stubbyswiss Posted November 9, 2017 Share Posted November 9, 2017 Hey guys. I know this has probably been dealt with, but my frame of mind right now is not one of doing searches. Please forgive. So my PC crashed while rolling back from Win 10 to 7, and I basically had to do a full system restore. Had most of my stuffed backed up to about a month ago, so not too bad. Most of my stuff EXCEPT GTA V stuff!! I have reinstalled Steam and GTA V, and played thru the prologue. My online stuff is all back, but Storymode is pretty much back at New Game status. Is there anything at all I can do to get my saves back, or was everything saved locally? Again, apologies as I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere. Many thanks. Andromeda-J Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 steam and DVD version have different folder locations but unfortunately all are on C:/ drive so tough luck. I always copy user files folder over to secondary drive for back-up. Steam usually keeps the save games in appdata folder inside the folder named as your PC name, save game is in steam folder in there somewhere (i dont know exactly i got DVDs) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
