I'd be stoked, but yet to see it happen.

 

To be honest, besides the crazy prices of things, I am pretty happy with online how it is right now. Cool races, good jobs and fun with the crew, it's all good.

The only "content" I want to see released is private lobbies where you can do business.

Friendly fire off lobbies for people who just want to hang out.

The removal of map icons and hud for PvP lobbies as an option.

 

Would make actually playing the game fun again, whether you just wanted to explore or fight other players.

 

If they added the missing cars from GTA IV, updated signature cars from San Andreas, added the ability to use boat trailers and tow things with pickups beyond that stupid AA trailer, all the missing tuning options from existing cars, fixed the blaring issues with existing cars like hitboxes, handling, etc, added more houses and interiors, and all the other crap people want.

 

Would probably start playing the game regularly again, and recommending it to people who don't have it...

I'd say this is impossible; we all want and expect different things within the game. One person's pleasure is another person's misery and vice versa. They would actually have to take away things that have been added in order to satisfy me, but eh, that is likely to never happen.

After going through a bunch of old posts and conversations with now-AWOL friends (over two years' worth, from players who went from 'die-hard fans' to 'quit out of frustration'), there's still so much untapped potential in this game - and while it remains untapped, in favour of the same formula being worn down into a fine power, the more cynical I am about the state of similar R* offerings in future.

Frankly, if R* did a 'massive wish-fulfillment update', there's so much more interesting and meaningful stuff that players have been suggesting (for years, even!), that it wouldn't just be 'nice to have' - it'd probably go a long way towards expanding the scope of the game, beyond 'buy an expensive property, deliver ____amount of things in Freemode, buy super-expensive gimmick vehicles, etc.' yet again.
