Just But the Damm Buzzard

I researched the word - Buzzard - and did not find any thread about Buzzard, so to not be accused of necro anymore, here goes a post about it

I had the cash, either for Buzzard or Savage and spent 2 days reading posts and opinions and youtube videos about one or the other, was going mad, because amongst many factors the new explosive resistance of the Savage is making quite a difference

I have never been so undecided about an purchase

I got a paper sheet and wrote down several scenarios and pictured each chopper performing on them - Smugler mission, MC Supply stealing, Cruising freeroam, Dogfight, Escaping police, etc, etc, etc

Well, the price also matters, but there was not much doubt left - Enter the Buzzard and I started using it right away, with great joy and not a single regret

My friends, even considering all possible scenarios, do not think twice, the B it is... Money well spent and very game-changing

Save the Savage spending for when you are finally a millionaire and want secondary plays, it will not make you happy so fast and will let you down more times

What is the point of standing to an explosion when you are going to get more than one homming when it happens ??? The B can dodge them, the S nopes, simple as that

The Buzzard is the beast for complete satisfaction

I never read about this but when you get to a mission this chopper locks into enemy NPCs that are on foot and you can rocket them out of the map, saving cash on regular ammo, and still do it from an distance away from their bullets range

Forget the machineguns, but if you fire one rocket at a time and not both at once you will not notice any cooldown, when the second is blasting the first is already alive to shoot

All the marvels told about this chopper are true and you feel them happening every.minute you use it, comparing how slow and bad the Savage would perform on those particular moments

Of course my decision was made by knowing Im covered already by the Rogue on the Bombing/Dogfight/Bountyhunt/Anti-hidras gameplays

If you rent the apartment closest to the Marina Pegasus will deliver your boats at your doorstep, and whenever you call the Buzzard or other flying craft as special vehicle they will always spawn one block away at the same beach spot, you just need to ride one block to that spot and ask for it, takes 5 seconds to be airborne

The Buzzard is definitly a game changer and by anyones definition is a must-have specially if you are grinding missions. Its fast and practical as it can be spawned at your feet if you are a CEO.

BUT, as soon you get the hang of flying helis and dodging misseles, you will probably realize that the Buzzard will never hold its own against a Savage because it is such a killing machine and very satistying to fly around and defend yourself if you know what you are doing (I recommend watching Happy Hunters videos to get an idea of the destructive potential of this heli). Of course all of this will change once the Hunter is released, as it will be the king of the skies, nothing can beat a flying death machine with flares/chaff

You are probably right regarding the Hunter and is one more reason not to buy the Savage and go for the B and save to get the Hunter later on

But I still think the Savage always needs a lucky shot to work against the Buzzard

As soon as the Buzzard starts swinging away from locking and firing rockets the Savage will be in deep trouble

Anyway, as I said, if it comes to sky battles and dogfights, the Rogue is king, it dodges hydras missiles or homming just by climbing vertical with no stall and saving flares, also money very well spent, it is the Hawk of the sky and fears noone, changing heights in lightning speed

Having the Rogue I do not ferl the need for the Hunter, choppers are for missions or avoiding havoc and not for sky battles

Yes I guess you are right about saving the money for a Hunter instead of buying a Savage, but when it comes to S x B I dont know man, the Savage can spam missiles and can climb faster than the Buzzard, you can easily attack from above, so I guess the Savage still have the upper hand, specially because of the explosive cannons

Edit: yes the Rogue is an amazing plane indeed! I have one myself as well but I still fly the helis way more often

The spamming is a temptation, and contrary to what people think, it is just 3% slower than the Buzzard on cruising speed, saw many youtube tests

I also suck on cannons yet, so do not value them so much but.many people can take advantages on them

Unless the Hunter comes with a huuuuge price tag, like 4 Mil or plus, it will be the future choice, I used it on the blowing jammers hangar source mission, feels good and is just beautifull, but it turns slow and not tight

Not sure if mentioned but you can also spawn buzzard next to you when you're ceo

Edit: was just skimming through so not sure if it was mentioned

I heard about it and it seams to spawn exactly next to you wherever you are, but for what I know, if you do not buy one, it will get you an unarmed version, only giving you an armed Buzzard if you bought one, I can be wrong, please someone correct me if so

I always use MC President so I keep getting regular system deliveries for the Buzzard, except for my special bike chosen form the Club garage

Yeah the CEO Buzzard is the biggest advantage to owning one. I haven't called Pegasus for an aircraft in years.

Do you get the armed version ?

Is it because you own you own Buzzard or it would deliver an armed version anyway ???

The one you call via CEO Vehicles is armed and it's free to spawn if you own one, $25,000 each time if not.

I wish the CEO havok came equipped with weapons too :(

I'm so glad I never spent money on the savage. I always wanted one but refused to pay anything more than the trade price and I never managed to finished the heist requirements cause they annoy me (people leaving, trolling, etc.).

Got the money for a hunter set aside already so hopefully with that, along with the buzzard I still won't feel the need for a savage.

The Savage can dodge missiles. Yes, it´s harder to do, but you get the hang of it. You should anyways fly the Savage with as much cover as possible and don´t rely only on the explosive resistance. Come out of cover and kill your target with a quick burst of the cannon.

I have both, use the savage more often, but would still go for a buzzard first. Even with the hanger the savage spawns a fair distance away, so its not as useful as transportation. I do bunker and hanger missions solo, so spawning the buzzard at your feet is a game changer. The explosive canon makes the savage the better choice for free roam fighting (see gif above), but that canon doesnt have the range to be all that useful against npcs. Spam missiles are nice, but the buzzard missiles work just as well, just take a little more time. Ill echo the statement above, for free roam combat neither are very good, so if thats why u want a savage, u really want a rogue/hydra/starling/...fixed wing. It remains to be seen how good the hunter will be in free roam. I dont think barrage will be as deadly as the explosive canon (assuming youre solo) but the countermeasures might even the score. Also, its handling is supposedly MUCH better after upgrades, so dont be put off by its stiff, rudderless maneuvering. Go for a buzzard, also get a rogue, and save for the hunter, unless a crazy sale comes along. I got my savage at 35% off...
