So besides the regular modder horsesh*t they do, as of recently they've been crashing my game. It's been a recent trend ever since halloween and it's happened almost everyday now. It annoying and it f*cks with my GTA 5 and makes everything jacked up when I reload in.

Is there a way to combat this? Some settings I can change that might stop them from being able to crash my game like the scum they are?

You can block certain Ports to block anyone from joining your session, I don't know the details as I'm on Xbox, but I'm sure one of the PC veterans will help you.

Yeah other than port blocking, there's not much else.

Given all the crap us console players get about pc being the master race, I'm sure it'll all work out.

 

You could try reporting those you discover messing with you, but R* seems to have random ban fests on PC....so yeah.

It's kinda hard to figure out who they are, and you can't when they crash your game.

I don't know. Recently i've been playing full sessions pretty often and i didn't meet so much of cheaters.
Like yeah, im not talking like "it was 100% cheaters free" but i didn't meet anything like taking guns away or crashing games (thanks god, this is so annoying).
But still, saw a couple of god mode users, 1-shot scrip or something and a boi who explodes the whole session.

Yesterday, out of 5 sessions, 3 had script kiddos, various kind of interference(mostly session-wide explosions that count as PvP death...)

 

The 2 sessions without script kids were lowly populated, I was votekicked from both lol, but its another problem.

Cmon, It's not a "recent" feature. There is no "V3", just a same old story.

R* could potentially fix it on their side, since modders are most likely exploiting the game bug. However, they will never do it, despite all the information provided to their support team.

 

So no, you can't combat this exact thing. Get used to it or play in solo public sessions.

Oh modders crashing people games? We don't care were currently fixing money glitch #3,069. Incompetent rockstar pretending nothing is wrong with yet again another one of there multiplayer games.

Ah Yes... There was someone with a menu who felt kinda proud until I started talking to him saying that any dimwit can use a menu and real modders actually take pride in their work and do them for the Singleplayer. They're nothing more than some Basement dwellers throwing some code around (I know there's more to it, but I wanted to trigger him). He got pissed and crashed my game. Friend was still in session, so I rejoined and continued my speech.

 

Sometimes I am really tempted to have my own menu just to f*ck with those people.

In all honesty: Rockstar handles this piss poor. It's like they don't care at all

Can they spawn in Single Palyer Characters? Because one time when I split my session my Buzzard locked on to something in the streets. I investigated and saw it was Trevor Philips. I kicked his ass and stomped on his head a few times for good measure.

 

Then I spotted Michael and accidentally blew him up. Shame I never found Simeon or Ron...

One site mentionned about 30 reports, can't remember if its N*** or D3****. But it was a pinned thread on their forum. They also adviced to not use the recovery options(like clearing reports).

 

Well...no; I'm tired to report, I'm not R* beta-tester.

Yes it does work sometimes BUT it'll just trigger the anti-cheat to act on you and you might get flagged or worse, get banned for it.

If you do get reported, just let it be. Try to go with whom you trust next time or be much more discreet and restrain yourself.

Ironic part is the only way to "fight" crashing and such was to get a mod menu of your own and fire up protex mode on it, which most mod menus had before T2 tried shutting OpenIV down.

Modders in GTA:Online is bad

Unfortunately mods are a double edged sword. Mods in singleplayer games are ok. People abusing mods in online games is bad. They are either going to have to make a properly working anti mod online/anti cheat or they will take the dumb route and actually make mods not possible to use and enforce it. Sad they have this many multiplayer games and still can't fix the "modding" issue in them. GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, I think there an issue in Max Payne 3, Gta online. Like come on rockstar you made billions off your games and you care so little about the games. Hope they use something other than peer to peer and have a proper anti cheat in rdr2 unless they want people abusing mods in there 5th multiplayer game.

I wish this was true, but abandon all hopes. You can get banned free menu users, but best of the paid ones are untouchable. Nul-something for example.

Btw there was a banwave on desking ~week ago (another one lol), but i'm sure it had nothing to do with reports.

Me and my friends were wrecking an MC noobgang and we kept wrecking and killing them.

And then... we 3 got kicked out of the session and we got the impression that MC noobgang were using a mod menu to kick others without votekicks.

But here is the thing: we won the battle The only losers are those pussies using a mod menu to kick players out of the session and or crashing players.

Rest assured, it felt good we kicked those cheaters their ass.

What system are these Modders on?

 

On ps4 there's fewer than a dozen, as there isn't a exploit with a end user interface that's publicly available for the mainstream Modders to use?

 

But the worrying thing is, one of the exploits which devs were using has been released. So will be a month before a end user interface appears.

 

And all mods available on PS3 will also be available on ps4.

 

Ie the death of gta online for the PS4.
