GTA IV on X Box One X

I was playing IV on my new console and it looks and plays the best I have seen it anywhere without mods. I don't have a way to measure but it seems I was hitting close to 60 fps. If anybody has one I highly suggest they try IV and RDR on it.

That's cool to hear. I've been considering getting the X (yes, even though I already have a PC) and was curious about how GTA IV runs, as other 360 games like Metal Gear Rising have improved performance over even the regular One. I'm hoping Digital Foundry uploads an FPS analysis sometime this week.

 

I wonder why the 360 version of IV has an unlocked framerate, though. It almost never goes above the 20-30 range on the original hardware unless you're indoors or in empty places like the docks/airport/etc.
