Dang, beat me too it. Lol. Well, I was gonna say races mind.

 

Walking around the woods near Paleto Bay has it's atmosphere, but there is a ghost on Mount Chilliad in the story mode.

 

This part of RDR2 should be fascinating, the atmosphere and bears etc. They could really play up to all the old ghost stories there too. R* has always had fun nuggets to find in these little worlds they make.

There is the mining tunnels where Michael is lead to during the CG murder mystery, though idk if it is open online.

I believe there is a house somewhere in the hills where you can hear screams at a certain time at night, but again idk if it happens online.

There are also a bunch of other tunnels around the map that I guess can be a bit creepy.

And also lots of underwater spots where you can find all sorts of vehicle wrecks.

If you get 100% completion in Story Mode, three UFOs will spawn around Chilliad and Fort Zancudo (can't remember the stipulations though).

 

 

Want a GTA game with real scare factor? Get San Andreas and take a walk in Back O' Beyond, Shady Creeks, and Area 69.

The swamp around Zancudo. It's haunted by all the tortured souls from the early days of GTA Online - back when the only jet you could get was from there, and whoever had one inevitably guarded the base to stop anyone else from getting one, and feasted on everyone trying.

in the early days of GTA Online.

 

around late 2013/early 2014, the Rhino tank was like the best in the game.

 

and people would drive that thing ALL the way near the eclispe tower apartments because the eclipse towers was a really popular hangout spot and the Rhino tank people would just terrorize the living hell out of everyone there.

 

and back then, there was NOTHING you could do besides leave the game or hide in your apartments.
