Is the queue broken on CG?

I been on ps4 for 11 months and I have never not once been told by the game there is a spot in the lobby and given me an option to join it.

 

It asks me if Id like to go into the queue and thats it. It has never worked for me.

 

Has anyone ever successfully joined a lobby through the queue?

Never worked for me. Once I was in the queue, 10 mins later I successfully joined the session, 2 mins later it told me I was still in a queue to join the session (I was now in anyway).

The whole system is f*cked.

The game should never take you from a lobby you are in to tell you the next one is full and send you to another lobby. This is the dumbest sh*t.

It should check first if there is a spot in the lobby then reserve that spot before taking you out of yours.

All true. Same with starting a job that needs 4 players. I always wait 10 seconds after player 4 has joined before starting, in case they leave. Even with this, sometimes they leave before readying up, so game kicks everyone back to free mode. Why couldn't the remaining three of us return to the lobby screen?

Its been broken as long as it ever existed for me lol. Sometimes its worked, but more often than not there's been BS in my experience - sometimes not being told there's a spot, sometimes only getting told once that person you're tying to join is long gone, etc.

Never worked for me even tho it always spams "you're still in queue to join a full lobby".

This feature has actually just worked for the first time ever, kind of. 

 

I was told session was full, joined the queue, meanwhile I was put in another session. Five mins later my friend started a job, instead of inv to job I got a black screen and message saying:

 

There is a slot available in the GTA online session you are currently queueing for. Would you like to join?
