Sam0511
So Im pretty new to gta online considering how long the game has been released. Only have been playing for a month or so. After I bought my vehicle warehouse Ive been getting quite a lot of money. But now that Ive bought all the things I need such as buzzard and the Gunrunning business, I wanted to rank up so I could unlock the better vehicle upgrades and weapons like rpg. Im currently lvl 60 and I rely on mostly heists to get rp. Im probably gonna do less vehicle cargo for that. Any suggestions on missions or jobs to do for rp farming? StangOne50
Heists are not good for rp at all. You are better off doing missions. Every week R gives 2x RP and cash on specific modes. Currently its dogfight mode which is not the best for RP but it is double. You can check the newswire here for new updates, usually posted on Tuesdays. https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/ Since you have a buzzard you can set yourself up with a playlist. Id recommend crystal clear out 3. Idk what platform you are on but this is a link to cco3 for ps4. https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/ps4/playlists/playlist/WI14l4OWwUaSvU8PPfhw4Q Edited November 12, 2017 by StangOne50
Spectre "2K"
special cargo gives you a decent chunk of rp for delivering crates iirc, plus you can make back what you spent on the warehouse by selling. Is a bit of a grind though

MechanicMammal
I think the 2x events are a pretty good way, I play maybe 6 hours a week, my 2nd char is a year and a half old is lvl 360 ish but seems to still level quick when doing 2x events, been doing the Dog fighting this week because it pays pretty well and I quite like the turn based stuff as I can do other things around the house and dive in for my runs, I think the best paying match so far has been about 115k payout but normally over 70k, and lots of rp. Missions where you kill lots of enemy npc's are a good way of getting rp also.
MechanicMammal
The fastest way to rank up fast is being fast in races and win them. If you do stunt races with multiple loops you can register loads of overtakes you never make which can ramp up your rp lots have noticed. PwnageSoldier
PwnageSoldier's Guide to Ranking Up Fast and Raking in Butt Tons of GTA$ If you are a low rank, such as anywhere from rank 1 to 25, I suggest VIP work and contact missions inbetween. Depending on what you play, such as me, for my low rank characters I do Sightseer mixed with Chasers I and earn around 32.5k and 3500 RP, which will rank you up from rank 1 to rank 4. These missions are your best friends as a low level, and I suggest buying the Heavy Shotgun, Special Carbine, Combat Pistol, SMG, and Homing Launcher as they will be your best weapons up until your higher level days. When you hit rank 19, buy a Assault SMG and phase out the regular SMG, which will be outdated until MK2 days. Optionally, buy a regular Pump Shotgun at rank 17 as it is more powerful in my opinion than the Heavy Shotgun, but semi auto. If you are a mid rank (rank 25 to 65), I suggest doing tons of MC contracts with friends (assuming you've bought a clubhouse already, which you should have). They pay extremely well with more people and give out lots of RP since you'll be spamming them. During these days I'd focus on buying a CEO office, bunker, MOC and a I/E warehouss which will make you lots of cash and RP. Ditch the Heavy Shotgun from earlier when you hit rank 37 and unlock the Assault Shotgun, which is the best shotgun in the game. When you unlock the Carbine Rifle, continue using the Special Carbine. The Special will remain the best until you unlock Mark 2 weapons (which you could still put a drum mag on it and continue using it). The Combat Pistol will remain the best until you unlock the Pistol MK2, which makes it completely outdated. Ditch the SMG/Assault SMG as soon as you unlock the MG, as it's way better. Invest in a Armoured Kuruma and start using that, as it is one of the best vehicles for grinding. If you are a high rank (rank 65 to 100), well congratulations! You likely own the bunker, MOC and CEO office along with the I/E warehouse, and own MK2 weapons. Phase out all other weapons excluding the Assault Shotgun and the Homing Launcher. Upgrade the regular SMG as it will become way better than the Assault SMG and becomes usable on a motorcycle. As soon as you unlock the Combat MG, start using that instead of the SMG and upgrade it as soon as possible. Do gunrunning, Import/Export and CEO crates and you should rank up fairly well and rake in sh*t tons of cash. Buy a hangar when you can, get a Hydra, Buzzard AC and optionally a Savage/Hunter. Invest in a Insurgent of your choice (unarmed, or the custom pick-up). Unlock the RPG and use that instead of the Homing Launcher, as you can carry more RPGs and reload the launcher faster. If you are the highest ranks out there (rank 100 - 8000), why are you taking advice? You should be rich as hell and got tons of stuff. What I suggest anyways is to save your cash for any valuable DLC vehicles and decide on which to buy. As for ranking up, focus on unlocking the Minigun which unlocks at 120 and 10 armor slots that unlocks at 135, as both are useful. The minigun is great for PvE (helicopters) and extra body armor means you have more time until you have to refill your slots. Get those and you are pretty much set. Continue buying DLC you like and enjoy being a high level! I am currently a rank 124 on my first character, rank 104 on my second, 252 and 254 on LG, and 20, 10, 10, and 10 on NG alts and 8000 (modded, doesn't count), 20, 7, and 4 on LG alts. I am technically rank 610. Edited November 13, 2017 by PwnageSoldier
flexcreator
If you are a low rank, such as anywhere from rank 1 to 25, I suggest VIP work and contact missions inbetween I second VIP work. I was rank 666 somewhat close to Halloween, now I'm about 678, despite I'm not playing that often. It's should be even easier for the low rank players, since less RP is required. One Sightseer will usually fully rank you up until you hit rank 10. Edited November 13, 2017 by PwnageSoldier
