It's okay when you go one vs one or maybe even two vs two with friends. I'll never play that AM in a full lobby with random people though ...

If anyone cares, I'll be making a LTS shaped around this. I'll list a Nokota version, a Pyro version, and a Molotok version.

If you guys want, I'll make a Tula and Starfly version (and others)

 

(these are PS4 only, so if a XB1 or PC player wants to copy the idea, I'll post a video of the finished project as a sample)

Tried the Dogfight Adversary Mode...

 

And honestly, what the actual f*ck did R* think when they made this?

Seriously.

You take rounds... ROUNDS... on when you can dogfight someone. This aint no team deathmatch-dogfight kinda stuff... Nonono, this is like a 1v1 deathmatch with extra steps.

And everyone thinks that it sucks, so it always ends up that people leaves...

 

 

To the dev who said Go on this adversary mode... I hope you get your office coffee shoven up your arse.

In reply to this, if anyone's on PS4, I made an LTS with the P-45 Nokota, as of how it should've been.

Damn it lol, but I'm pretty sure he isn't a PS4 player, right? I'm probably wrong.

All of the other SR planes in the creator come only armed with a MG and can't have stuff fixed on it anyway, so I could create a Molotok, Pyro, Starfly and such dogfight w/o sh*tty missle spam. Regardless if he made it already I'll still likely make mine since I'll make them differently :D

Awesome! We should make a playlist of the jobs we release!

 

I'm doing this idea of these jobs in form the adversary modes do it; I, II, III, etc.

 

The first one, Aerial Domination I, is going to have two groups of Nokotas taking off from waterborne piers in the Pacific near the LS docks.

The second one, Aerial Domination II, is going to have a group of Pyros taking off from one side of LSIA while the other takes off from the other side.

The third one, Aerial Domination III, is going to have a group of Molotoks taking off from Sandy Shores AF while the other group takes off from Mckenzie AF.

The fourth one, Aerial Domination IV, is going to have a group of Starflys taking off from a mountain on a makeshift runway while the other takes off on the other side of said mountain.

The fifth one, Aerial Domination V, is going to have a group of Tulas taking off from a beachhead in Paleto while the other takes off from the beach off of the Alamo Sea (Sandy Shore's side)

The possible sixth one, Aerial Domination VI, might have one Bombushka taking off from (?), while another takes off from (?). It's all up to the gunners then. (will require 4-8 players)

 

Any additional ones might be made with normal aircraft and new additions (looking at you Hunter).

Ok, good to know. I'll have to think of something else.

 

EDIT: We could make a public document about these jobs and their progress and list the link here. Then after we're done, we delete the document, and update the post to say "All work is finished, here are the links:". Might be a cool idea

Well, actually it's not that bad. Not the worst Adv mode.

It's like the dogfight that you could have in a freeroam. What did you expect guys?

 

The fact that only two players are in a fight is also good. Because otherwise the strongest pilots will constantly fly in circles and pick the weakest players who don't know any defensive maneuvers <- THIS would turn into a rocket spam. The one you saw in a recent CTF with jets adv mode (can't remember the name).

 

In a 2 player dogfight you can't simply rely on using circles and shooting if you have a decent opponent. You have to manipulate the speed and altutide and / or lure an enemy into a crash - same things you do in a freeroam PvP. Rockets or machineguns - it doesn't really matter, it's not about weapons, it's about positioning youself.

Finally met a good opponent.

 

This little guy was flying almost flawlessly, his only mistakes were either punished by canon salvo or by a crash.

When you meet good opponents and go for a 1 v 1 it's a great way to test your skills.

 

Great AM when played with people with (rather) equal skills.

The pyro is a master here, Molotok feels soooo heavy and painfully sluggish.

Every air battle in history as been fought just like GTAO 'Dogfight'.

Opponents never took off from separate bases and hunted each other.

They always met at a single runway and took turns 'dueling pistols'/jousting 1v1

 

Srsly. I saw maybe two players actually end up at altitude and dog fighting.

I didn't even bother sticking around for my turn.

I have had several loading issues with this mode. I was assuming it was caused by players leaving. However, it appears to be just the match making bugs.

it's kinda funny how the team with less players has the advantage because they have less cannon fodder to lose points

I played this today because I saw this thread. Normally adversary modes are ignored.

 

The turn by turn system takes all the air out of things; just like it did in Bombushka Run. An adversary mode most of you probably already forgot about because that's how weak and temporary Rockstar's efforts are these days. Players should've been able to compete all at once like you can in Stockpile.

 

Usually dedicated game modes are better and more fleshed out than their freeroam equivalent, but this isn't one of em. One could have the same amount of fun, if not more, just having a normal dogfight in free roam.

its very buggy on PC a lot of freezing after you kill an opponent dont know if its the same for anybody else on PC but but it happens almost every game i try to play

This is one of the worst Adversary modes ever made

I only played one round and after the third guy... freeze on the flashy screen. Had to restart the game and decided to not touch that garbage again.

f*cking sucks it is the only double money for this week

I had this flashing screen bug.

2 rounds game, 5 turns, I was supposed to play in 2nd and 5th turn.

 

Never had any problem on the 5th turn for both rounds, but when it was time to face the guy in 2nd turn, got the screen flash, my character standing in the middle of Zancudo runway, ...

Waiting for the timer to expire is the right solution. Listen to the beeping sound saying it's about to end and you obtain a tie.

Yeah it's nearly unplayable on PC. The first to rounds work normal (aka the first four people can play) and afterwards the game corrupts and everybody is standing on the runway in jesus pose while the timer runs out for the other three rounds.

Its also funny how one team can loose and the other team wins when botu teams have equal points.

Its a sh*tshow on the level of rhino hunt.

It would have been so fun to have a non-rockets dogfight mode with a huge amount of players on screen at once, taking each other one using nothing but cannons and machine guns.
