Unfortunately this plane is one of the worst ones they've added. Didn't live up to its hype at all. It looks and sounds cool but it's performance is trash.

I love it, its my bounty hunter now. I guess I could use another aircraft as a bounty hunter but i like using a WW2 fighter to collect the bounties of unsuspecting victims....It totally makes sense. Shut up! :p

I believe Rockstar made a mistake or Oversight regarding its handling data.
Each vehicle has certain handling flags, one of them being "rear wheel steering". I haven't looked yet, but it feels as if they forgot to do that, hence the weird behavior on ground.

Edit: Took a look and yep. Rear wheel steering is not enabled. And I also noticed that the wheels clip through the geardoors when retracted. C'mon Rockstar!

Mogul is the same. Crabs all over the place on the visibly fixed main gear, while the tail wheel doesn't move at all. Sounds like an easy fix though...

Oh and about the wheel not moving: that's another thing. Rockstar disables the steer animation in almost all planes on purpose (See Lazer, Seabreeze, Pyro, etc). But it's animation only, not the actual steering effect. Why do they do this? That, I cannot answer.

Really? I'm sure the Duster tail wheel steers; will have to check later.

Really? I'm sure the Duster tail wheel steers; will have to check later. That might be. The Titan and 747 Jet for example have steering front wheels, whereas Shamal, Cuban and Lazer do not.

All vehicles have steering enabled by default, it has to be disabled on purpose, so that's definitely not an oversight.

I think you're forgetting a few planes. Like the Bombushka. That was wayyyyyyy worse than this.

This is the best plane imo.

Pretty sure the front wheel steering issue is at least partly to blame for the Nokota's penchant for tipping over if you turn too fast on the ground; I really hope they address this.

I doubt they'll ever fix it. There a lots of things in the game that could be fixed by changing a few lines of code at most.

You still can't paint the Torero's interior.

One of the back lights on the Casco has a typo, which means it never lights up. This could be fixed by changing 2 letters.

Etc.

If this ever gets fixed, it will be a miracle.

The Bombushka wasn't meant to be a dogfighter. It does what it's supposed to do which is take out targets from long range with its cannon. It can do damage in the right hands. However the Nokota is supposed to be a dedicated fighter plane but it lacks the weaponry and firepower to make up for its mediocre handling. It barely beats the hydra in a dogfight, even worse handling than the Seabreeze.

I think you're using it wrong. I've shredded hydras and lazers with it. The only thing better is maybe the pyro.

I play mostly everyday and I still haven't seen a bombushka in free mode lobby, even when it first came out lol DEFINITELY never seen it reign terror on anyone. I would agree that plane is the worst of SR so far.

With the Nokota I've been terrorizing lobbies and having so much fun dogfighting. I can't claim to be amazing at it yet as I didn't find too much fun in planes until I bought the Molotok (Hydra was good for PvE but I never got into dogfights with it). I can take out hydras no problem with my Nokota.

Those Oppressors seem to get the better of me in my Nokota though. They chase me, fly up and spam missles, I either Dodge or use counter measures then turn and wait for a lock then fire, typically my missles fly right by him. I end up flying away cause I can't hit him or one of those spammed rockets eventually hits me. Any advice?

I have a bombushka and use it from time to time... Bombushka is all about having friends man the turrets and go to war... :) It's NOT a solo-plane...

Wrt the Nokota... Damn I LOVE it... apart from it erratic behaviour on Maze bank... Today it did the same thing.. Stall after vertical climb to maze bank top, then I land nice and easy on it... and the damn thing burries its rotor again... and no way to get the tail down, so the rotor stops hitting the ground... It's just stuck and won't let its tailsection lower... Strange... I need a different approach to this or the rearwheel induced erratic behaviour is to blame, which they'll hopefully fix...

The Nokota really surprised me today, eheh.. I just left my hangar at Zancudo and was just flying hundred feet or so over the hills towards Los Santos, and our mailman hit the doorbell for a delivery.. Had to be quick, or these guys leave you a note to fetch your package two days later in the postal office... So I just said : ''f.. it', I let loose of the controls ( in straight vertical horizontal flight) and let it crash.. I'll pay Insurance and I'll recall it later..

When I got back after three minutes.. the Nokota was still in the air flying in a wide circular movement, with NO intent of taking a nosedive whatsoever...

I was like 'WOW!'... Great plane... :)

They gave it the "hands off" handling that few planes (outside the Vestra) have. My willpower to wait for a sale on the Nakota is wavering! :*(

I would love to see some people in a bombushka lol I would even do my best to protect it (so long as they don't shoot at me) so I can see it actually get some kills.

On topic: my favourite thing to do is fly straight up, cut the engine and just glide, I almost always find a spot to land after a good 2 mins or so of serenity in the air.

Is the nokota any better than the rogue? Been contemplating buying it.

If you're on a budget and don't consider yourself a collector, then probably not. Rockstar were really generous for releasing the Rogue at a decent price before the dripfeed nonsense took hold, plus it has a bomb bay, which the Nokota does not. I'm loathe to say the Rogue is a superior plane but it's cheaper and has extra weaponry, so you decide.

There's something really stylish, nostalgic and beautiful about the design and feel of the Nokota though, and for those of us that can afford it it's absolutely unmissable.

BTW. WWII fighter planes do not have homing launchers, but hey, this is GTA online 2017 fantasy.

What really makes the rogue for me is the explosive cannons, been having loads of fun tearing up Hydra greifers. Although, if the nokota can make tighter turns I may pick one up for when I come across a skilled lazer pilot.

Save your money. The Nokota can't make tighter turns than the Rogue can, in fact it makes wider turns than the Rogue.

Do yourself a favor, Ash... Hit the 'buy it now' button... It's an entertaining plane, but even more.. what a looker... :-) It certainly looks better than a pile of fake GTA-cash..;-)
