How do you view your online friends IRL?

Considering how my two virtual friends are more social than my actual real friends, pretty f*cking great.

 

I mean seriously, I got one who's convinced herself she's a boy, got super angry at me because I took 5 days off to let her cool down, with no communication in between. We're no longer on speaking terms.

 

Then I got one who only speaks to me during the dead end hours of the day, so we stopped talking altogether.

 

Third friend is a snob, and acts like he's too good to hang out, or he has no time, which he does, he just uses that to choke his chicken.

 

So in reality? These people that I have never met once, are pretty stand up guys. One is from the UK, and is the best player I've ever met, talks competitive game, and is a good sport. And the other is German, barely speaks a lick of English, but he puts together somewhat comprehensible sentences.

 

If there's one thing I like about online gaming, besides playing with other, like minded, good people like yourself, it's meeting pretty great people who don't play with fidget spinners, and yells "gang!" and the N word every single party they're in.

 

*Edit* just realized I still counted those 3 as friends. Not anymore.

Last week I found out a friend I've been playing with since PS3 was a female irl and been calling her "dude" "man" "bro" and she played with a Male character so I was shocked, not who I pictured/assumed them to be

Well, exept for two people in my crew, I dont even know if they are male or female (to be fair i dont really care about that) so imagineing how they look is nearly impossible. Nobody of them knows a lot about me either. In fact the only thing they know about me is that I am a guy from germany and I persoanlly plan to keep it that way.

I play with mainly young kids as the old ones always sound very bored and no excitable by anything. We chat on Line app the the kids really look up to me as I teach them values.

high level good player = nerd with glasses

mid level average player = regular person

mid level sh*t player = cool guy, probably vapes and 420s

low to mid level with chrome car = small child

low to mid level with all the expensive content = rich guy or a child with mom's credit card

griefer = lonely person

tryhard kd whore = autistic

The moment they get killed and their K/D ratio drops:

 

 

Anyway, I view some friends of mine as f*cktards and just a couple of them are cool.

 

For example, this one guy, a level 211

K/D ratio 0.71 'Its ok not everybody wants to grief' But this guy simply is on a while new level. I don't think he knows how to use auto-aim in auto-aim lobbies which says a lot. During missions he's about as awful against AI.

 

- During his own objectives, lets say he has to transport air cargo, he will crash and lose money

If he has to protect said cargo, he'll crash, not provide backup so cargo will get destroyed.

 

- f*cks up just about anything

 

- Can't ride bikes because he crashes all the time, yet uses no other transport then bikes

 

- Can't do anything correct other then playing a bullet sponge

 

- Is always short on cash

 

I see him as:

 

 

Got like three friends which are cool, they do their jobs. I always imagine them as old dogs smoking sigars while dressed in a propper dog suit.

And a fourth who's simple combat addicted. Doesn't care about his K/D, but simply kills whatever he sees.

I have about one friend online. And he's a moron. He's one of those guys who paints everything blue chrome and gold, buys every new vehicle just because they're now the most expensive thing in whatever category, uses them, hates them, and keeps them anyway just to show how rich he is ingame. Always has the duffel bag on and some sort of invisible body part, and if someone bumps into his car he spends the next twenty minutes trying to kill them. He goes in voice chat and starts yelling about how he's making so much money working at oil refineries, how he's going to buy a Challenger Hellcat, how every woman he meets wants him.

 

He's real annoying. But he's my friend, and I've run through all the heists with him, we've gone up through the levels together, when he's in a plane I'll be his wingman, when he's got an APC I'll be his gunner, I got his back and he's got mine. For all his bluster and boasting and nonstop bullsh*t, he's my friend. I put up with his mother screaming at him in Punjabi and his fake personality, he puts up with me droning on about how actually there were only four Bugatti type 37SC Atlantics, and that Jay Leno's example is the one that got hit by a train and rebuilt, and so the Z-type should be much more expensive and so on and so on. It works.

 

Online friends are about the same as the ones you see physically, day to day. And I view them about the same.

I don't really have online friends (that I met through gaming). Sure, I have a friend list on Xbox, but its made up mostly of people who I helped in a heist, a sale or something & we never met again.
