Maybe buy something crappy before you buy the big dollar item also even though I know you don't need to (just for my OCD). Also I don't know if exiting online is enough or if you would need to reload GTA to clear it. I didn't test that.

Ok since I couldn't get the Taxi glitch to work again... We are going to have to trust in Rockstar that they will fix this on their own without a big glitch inspiring them. The great news is that we can create and avoid this bug at will, so we can easily see when it gets a hotfix. I will be timing them to see how long it takes to fix! .

 

So this is what's happening. If you purchase a vehicle after switching characters, you will pay for it but not receive it, that is 100% certain. NO f*ckING SOUP FOR YOU!! 100% not. That's as simple as this problem is. To avoid it, you can either load the game straight into the character you want to buy something on or.. You can buy something crap, like a rusty rebel.. and then the second vehicle you buy will deliver OK. Somehow Rockstar have noobed out and implemented the Taxi patch into the game not only when you are buying something and money moves.. but also when you switch characters... So there you go, I can't help all the 50 million plus players that are losing cars by the second out there.. But at least you guys on the forum that read this will be ok now and you can get your Hunters in safety. Enjoy...! and start the timer on Rockstars patch.

Good work, so if it skips instantly it also means that you're not getting your order right? I thought it was just the "sold" screen.

if it skipped instantly, you can undo that by closing the app as soon as you can and before you see the orange circle.

Yep it has to skip the red minus money instantly, sometimes it skips the sold section (not sure why) but you still get the car. As far as I'm able to tell the only time this glitch happens is the FIRST vehicle you buy after switching characters. Every time you switch from one character to the other the glitch is re-enabled. I'm not sure if it effects Pegasus vehicles or apartments/other stuff either but it does effect all PV's, everything non pegasus on warstock etc and all special vehicles. Probably pegasus too but I haven't tested that.

This matches my experiance, I bought an insergent when it was on sale with my first charector, and swapped to my seccond and bought one, it never showed up and i didn't pay attention to the screens. I decided to play on and it would show later, it did not.

 

I started a ticked and got the we could not verify. I responded to that message with a descripton and a screen shot of my bank account showing the debit. I was returened the money. I would rather have had the on sale insurgent but better than a kick in the ... well you choose.

elfoam is right on this one, Fun. You can wait half the night if you want, but the game never 'updates itself' to the point where the vehicle is delivered.

 

I think elfoam's tips are best so far. Never buy an expensive vehicle after switching between characters, but buy something insignificant first like Faggio, and then overwrite it with your desired vehilce, just to be sure. If you're still worried about losing your cash when buying a new plane, make sure you end the GTA application and then load it up again on the character you wish to purchase the aircraft. I think that works?

Had this happen the day the Nokota came out, lost $2M the first time when replacing an existing hangar plan, the second purchase worked fine and put it into the slot where the existing plane had been before it disappeared during the first purchase attempt.

 

Can't submit a ticket because it's already all said and done and I didn't record, but hopefully others will be able to be on the lookout for now... along with me on all my future purchases.

rockstar logic is making that if you "pause" the game or open the phone while you sit in your car in the moc storage, it kicks you out of the car. yah, that makes all the sense.

 

 

The amount of minutia that's been changed to get rid of money glitches in this game is truly astounding... and now it's gone from minor game mechanics and annoyances to sizeable bugs that are losing people money

Get rid of money glitches lol There have been hundreds of money glitches during the last 41 updates. Like come on its 4 years old and they only can put bandaid fixes on the game to attempt to temporarily fix money glitches. Hard to blame the players when rockstar allows players to glitch money and doesn't take it away especially after 4 years. At least ea can fix there games 6 months later.

It's practically everything that's ever been changed in the game. Most of them have been annoying bandaids too. Things like getting booted from your car, not being able to drive a car into a mission, removal of high dollar cars from the street, the blue circle that doesn't always load in in front of your garage, not being able to enter the MOC when a car is parked near it, npc cars and people vanishing when you call a PV. The bike rack being inaccessible and unable to be arranged. There's a list of those longer than life itself. Nothing has even been fixed properly, ie in a way that made the game better and more robust, it has always compromised it and made it more broken.

Xb1 here and I was there when they patched it (literally minutes after I filled my last few spaces on my second char with Vigilantes). The last Vigilante purchase was actually a test to see if it really was patched, I bought one over my Hakachu, lost the Hak and never got the Vigilante.

 

I've been buying basically the entire DLC since then and haven't had a problem yet. R* justice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah because you haven't been swapping from one character to another! remember if you do, you wont get the car.

 

 

I've also been very careful. Not because of this bug, I didn't even know about it. But just because I was very eager to see and try out each new toy. So I was buying in invite only sessions, in the hangar, and I was there for each new vehicle to show up.

 

And I stayed far away from taxis lol.

Yes to everything above !, how the bug works is the FIRST vehicle you buy after switch characters you will not receive, 100% never. If you do switch and if you buy something cheap/free (I think free works) then the second one will work no problem. But anyone who uses both characters regularly is going to get hit with this glitch sooner or later if they don't know about it. Public/Invite/anything is all the same by the way.

Nice work bro. I lost 2 cars myself and Im out 1.2 million because R would not refund me. The didnt even ask for proof. They just said they could not verify the purchases and when I sent them proof they just ignored it, ticket is still open.

Now if you could figure out why I am losing my marksman ammo again that would be sweet :oD

Wow man that really sucks they wouldn't refund you, you should save a video whenever something dodgy happens not that you should need to. When there's an ongoing massive bug like this they should refund anyone that asks and just wear it. In fact they should dump 5 million into every account in the game as an apology, any decent human running a decent company would do that. I think you should throw a few more tickets at them now they are aware this is a thing. Hopefully they get off their asses and it gets a hotfix tonight. I'll test it later on and see if it has been.

When I had a Seabreeze go undelivered the first ticket i submitted was a lost item ticket, as you can select the specific vehicle you have lost. That got me absolutely nowhere, ticket was auto closed as solved within 2 hours with not even a name on the response I recieved.

 

After that I Tweeted R* support and submitted a ticket asking for a refund, as it allows you to be less specific. Basically copy/pasted the original ticket and had my 850k back 3 hours later.

 

I never got a refund or reply for the second vehicle I lost, only a Faggio test purchase, but I can only guess R* support cba with 5k claims. I also said in the ticket that I didn't care about the 5k and that I was just highlighting the issue, so that can't have helped.

Sorry to hear that. Sucks to lose any amount of cash. It really seems to be luck of the draw when contacting support.

 

The only time they seem to be even half competent is when dealing with Shark Card problems, and even then I've seen plenty of posts and tweets by players not getting SC money deposited, no one issues chargeback because Sony and MS will ban their accounts.

 

Hope you catch a break and get your money back.
