Why was this game underrated?

I don't see why was this game underrated. When i played it, it was awesome. In fact, i thought it was WAY better than GTA V.

saying any GTA game is better than GTA V seems like a common thing here , its just like that every GTA game i think , some like it , some dont.

 

and dont you think VCS is more underrated ? pretty sure if you\re talking underrated GTA , it's VCS. but i could be wrong.

I agree with you 100% there. I quite liked the game as well, however it is my least favourite 3D GTA, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

VCS is WAY more underrated. Even though i haven't played it yet, it looks fun as hell.

Enjoyed this game, can't wait for it to be available on PS4. VCS didn't do it for me though. The empire building was annoying as anything. It's the only 3D game I haven't got 100% on as I just didn't enjoy it. Maybe when it comes out on PS4 I can give it another try.

VCS is WAY more underrated. Even though i haven't played it yet, it looks fun as hell.

 

There's a lot more to do in VCS .it's just considered the worst Gta in the series for side missions because there are so many , but i think Rockstar wanted to make the last 3D game a lot more difficult from the predecessor's ... Both are great game's though don't get me wrong , but i didn't really enjoy the story for LCS. They are both underrated , but i think Gta Advance was more over looked then these two titles

LCS is far from underrated to me, but far from as good as Gta5. LCS is lots of fun but Gta5 and the online is simply amazing.

 

I prefer LCS to Gta 3. LCS has motorcycles, clothing options, a helicopter to jack, cool replayable stuff, a good enough story, and more. I also like Toni much more than Claude. However the Ps2 graphics are poor even for a Ps2 and the Ps3 port is disappointing with reported bad frame rates. So to date there has been no decent console version released. So being underrated by many console gamers is not surprising. VCS stories released on Ps2 a year later in 2007 has yet to be ported to an hd console. Like LCS it also had poor graphics, not as bad as LCS, but worse than VC on Ps2.

 

Along with poor quality on Ps2 LCS and VCS may have got lost in the release of a new console, Ps3, in 2006. Shiny new HD with smooth frame rates ports to Ps4 might change how LCS and VCS are regarded among Gta titles

They are both underrated game's possibly due to the fact that they are only PlayStation Exclusive titles & were only released on PSP then later ported to PS2

Because it was an exclusive, I didn't play the stories games until this year sadly.

It came right after GTA SA and missed a lot of features that game had. Not to mention it was PSP exclusive until ported to the PS2 much, much later.

The PSP didn't sell well. Like others have said it was also released after the highly anticipated GTA SA, and had to have a lot of features stripped due to the limited hardware of the PSP.
