Vehicles bought not being delivered (current bug)

Happened to me yesterday. Waited 20 minutes before buying another one. Not a loss but still this should be addressed. Guess I wont be buying anything for a minute.

Yeah I had intended to buy a Nokota on every character but having bought about 5 things since last week and having lost 2 out of 5.. I've gone decidedly spending shy. I wont buy anything else until I see no more reports of this happening. the 5 mil plus on my sons account which doesn't have huge amounts of cash hurt. But as the money he does have being made in the MOC I don't think I need Rockstar support in there :0 so for me, I'll just wait it out. Mostly I just posted this up because there are plenty of people around that have 5 million.. spend 5 million and for those guys an undelivered vehicle and the subsequent fight to prove it with support would be heart attack inducing ! . PS, this glitch is probably only effecting systems which had the taxi/mugger glitch patched.

 

Yeah, I bought an ultralight and never showed up. Ripoff. F*ck those assholes.

 

In the meantime, those hypocritical bastards are crowing about all the pure profits they're raking in, from recurrent consumer spending.

I did some reading last night on what the "fix" looked like. You get a notification but no vehicle is ever delivered. It's completely clear that the fix is also working on non glitching purchases. The glitch worked on PS4/Xone/PS3 and 360. PS4 and Xone got the patch so they are the ones not getting deliverys. PC should be unaffected. PS3 and 360.. Doubt they will ever get the patch but everyone there has billions anyway so it's just PS4/X1.

Not that I have any immediate vehicle purchases in mind, but I will be sure to wait awhile, before I do decide to.

 

Also, as far as I'm aware, with the recent taxi ride "glitch", it wasn't actually a means of "forcing" (as with dupes and many other previous glitches) the game to do something it wasn't supposed to, and you had to have at least the amount of money that the vehicle cost, to begin with.

 

Still, the rush to patch, always seems to cause other problems as a recourse...

Had another vehicle undelivered last night. I've started replacing my Faggio as a cheap test purchase before I buy what I actually want.

 

Faggio purchased, money taken, got the alert, after 10 mins I knew it wasn't coming. Went to the garage it was to be delivered to, the Faggio I replaced was gone.

 

I've put in another ticket, don't care about the 5k at all, but this really needs fixing. There is no way I'm going to risk spending 3.1m on the Hunter if it's likely not to be delivered.

 

On PS4, and again, I'm completely glitch and dupe free.

For all you guys that have fairly clean accounts, that is a way that might get this sorted, put in endless tickets for cheap cars you don't get . Even on accounts with around 100 million like I have, dropping 5 mil on things you don't get is a big hit. Only need to do that 20 times and you are bankrupt and even still a large amount of that is legit earnings so it still hurts. I haven't bought anything on any account since this bug became apparent but I really want that Hunter.. it's going to be risky though.

That's what I'm going to do. Every time I play I'm buying a new Faggio, 5k is nothing to anyone, save the video, every time it doesn't get delivered I'll put in another ticket.

 

I've never duped or glitched, only have 1.9m of car sales as I rarely sell what I buy and my second character is still sat on level 120 with only farmed Sandkings in the garages.

 

Edit. Yeah, I'm on 73m but I still don't want to lose 3.1m. The time I've been putting into the grind for the next update has been unreal recently, that's over 10 hours wasted.

I'm 2 out of 5 but I thought I must have just been especially unlucky. If the odds are really that bad then this is terrible. I'll buy 20 faggios later and see how many I get.

without going into details, you freeze your money for like 5 seconds and purchase a vehicle at the same time.

I bought the Nokota with no issues though.

 

 

-So everyone, as far as I saw, the bug happens when you don't see a 'Vehicle Sold' screen, I might be wrong though since I haven't experienced this bug, if that's actually the case and the game just skips without giving you that "Vehicle Sold" screen, turn your app off immediately before the game starts saving the purchase.

If we can spot something different then you're right closing the app quickly will be a work around. It was an interesting glitch because it was using a problem in the games code that has been there since launch but went all this time before being discovered.

yeah, I was interested in seeing the fix for this one, it is a weird glitch, anyways, see if you can review your videos, if the game skips that screen, one can tell when the sale is bugged and closing the app will prevent any money loss as the game won't save the bugged purchase.

I'll buy 20 faggios later and see how many I get.

It will be interesting to see whether if the first purchase works all following purchases work in that session or whether the opposite happens and once one purchase doesn't come through no other purchases will.

 

I kind of hope this is the case. If it is completely random there is no point doing small "test" purchases as they don't affect the probability of the next purchase working or not.

 

By the look of R* support Twitter they have quite a problem with this issue.

Just checked my emails, my ticket regarding the Faggio loss last night has been closed, despite providing a video of the whole purchase process, from turning on the PS4 to failed delivery and empty garage slot where the Faggio I replaced should have been, because they could not "verify my loss".

 

I even said in the email it's not about the 5k or Faggio, that I just wanted to highlight what is happening because the same can and has happened on much larger purchases.

Ok, I'll tell you what I know so far.. edit edit :0, spawned into the hanger, bought a rusty rebel and it wasn't delivered.. The good news is you can tell when it's going to happen. You still get a delivery if you don't see the sold come up but when that whole screen instantly closes, you wont be getting anything. I'm off to do more of Rockstars work for them now with more testing and reviewing my now three videos.

I better delete this in case this can be developed into a major money glitch. I have discovered the cause of the bug however.. or at least how to avoid it. I'll post that soon after I've tested if it can be made into a money glitch.

Had this happen with a Franken Stange on the 3rd or 4th. I purchased a dukes afterwards arrived, but the Stange didn't arrive. I purchased a second Stange and it showed up. The fight with support was not fun. Doubt I'll be purchasing for a bit.

If I can get the freeze money glitch working again, they will fix the bug first thing next week. I'll report back in an hour or so. If that wont work well I'll just tell you how to avoid the bug (and also then rockstar will know how to fix it for whenever they decide to give a sh*t about it)

Ok since I couldn't get the Taxi glitch to work again... We are going to have to trust in Rockstar that they will fix this on their own without a big glitch inspiring them. The great news is that we can create and avoid this bug at will, so we can easily see when it gets a hotfix. I will be timing them to see how long it takes to fix! .

 

So this is what's happening. If you purchase a vehicle after switching characters, you will pay for it but not receive it, that is 100% certain. NO f*ckING SOUP FOR YOU!! 100% not. That's as simple as this problem is. To avoid it, you can either load the game straight into the character you want to buy something on or.. You can buy something crap, like a rusty rebel.. and then the second vehicle you buy will deliver OK. Somehow Rockstar have noobed out and implemented the Taxi patch into the game not only when you are buying something and money moves.. but also when you switch characters... So there you go, I can't help all the 50 million plus players that are losing cars by the second out there.. But at least you guys on the forum that read this will be ok now and you can get your Hunters in safety. Enjoy...! and start the timer on Rockstars patch.
