Misa.And.Her.Hubby
I thought knife pass turning should be way faster than rudder turning, but this youtube vid tells a completely different story: So dogfight pros, according to your experiences is rudder turning really faster? ash-274
GTA physics. Also, in real physics, a pure knife turn would cause a loss of altitude unless you use some reverse rudder to keep it, but that would add more drag and slow you down. StangOne50
Yes using rudders should give you a tighter turn. When using the left rudder your plane goes left so using it in a turn should only enhance the turn and make it tighter. But for tight turns even more important than the rudders is your speed control. ash-274
Could be worse: the prop planes could have different turning performance between right and left. WWI radial planes really suffered from that, but even modern single-prop planes have it. I used to play a WWII flight sim and used to bait Spitfires and Mustangs in my Fw190 into turning fights on their weak direction
