One thing I don't get about cargo warehouses

Thanks. Already bought all the upgrades except the jammer one because I'm not sure how important it is to have since I'm mostly playing in empty sessions. I sw videos of people pretty much crashing and then getting back up in the air with the upgraded armour, so yeah, that one looks like a must have. Anyway, good to know, gonna fill my both warehouses before Jesus was born.

Yea, I too skipped the Jammer, I handle business solo so no point getting it for me.

 

Yes, the armor does buff the resistance to crashes dramatically.

I told myself I'd never do crates again lol, after getting the gold trophy. But what IceDree said about there possibly being a bonus some time - that kind of stuck in the back of my head, and now I've gone and collected 4 batches of 3 crates today. Going to fill up two large warehouses over time.

 

If there's a bonus, I'll make a load of money, with no rushed, extreme grinding. If not, I still make some money anyway.

 

Absolutely brutal grind though. I will have to do it slowly.

Cargo warehouses are weird that way. No one tells us to grind them but we do it anyway. Magic.

I’ve been doing stealing one crate at a time, between my two medium warehouses while my bunker stock goes up and up.

 

Probably get them both full by Christmas.

 

 

I have a question regards to the upgrades - I’ve probably earned between $5m and $10m selling full warehouses over the years without purchasing any upgrades. They’re so expensive I would rather take the risk. The only missions I have lost out on are the flying ones.

 

What upgrades have you purchased and which do you think are necessary? Reading about the planes, those upgrades sound like a good idea.

 

 

Any more experience with people tricking the session to avoid the flying missions, by selling a single crate from a small warehouse? Sounds interesting.

Add armor to everything. The Planes get godmode, the Tug can take all the punishment NPCs can give (and even a few player's missiles), and the Brickade needs it.

 

The Radar-Jammer only helps if you have a passenger in the plane. If you have one person helping, they can do more to help in another armed aircraft. If you solo your sales, it doesn't help at all.

 

The speed upgrade to the Tug is a tossup, but with the upgrade (and armor upgrade) you can just ignore the NPCs chasing you in Seasharks. The speed upgrade won't let you outrun another player in any of the armed aircraft they may have to s*** on your delivery mission

 

BP tires on the Brickade. Stupid it doesn't come with it already, and if you're solo'ing it doesn't really matter, but in a public lobby with hostile players it's stupid not to spend $95k once and risk much more than that every Brickade-delivery.

Question about the warehouse locations.....

 

Does the cost/location of the warehouse give different sourcing locations for the crates?

 

I have two large warehouses and a small, the small is purely for the special crates

 

The first large I bought was around $2.6m, opposite LSC LSIA, the second was the cheapest located at cypress flats at $1.9m

 

May be just a coincidence, but, the majority of steals for the LSIA warehouse is in and around the city, whereas, the cheapest warehouse steal missions seem to be further away

Wow, thanks for your thorough reply! When the update came out, these upgrades seemed too expensive to justify.. not sure of prices but I’ve definitely moved up in the world of Los Santos since that update. I’m sure they’re not too bad, in line with in-game inflation we’ve experienced.

 

My time between now and Christmas will be spent filling up every warehouse, vehicle garage and bunker I own in the hopes of some double money.

If you fill a large warehouse with 1 or 2 crates at a time, the net profit from first full delivery would pay for all six upgrades. You likely don't need all six upgrades.

 

If you're going to fill-n-wait, remember the 80% limit before they can get NPC raids: <13 crates for a small warehouse, <34 in a medium, and <89 in a large.

On consoles, no one has reported an NPC raid with fewer crates than what's listed above; probably not on PC either.

You can continue to fill warehouses past those numbers and, if you keep tending them, they should stay safe. If you're going to ignore them, stay under those numbers

 

If you have a Bunker, fill it will supplies until you have $168,000 worth of product*. It's worth $252,000 to the city. If Rockstar offers 2x$ on bunker sales, that's an easy $504,000 waiting to be cashed in and that quantity is too low to be raided**.

If you're a player that doesn't use a timer, you don't want to be wrong by a couple minutes and screw over your delivery
