

Sweet start, but as we know... It's just the beginning. That cash bought him a few businesses and such, and a Tron bike/Oppressor... He's gold!.

(Thanks guys, you saved us hours there, lol).

Great write up ;) Here's my question. If modded/glitched money debacle had never happended to gtao, would prices still be as insane as they are?

Personally I feel the game prices fell victim to inflation from glitches and other methods.

I don't think so.

Case in point: There were too many glitchers and modders since day one.

BUT It is known that the game had quite a lot of active players at launch, but lost many(over a million) in 2014, which is the period where they only did thematic updates, therefore that was also a period where there was less shark cards buyers.

As a result, they started to change things and make updates more expensive with heists update on 2015.

And I guess that now they just rolling with it and testing the whales patience and see how further they can go with the pricing.

That's my take on this.

Prices were expensive day one.....

Look at the trailer and look how much it cost to get a hair cut and look at it now heck if u can find footage of the prices of clothing back then then u see my point.

People wouldn't have to glitch or mod if oh idk if the payouts for every mode was decent like how it should be.

Modded money has not driven the prices up - the end. Rockstar's greed is solely responsible for it.

1) A new car costs $100,000.

2) I mod/glitch/bodge $50 gazillion.

3) The next new car costs $50,000,000 to balance dodgy monies.

4) Only people with gazillions of modded$ can buy them straight away.

5) They get more doller$ if they do ever run out.

The ONLY people not hurt by increased prices are the people with illegitimate money (or people that use real world money).
